Yes and no. Some colours fade out, but other colours still don't fade out. Keikonium is talking about those ones.

my guess is you'd need a set of commands that;

1. get the current colour
2. is it black? if so, skip to 5.
3. darken it
4. re-write it to CGRAM.
5. next colour

Something like that. you'd probably need two jump commands- one to start the routine, and one for step 2.

I usually stray to the right. I used to be left handed, but I grew into being right handed because my grade 1,2,3 teachers were bitches.

Hey! I was working on one of my hacks, and noticed that GFX section 600-67F was unused. Could it be used in-game with special coding, or does something else load there during gameplay?

...secondary exits? just create a normal screen exit, and check the "secondary exit" box. then place the number of the secondary entrace into the "exit to_____" textbox.

Hey!

I am working on Something I call "SMWOE", or "Super Mario world Offset Editor", designed to allow people to edit certain offsets in SMW easier. I'll also add a nice surprise. Any suggestions on what offsets you would really like to see made editable? I already have a few.

well, The original Idea was to help out those people who were bad with hex eeditors, and maybe make things faster for vets. I'll add an expandable scripting engine as well once I get to that stage, so people can write their own scripts for changing certain offsets in SMW (ex. set up a script that will change all offsets to x, and then finish). I think you guys would like it, even though it will have to be in VB, but I will post a set of VB runtime files on my site for those people who don't have them. About bugs, well, lets just say I will follow Blackhole's excample. The program will edit only unlocked ROMS with a 0x200 byte header at first, though, and not others. It shouldn't take too long, since this is a smaller program.

And habsolute, I might just take you up on your offer and add SMWOE as an add-in. I do have the "darkscript" idea set up, and it shouldn't be overly hard, just enough to have an excuse to annoy my IT 9-10 teacher to hell and back .

BMF, I did have that thread in mind, as well. I should have asked if there were any ideas for alternate functionality. Are there?

Edit: I put together a list of offsets to be changed, so that will be done tomorrow. Can't wait for the Computer programming part of the course,should get a lot of extra marks there for this and other projects, including a card game with AI.

Maybe, but meh. The hack is good for your first, and NO ONE can refute that for a lot of people. its sad that I'm supposd to be rowdy, disrespectful, and an asshole because I'm a teen, but it seems to be everyone else who flames people. who is the player? If it's the B.B., then a little more work would be in order, but it looks good so far.
