yes, but it is only for a short time, then everything changes back to normal, except for the switch. If you want things to stay, try using an on-off block instead, with cusotm blocks. | |||

well, in VB6 I'd use the command randomvariable = &h(your value here) which would take the hex value and convert it to base-10. |

In the layer one editor mode on the OW editor, click on the level tile and then click the yellow dot in the toolbar. make sure that the dialog that pops up is set correctly based on where you want mario to go, then close the dialog and click the yellow switch palace button, as well as hitting "9" on the keyboard. make sure there is a bright green /blue path leading from that level to the next one. to change the level colour, click the menu item "options", then deselect the only option available. then click a red dot that is semitransparent, then right click on the yellow dot. |

well, my best idea would be to create a command-line prgram that could do it. If you have Qbasic, PM me and I will send you a program you could write in it to add up an infinite umber of hex numbers, if you want. | |||

1. To create a new level simply add in a new dot anywhere there is nothing else on layer one in the OW and set it's level number to your new level. 2. Change to the layer 2 mode, select everything in the OW part, and hit the delete button. Change to the layer two event mode, hold page up for a while, then repeat. Repeat those steps for layer one and layer one event modes. After that, design your OW, then place the layer one parts overtop of layer two in the right spots, add the layer one paths, then build the levels. for now though, try making small changes to the OW and practice before doing anything. |

Hey, if I were to want to say, couple this with layer 3 mist as an idea, could I just not animate some of the rows, as in maybe ignore entry 6 for example, to not overwrite the area that uses the fog, while still writing on the areas that don't get covered by the fog? | |||

Well, the biggest problem I've had with backgrounds is that they interfere with post positioning, but with a span tag, they can be separated, which stops any problems from occurring. the only problem right now is that the backgrounds on the board already interfere with the span tag background, covering it up and making it useless, which is the only problem. | |||

A good question, but for some insane reason that doesn't work, only z-index -1 will stop the image and table from interfering with each other. Odd, but true. |
