Ok! They held a servey at TGS a month ago. And it seems like the DS isn't really popular among developers. They'd rather go with the PSP. Think like this: people will want to watch FF7:Advent Child more than play remakes of N64 games with a radar in another screen. Maybe Nintend could win if it didn't mess with N64 before.

OK! The DS will only be a big success if it gets industry support behind it...If it doesn't, you get another RZONE.

I think the majority of people would rather buy FF7: Advent Children on DVD and watch it on their televisions. Furthermore, the PSP is more expensive for the average consumer, has a hardly reasonable battery life, (how can you watch a whole movie like that?) and doesn't seem to incorporate anything unique or previously unseen. The DS has ONE N64 remake (which hardly is, due to so much new stuff), and the other screen isn't even a damn radar. |

And that means what?... big deal if it's released a few months after the PSP. Originally posted by knuckOriginally posted by Kirby PopStarAnd it has awesome third parties supporting it. Square-enix is a good example. If I recall correctly Square-Enix is also supporting the PSP... FF3(j) anyone? Originally posted by knuckOriginally posted by Kirby PopStarAs we could see in the past years, none of the so "unique" stuff that Nintendo does to it's consoles please people. I didn't mind the connectivity... it's not like the game required it... but it was a nice plus.. and it's not like the focused entirely on that... (only 2 games come to mind where it's a major feature in the game & Four Swords Adventures owns you all) Originally posted by knuckOriginally posted by Kirby PopStarOh yeah, it's a map. Have you played it... How do you know it's just a map...? I think I'll take Kirby's word for this... he's played the DS... also... this image scares me away from the PSP PSP after E3 |

I think Nintendo DS being released before PSP is prolly one reason why it get's succeful. We gonna have to see what the general public and how they are going to meet the product. I can see multiplayer games using one screen as a chatscreen. That's if they are going unorginal. ...I do wonder how it would use the screen when playing GBA games. |

Wrong. It shows the secret pictures that has been encrypted and hidden in every Nintendo game to date. (The picture shows how to unlock world 1.5 in SMB (GBA version) in 64 easy steps.)

Originally posted by knuck Wrong. As great as FF7 AC might be, I'd rather play remakes, new games, and all my GBA games on a DS. "Oh boy, I'm watching FF7 AC on my PSP! COOL!" *movie ends...batteries are spent* "WTF? Now I have to buy more batteries!" lol What a joke. Movie watching on the PSP is going to be an expensive habit, a habit that thankfully I'll steer clear of. Only games for my gaming system please. Radar, Map, Stats, who cares? It's not there just to add onto the price, they have plans for it, and it will STILL be less expensive than the psp, with it's apparently easily scratched pathetic looking ugly screen. It may be a great system and all, but touting it's battery sucking/movie connection is one way to NOT get people to see the PSP in a new light. Especially when said movies can be enjoyed better on a DVD player, where more than one person can see it. *imagines 7 people trying to watch a single PSP movie, smelling each other's breath and ..touching...* *snicker* |
