Here's the basic story: |
I have a friend (a girl - she'll be A) whose mother began dating my father about 7 years ago or so. They've gone together off and on since then, but havn't seen each other now for about a year. Anyway, I've been friends with this girl for quite a while now and talk on the internet all the time and on the phone every once and a while. We've gone and hung out at the nearest mall a few times as well. We're pretty good friends but neither of us want any more than that. Now that you know a little about her, I'm going to get into her friend (no pun intended)(she'll be B). She's shorter than me and is very good looking. I've talked to her for a little over a year now (mostly over the internet, a few times on the phone) and have met her a few times. I tell my other friend (the paragraph further up) that I'm beginning to like this girl but I feel she's out of my league. Nonsense, according to A. So I keep talking to B and things are going good. We're good friends. About a week or so ago, A IMs me and tells me that her and B are in a fight and pretty much hate each other now. I IM B to confirm and it's true. Me, not wanting to be the middle man, just talk to both and do my best to abstain from any arguments. During this time, I talk to A about how I like B a lot and hope that we could go to a movie some time or whatever. A responds and says she doesn't care because she doesn't like B anymore. So I talk to them both some more, and a few days later I find out they're not fighting anymore. Apparantly, A took one of B's bras and threatened to throw it out on the tennis fence during practice (B, being shorter, gave up and they settled it). So yesterday, I'm talking to A and she says there's something that she knows but B would kill her if she told me. Being the sly person I am (  ), I suggest she tells my friend and then my friend (he'll be C), and C tells me. According to A, her and B weren't fighting at all and it was all a plan to get me to reveal some things to B (she was on both of their names). I then find out that B has liked me for a while now and that she'd like to go out sometime. I have informed B that I'm not into the junior-high stuff like saying "I love you" the second we start going out. What's awesome is she feels the exact same way. I'm really excited, because we have tons of things in common. We both have an extremely sarcastic sense of humor, we both love having intelligent conversations about life, politics, etc., and we have similar tastes in music and movies. I feel I can talk to her about anything.I guess I'll sum it up and ask my question now. Basically, A has told C that B likes me, but B has no idea I know this. I don't want my friends to fight for real by telling B I know this, yet I don't really know what to do here. I want to note that I truly am attracted to this girl (both physically and emotionally) and don't want to lose that. Any suggestions? (edited by Vyper on 08-17-05 06:14 PM)

I have, thankfully. I also, just a few minutes ago, told her about what I heard. She confirmed it was true and wasn't angry at all. I also told her I was pretty pleased about what I heard... teehee....I'm so happy |

If you havn't gotten it yet, I'm sarcastic. About everything. I'm hardly ever serious, and when I am, you'll see me make a point of it. Like now. I'm betting a few people who read my first remark got a chuckle. Most people know what it's like to put up with a mother that is extremely over-protective. All I did was point it out more and try to lighten the mood. Just because you're a total hard ass with no sense of humor doesn't mean everyone else is. And besides, do I even care what you think? Seriously? The whole point of me posting that you phailed was to make me look like a total asshat who has no idea what he's doing. That's what comedy is all about. I'm making you think "wow, can this guy be any dumber?" and give you a chuckle. And don't even TRY to respond that it didn't give you laugh inside and make you wonder how stupid people can be sometimes. The SmackDown! end of the PPV seems interesting. I'm going to like the ladder match, shitty angle or not. The Batista/JBL NHB match should be decent. I'm looking for some massive chair shots! Also, I'm looking forward to the Benoit/Jordan match, as Benoit is pretty much the ultimate mid-carder. I really hope Undertaker loses. He's getting old and needs to retire soon. I'm extremely excited about SummerSlam. I really hope Angle beats Eugene's ass, because the whole retard character, although extremely funny, is old. I'll be rooting for Shawn all the way. I believe he's the most talented wrestler of all time (he's got great in-ring ability, unbelievable charisma, and awesome mic skills. The perfect package!), and I really want him to beat Hogan's face in. Shawn could out-perform Hogan any day. Too bad stupid WWE is going to let Hogan get over on Michaels. Finally, what does everyone think about the rumored return of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam? Personally, I believe it's bullshit, but it'd be awesome if it were to happen. Lesnar's return is imminent, after the whole failed NFL experience and all. PS: Go Matt Hardy! Beat Edge's face in, and break Lita's knee again XD!!! EDIT: Forgot about the Jericho/Cena match. Sweet! I can't wait. It's hopefully going to be better than the RE movies, and have more of a horror theme to it. I hate how they turned RE into an action movie. It was really dissapointing. |
