nope, Europe is a different DVD region than the US. And a universal DVD player is expensive, if I'm not wrong. |
About downloading vs owning anime, I think it's a bit of a mixed bag. At our new connection, we can download an episode at 15-20 minutes if it goes well. The fantranslations usually make more sense than the official ones (if they even get subbed instead of dubbed) and I'd say those translating teams have the right to speak about dedication; they don't get paid for sharing new anime with idiots like me who just quit learning Japanese Add to that that I've yet to find a store that sells any anime DVD, and even if I will, the price of an anime DVD compared to a regular DVD is insane. It was like that in Belgium, and I doubt it'll be different here. (ex: my SE Lain DVD costed me 45 Euro, I bought it when I was going to uni, SE Lain was atleast 5 years old then, if not older. The most expensive movie DVD I own is a special edition of The Crow, which costed me 30 Euro when I bought it, within the first week of release. Now tell me again why I should buy anime instead of just downloading it? I will definately buy certain series if they ever make their way here and I can afford it, but untill then, I'm going to watch my fansubs.)

It hate it too, but Balamb Garden in CD2 when against the other Garden... NOw that KICKS ASS. Wasn't that the same music as during the field exam's first part (before they reached the square)? And I agree, the gf's weren't neccessairy in regular battle; they weren't even neccessairy during boss fights because of the easy way of customizing. You only needed them equipped to actually be able to junction more spells to your characters, which, if done correctly, could make your way through the game a breeze. And THAT was one of ff8's biggest flaws; once you figured it out, there was no more challenge.

you can always use the tool command to refine items into other items (if I'm not mistaken), or upgrade your elemental spells. |
Or draw aura from Seifer I remember I royally fucked up on my first play through and still got to the beginning of the 4th disc. If I would've just had internet access back then.. *extremely deep but artsy dreamy sigh*

the tentacles look cool, but the structure you used (it seems to be based off a chrome tutorial) is a bit odd for tentacles. |
The blood is too bright and lacks depth (which is very noticable because the tentacles are 3D-ish), try playing some with bevelle and emboss and shiznit like that to give it some depth.

As you mentioned somewhere, the best way to maintain a healthy weigth is to not neccesairly eat less, but eat healthier, and to excercise more. |
If that movie about the guy eating McDonald's for a month (Supersize me) contains anything even close to the truth, Americans should change their lifestyle rather than secretly hoping they can blame a virus. I'm not saying that will happen, but it's in people's nature to put the cause of their problems outside of themselves.

He showed it in a pretty funny way by explaining that he had to use a cab at a certain point, because he reached the mileage people averagely walked daily.

btw, did you use a brush for the blood? if not, you made something that resembles one of the old brushes I used to use. |
A general tip if you happen to be in a photoshop spree: make stuff darker than you do right now, because the lighter something is, the more it'll show the innacuracies or little mess ups you might have done. (I often make things darker to for example hide that I blended it bad or messed up in some way or another, stuff like that)
