| The reason the stranger didn't hear Clive is because he was currently skinning a rabbit he had killed. Going back to his work, he said, "That's fine, neither was I. I thought I heard footsteps. Sit down, I'll split this meat with you." Clive then dug out his flint and steel, and ignited a fire he had set up beforehand. He knew what way Blitzen was going, and knew that he could keep up with them, even if he did stop for an hour. |

| *looks for a marinade I used last summer* If I had that, I'd eat human. Cooking with three foot flames on a propane BBQ is cool, moreso when every time you toss on more marinade, the flames shoot sky-high again. XD |

Knowing this plane's lack of gravity when over one hundred feet away from any island or the Bridge, the angel allowed himself to drift 180 degrees, so that Star appeared upside down in his vision. "By the way, I should introduce myself. I'm Nijiru. Hope you can fly." |

| Clive had noticed a person stop and quickly draw a spear. Must have noticed a monster. They're a bit too close to where Blitzen should be, though. Clive quickly snuck around them, remaining out of sight before spotting what was attacking Blitzen and Efrael. The huge, humanoid tortose had not spotted him yet. "Damn Beastmen." Clive pulled his rifle off his shoulder, loaded a normal Bullet, took aim, and shot the Greater Quadav square in the back of the head. It turned towards the source of the attack, but couldn't see Clive through the darkness. By turning, it left it's back WIDE open to Efrael and Blitzen. (edited by Lord Rahl on 09-14-04 08:05 PM) |

| Nijiru quickly lands on the bridge, a good twenty feet away from Star. Holding both his blades at his sides, he tells Star, "If I stay in the air, this duel will be too easy." Shifting so that he's at the center of the 15 foot wide bridge, he continues. "I like a challange." | |||

| Shifting to block with Yami, Nijiru blocked with the sword, spirit not being a good conductor for electricity. The sword then shifted length to that of a knife. He threw the knife at Star, and followed closely on foot with Hikari, which was now the length of a katana and held in both hands. As he got within three feet, he swung down with a two-handed cleave. | |||

| The ball of light floated just above the mage, giving him a fairly large shadow. Rahl whipped the dagger at the center of the shadow, directly under the mage, while uttering, "Shadow Snap." OOC: Shadow Snap is a spell that prevents the movement of a person's shadow. It activates if a dagger is thrown into a person's shadow. If that person's shadow is removed, through the use of a light spell or something along these lines, the person regains movement ability. The spell will also wear off after a couple minutes. | Nijiru rolled back twice, Star's blade striking the Bridge before him. As Nijiru regained his footing, he held out his left hand and the thrown knife reappeared in it. He dropped both his hands to his side as he thought, He's pretty good at blocking with that shield. Let's see if he can handle this. Nijiru flapped his black wings once, lifting slightly off the ground as both his swords changed back to kodachi. With another flap, he launched himself towards Star faster than he could have on foot, attacking with both blades at once. |

| Nijiru shot towards his right, the lightning bolt flying past him. As he passed over the edge of the bridge, he suddenly dropped and shot left, back under the Bridge. He used it as cover from any attacks Star might launch as he racked his head, trying to think of a plan to sue. | |||

| Nijiru quickly shot towards where Star's back would be if he hadn't turned around, before flying back onto the Bridge. He then charged Star, attacking two points at once, his left knee and right shoulder. |
