Hey! I am trying to put together a project at school for extra marks, and I am wondering how to edit a specific offset. I kinda mean something like "gosub editthedamnhex (addresstoedit, newvalue)", and "gosub getthedamnhex" with a global value. Could anyone help me, please?

Snipes walked in, then sat down at a table and relaxed, having just finished his first battle here. It had gone quite well, and he was a little tired, much to his surprise. Looking around, his psi-sensors noticed the cat-being, but as it seemed to want no trouble, Snipes left it alone.

so what would you recommend Dr. Kyouji? I would like to see more than one person other than myself actuall state their votes, PM or otherwise.


EDIT: Obviously this thread was a watse of my time, so could a mod please unsticky this and close it? Apparently I shouldn't be putting this kind of an effort into SMW hacking.

OK, no matter what, I still say please vote, and I will hand out the awards. if the thread is closed, PM me. Next year, I will just have to take this somewhere else if this is what will happen. The only people here who have helped out are peter_ac, RR, and keikonium, and only a few others have been on topic. Right now, I have had more than enough of this, so I'm going to leave before I start to get mad (I have yet to actually get mad here. If I do, I will most certainly be banned for a number of reasons.). Good night.

Snipes walks into the booth, aware of how close the "pyro shot" came to hitting him. Calmly unplugging the lights, snipes instead plugs in the stereo and turns it on loudly. Walking out, he surveys the emerency lighting.

"Nice. The batteries still work. I wonder how well the goggles will do now..."

well, what I am trying to do should be simple enough. I'm going to check a file's header that will be in the file type to be edited already, and compare it to an internal checksum. If they match, the program will allow editing, if not, it won't and will not open the file in the first place. Thanks a ton guys

...for those who were wondering, the program is SMWOE. I had a thread on it a week or two ago in the SMW hacking forum.

darn. Mario is missing and... mario teaches grammar? or something like that? played it on my SNES when I was a kid. NO! it was SMRPG. Damn I'm slow. Well, that's three more mario games, bringing the total to:

OK... I just thought that since some people try to do things others don't, they should be recognized. Frankly, if that is your opinion, you are entitled to it, and well, nex ttime those categories won't be in there.

Snipes stared oddly at sanigen, as he performed is move. Confused, he just stood there for a momnet, before raising his pistol and firing one shot straight at sanigen.

Snipes takes the bullet to his arm, dropping the pistol

"happi- oof!"

Snipes was caught off-guard by sanigens. Falling back, he gets up and unsheaths his antimattter sword, his only other weapon.

"Good shot. Time for the end game."

Snipes slashes at sangens with his sword, two horizontal swipes coupled with a powerful uppercut, hoping to make contact with sanigens.

Snipe felt sanigen's foot on his head. Throwing it back, he backflips into the air and point his sword at the ground. Spinning it, he drills thorugh into a service passage, then takes off running, throwing two switches as he passes them. three red lights begin to glow evilly, and Snipes is followed by short pulses of light coming from spots hidden on the wall and floor. Snipes then turns into a dim room covered in electrical controls

"Now to get some power back. I just hope that Sanigen isn't too clsoe to that generator when it get overloaded, heh heh."

Snipes then begins the activation process for the main generator. Throughout the building lights, computer systems, and forum jumps, their long-domant systems newly receiving power, activate. The generator powering the stereo system explodes violently, taking out everything in it's vincinity. The stereo contiues to play, however, out of the generator's reach.
