| According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics I am a Catholic. I am however fairly strongly Atheist. I always have been, aside from brief fear-driven early adolescent flirtations with the notion of God - I can remember as a 6 year old arguing with other children that God did not exist. I probably thought of it along the same lines as Santa Claus - a myth or lie told by adults. At about age 10 I was arguing with creationist friends of mine. So yes, I am an Atheist and I don't see any point in qualifying that with "maybe agnostic". My nonbelief in God is not an issue, it never comes up for me.
