Well, to fix that glitch, most likely all you'd need to do is set the pipe to ignore mario's input for one frame after he exits the pipe, forcing him to fall. You could probably do that with two RAM bits, by having bit one set in the exit, and then having bit 2 set and bit one cleared after you are out, and only allowing mario to go up after he goes down a frame or two.

Y'know, if you spaced those out right, you could use on of those jumping fire sprites that left behind a trail, and put one on top of the candles, cuz then you'd have hopping fires coming out of the candles!

I think that you should try to expand the ROM, but if that doessn't work then yeah, use two ROMs.

...Or design the blank tiles to work in tandem with the pipe tile, or use BMF's palette ASM patch, or set up a custom path that works with the tile. Gawd, I am just being an idea hamster.

For the most part, yes. Unfortunately, because of the activeness of the forum, these bumps have been messing several people up. Besides, why not have it where after 50 or 75 threads down the list, the board decides in the script, but not based on the user's preferences?

I uh, fifth that. I had huge problems when I was trying to register because I had spelt my password wrong, and it took me many tries to get it to work, and logging in consisted of opening my email, clicking the link, and re-registering in a way to get in. luckily, I fixed it, but if that could be avoided in future...

I liked them too. My freind Matt introduced me to them months ago, but I still find them funny. This guys is experienced though, starting from around 5 years or something he said, I think.

Yeah, that was kinda my original idea, just set the pipes to act like concrete blocks when mario isn't moving, then have all the blocks (vert/hori) the same block, just with entrance blocks and corner tiles adjusting RAM values to change mario's speed and direction, which would have also allow for faster and slower pipes speeds, also changing mid-pipe.

EDIT: One way pipes? Easy. Just copy the regular pipe .bin and EA out the cmp statement and Beq statements so mario can't re-enter the pipe. For crossovers, You may need to re-design the entire system if it doesn't already use RAM bytes to control Mario's movements.

Well,if it isn't too late, go with a title that matches the plot of your hack. I chose Chronicles Of the Mushroom Kingdom because it reflects one of the major plot points across the series. Also, I got it from a flash animation that never came about that also reflected the plotline.

Well, one thing I would need to know is; Who here uses RLM and will admit it? I don't, so if you lock your hack, I respect that. Personally, lock it, because most people here who could unlock it easily usually don't need to anyways.

I'm doing a bit of SNES coding, and I need to know how to do a lookup table, sort of like this:

03 26 95 48

Where I would have the SNES read those sequentially when I want to.

Now, If I wanted some sort of ASM that would let me put those into a table and read from it, how would I do that? I'm trying to reduce ASM size and simplify the coding, because the values are for a sprite's X and Y values, updated once each frame, and there are at least 50 different locations I'll need to hardcode.
