Only 2 right now, and one is slightly glitchy (only for small mario when he's a few pixels off on the left side), but they are invisible blocks which change the on/off register. I used them for the "Mario's home" level in my demo.

Probably for the ball you would have to use the extra chuck sprite and redo the GFX. The ball would use Mode 7 because without it it would need about 180 different pieces of tile just to get a quarter of the white shine's rotation. I don't think it would be possible to use the BBB in a normal level

I'm quite sure what Nad-Gob means is how do you make your own Map-16 tooltip.

To do that just create a .dsc file with the same name as your have with notepad, and input on one line;

The number of the block you want to retooltip[tab]0[tab]the description

I'm pretty sure the ball floats at a particular level, so you might not be able to change the fall height, just change the level to make it work.

Hey!

I just finished moving to a new house, and I found out something about the floor in Bowser's arena. Here goes:

1. the floor uses palette E

2. only colours 0 to 7 are loaded, 8 to F are not changed, and

3. using that you can change the floor colours.

EDIT: here is my new arena, heh heh.

yeah. Anyways, I think the ball falls to a certain height that is in the top subscreen, where you fight bowser. If you guys placed the ball below that, that could cause problems.

No kidding. I will make an "SMW Knowledge Base" website thing and upload it sometime, just for tidbits like this.

EDIT: I dunno if anyone else has posted this yet, but his GFX file is GFX21. You can also edit it in LM.

I think that macbee has a great idea, but I also think there should be few rips. The only ones I have ever used are the ones that came with DW. Other than that, all I used was original graphics and the old graphics.

there wasn't one as far as I can remember.

That block would actually be nice, and to fix the timer issue all you would need is a second custom block that resets the timer placed a few blocks up so that mario normally doesn't set it off, but does when he jumps (because then he hits it).

VERY nice. About the multiple charactors, you could look up the code for it in the SMAS version of SMW. LM would need to be re-programmed a bit though to allow for oversized ExGFX files with new charactor tiles, though. You wouldn't have room for the player sprites otherwise, I don't think. (I don't use the SMAS version, though so I could be wrong- probably am, too.)

Yea, falling roof sections. Not really, but with the right GFX and disabled mode 7 use in a normal level... You might even be able to use it on a real SNES!
