Isn't there a new Darkstalkers game coming out for the PSP? I'll give Sony one point for that at least. But I dunno... The fact they're really skirting that whole battery life question concerns me. Probably doesn't concern Duracell/Energizer as much. |

How could of sony been tightlipped about the DS? It's not thier system. The UMD might not all be unwritable. A "non-CD" version of the UMDs might come out. Plus, UMD-Rs are a possible. |

Gravity fix them? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, that'll happen. It's been said that Gravity doesn't care about the merchant class. And as that screen on the TwilightRO forums showed, all the merchents seem to care about is vending overpriced items. So no, I don't see Gravity fixing the broken skills. I see Emuz/Raf/Krel/Josh doing it. When they get the chance/time. And I see no problem with "creating a ton of cash" xD Think of it as the Smith's version of Spiral Pierce or Flacon Assult |

Ok! Nope, you can forget about that. Sony already announced that there won't be UMD-Rs...even company's making those games have to deliver the games on a DVD-R to Sony. They will put in on an UMD. But if I'm right, the same goes for Nintendo. Sony finally understood that there is only one way to prevent pirating...use a medium that isn't been used by the masses. So far, Gamecube is the only console that can't be hacked...maybe that's why it doesn't sell too well... |

That's on the pad. I just started playing on a regular basis recently, so it's my first landmark, really.

Hey -- as usual throughout this thread, I'm bringing the next update flurry of news! First, Ms. Utada Hikaru (A very famous Japanese Pop Idol!) is starring in the newest Nintendo DS commercials. These commercials can be viewed at the new official Japanese Nintendo DS web-site. http://www.touch-ds.jp/fla.html Unaware of the cameras recording at the moment, Utada walks up to the Nintendo DS on display for the filming of the commercial, and responded with something like "Is it okay if I touch it?". Her comment was so lively and cheerful that the producers decided to keep the footage to air! This became the first "teaser" Nintendo DS commercial. Sitcking Utada Hikaru in was probably a good move on Nintendo's part, Japan loves her. It also gives the system a feminine appeal while not scaring off the males. For the lazy ones, here is a direct link to the first commercial-- for your convenience. http://media.ds.ign.com/articles/549/549168/vids_1.html The second commercial (the intended filming) features Utada Hikaru actually playing the DS, and commenting on it. You can see that one here... http://media.ds.ign.com/articles/551/551627/vids_1.html?fromint=1 Okay, besides the commercials... There's a shot of the Nintendo DS box art circulating around the internet. Nice!!! And next, the strangest of the news... (I'm going to quote off of Slashdot.) "Posted by Zonk on Tuesday September 28, @06:33PM from the aetheric-plumbing dept. Kamalot writes "It looks like Nintendo is preparing a wireless peer-to-peer network of Nintendo DS ' to allow a new way of playing games online. Each Nintendo DS could includes a repeater hub to extend and share an 802.11 signal. A thread on GameCubicle unveils more, including a service called MarioNette and some disturbing marketing pieces with hidden images and messages." As with everything involving the new handhelds, take this one with a grain of salt." What? What could this all mean? Well, 2004 Warp Pipe Technologies and/or Nintendo apparently have something big up their sleeve, and have been dropping all kinds of strange hints. For more clarification on what this mystery is about... http://www.gamecubicle.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=3035 I suppose that legally, these people can't say anything, so they're dropping all kinds of crazy hints. A kid in the wilderness? A Marionette? (Mario Net!) No eyes!?!? What does it all mean? Staff member has been quoted as saying... "I can't say much due to security reasons, obviously it's something really innovative and will revolutionize multiplay. but that's all i can say, I cant tell you specifics yet -- I can drop hints though, so perhaps you can piece the puzzle togeter... give it some personality." and... "You're lost in the woods of a city, and you know there are others there. But how do you know they're there if you're lost? I know the answer." Ooh. Chilling! More on this at a later date. I'll keep you all up to speed. Lastly, in a tidbit of slightly unrelated news, Mawaru Made in Wario will be known as "Wario Ware Twist" here in the United States. Also, an interesting new GBA game called Yoshi's Universal Gravitation has made it's surfacing. http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/gba/warioware2/scan.jpg Okay... *phew* Now I'm SURE everyone here has, in this post, read or seen something they didn't already have knowledge of. I love delivering the news. *Straightens tie as the self-proclaimed Acmlm Board news anchorman.* |

Maybe something with a GPS and forcing you to go out to certain areas? Actually that was very intresting anyway. I do hope some neighbor buys Nintendo DS. Hell, whenver I travel I probably find some intresting people. Thought it would be funny if the DS snapped up people driving in a car, and then lose them again. |

Does anyone know where and/or how the game calculates whether the battle gives you "chance to strike first", or "monsters strike first", or neither? I'd like to edit it so that your characters' Luck scores influence it.

That's what...a 3 on Beginner? Although I don't think I've ever actually played MAXX Unlimited on pad...even on floorwork. It's probably a relatively tough Beginner song I would imagine, considering the other levels are hard as hell too.

Originally posted by Ok Impala! None of it is really rumours, it's all true stuff. Although the part with "Warp Pipe Technologies and/or Nintendo", people are onl;y assuming what these hints mean. The strange released hints surely mean SOMETHING, so that, in itself, is not a rumour at all. And, Uchiha Itachi... wtf Those are very old mock-ups. |
