Should be interesting to see a sonic/mario hack. Good luck no matter which you pick.

I say thatrat the very, very least you have tried. nothing can be better than that. You OW is neat, and only needs a few graphical touchups, but so far it would be better then almost all in that you've put effort into your new GFX. I mean, Damn it! It seems like no-one here but a few people can actually give nice, constructive feedback. just keep up the good work GRAVITEH, and you will do fine.

well, it's up there now. since it's the RPG Series, not just SMRPG, i'd have to say magnus von grapple 2.0 from PM:TTYD. He was so hilarious! Too bad the hideout blew up afterwards, though, because the usic was my favorite.

AND- Block tool uses Decimal numbers, not hex ones. 345 in LM is unequal to 345 in blocktool. Use windows calculator (if you have windows) to do the conversion.

OK, because I was thinking someone could use that as a fifth
mid-level-interchangeable GFX slot, if they were good.

I haven't been here long, but I am finding it easier to talk with other people now, because it used to be I was a loner, but now I have made freinds at school and am not bullied in school any longer, and I fell that this board has played a part in that.

I hust use hotmail because I don't get spam (hoho, how lucky I am!), and don't really care about my email provider, as long as they are online when I want to check my email (not often). I also use MSN, so it was a small boon.

I'll be sure to work that extra bit harder for you, Smallhacker. Don't worry, having two competing editors can spur some people to work harder on theirs, which is better for everyone else .

1. go into calculator --> scientific mode
2. enter into hexadecimal number 200
3. switch to decimal mode and copy the new number down
3. once you know which block you're going to use,
4. open block tool
5. open the ROM
6. click the add block button
7. select the block you want, and in the MAP16 dialog box, anter the number you copied down earlier.
8. click the add block button in the current dialog
9. save
10. enjoy

Not possible yet. You'll have to wait for Habsolute's SMW Dev env. to be upgraded to allow for powerup configuration.

Hey!

I was working on my hack, and found a glitch with one of the sprites I was working on. because of it, I found lightning routine that is already present in the ROM. It is pretty good, too, because it flashes EVERYTHING on layer two, but does not affect andthing else. It also plays the lightning sound effect from the OW, and I believe it is the same routine from the OW because the flash patterns match. I don't have an AVI yet, but I can tell you how to mimic it if you want to experiment.

1. Copy the sprite code (using MWR) from the falling spike sprite into sprite number 0x36, and
2. Add the sprite manually.

It had some other neat effects, too.

Yea, it was ASM pointer 878E. The thing that intrigued me was that the BG was darkened, and the flash worked fine. The only problems were some messed up graphics at a certain height and all sprites going behind layer one tiles.

unfortunately, you'd need to do custom ASM with man y reloc offsets and other tidbits. Maximally complicated for a custom block.

Eh, sorry. It is one and the same. The hammers are sprite data set where the platform would be in the bowser battle.
