Yes. I want to re-allocate the SRAM for different variables, and wouldn't want crashes /data corruption if a slot other than slot one was loaded, because the problem is that if I saved to slot one, the slot 2/3 data would be corrupted, and if I saved to slot 2/3, the slot 1 data would be corrupteed, and so on. I'd like to limit the player to one slot only, and prevent accidental data corruption.

heh heh, I haye to rain on your parades, but you probably couldn't do that anyways. AFAIK ExLoROM uses a memory map that takes up twice the amount of space that a HiROM with the same data in it does, I was sure... You couldn't do it, unfortunately.

Example:

LoROM:
data
empty
data
empty

4 banks

HiROM:

data
data

2 banks

Wow. How did you get the OW map to be rainy? Are there enough animated entries for it? Or did you use layer 1?

Hey!

I found a bug in LM 1.62: When you have a level with a custom palette, and also have a custom palette entry, If you select then close the palette editor, the custom animations disappear until you advance the frame one.

I know it's small, but if you fix it Fu, could you maybe add something... else? as a nice gesture?...

Thanks, guys. I just wanted to do something idfferent, and didn't really know how much save space was actually available for a few extra bytes for each save slot, and only really wanted one save slot anyways. Thanks guys. BTW, where is the routine to save variables to SRAM? I'd like to add a few new variables to those saved. I don't need the IPS though. thanks anyways.

I was pretty sure the SFX chp was used rarely, and only in boss battles, but I could be wrong. The slowdown could be to an advantage, actually, because wouldn't mario be a little dizzy and isoriented, slowing things down for him and making him feel woozy? The player would then feel the same. Also, do sprites actually touch the GFX part of the level, or only the memory map? if so, scroll only the GFx and there wouldn't be any problems with sprites, right? it might look neat if you could pull it off right!

Hey!

I am working on COTMK 1, and was wondering if anyone would want to be a beta tester for it. Would anyone like to? The first five people only will get to!

My suggestion would be to make the BG smoother, gradient-like near the top, and to strech the sea MAP16 out a bit and if possible tile some of the sea bits to make it fit better.

ummm.... I guess the earlier demo got a lot of good attention, I guess.
I think the game is good, but I thought I'd get someone else's opinion first.

I don't know the specifics, but there was code that checked which submap you were on and if you had previously rescued yoshi that game session. It checked the submap number against a soecific number in ASM, and if you changed that number it would work.

Great job Habsolute! I'm looking forward to being able to use this. I can't show you any code segments, but if you 'copy' LM's palette dialogs, it might give you a head start. (i.e. one box selects mario's size, another selects his powerup, etc...)
