Anyone who assumes there is going to be only creativity, or actually, the majority of the system's releases are going to be creativity is naive.

Haven't you heard of THQ...or the term greed?

I loathe those fuckers.

Gavin: If the games were from 10 years ago or more, then that would be 1994 or before. The oldest REMAKE, however, will be 8 years. And, like I said in huge giant letters so that your angry-with-the-world ass can understand, it's essentially a remake.

I don't think anyone is saying every game will be creative genious, but it's unfair to label the DS in the way Gavin has chosen to. Nintendo hasn't even played it's hand yet.

Ah crap. I just got back from my arcade, and after a few more games of DDR, I have to say that I'm addicted. However, I suck.

I may have to invest in one of the home versions and a dance pad...

Find a DDR friend that plays at the same level as you. Playing with someone who's at the same level softens the blow of being embarrassed while better players watch (passer-byes will be mesmorized by players on the pad, no matter the difficulty they're on). Just remember: even the best players started where you are and welcome to the addiction

THQ aren't terrible developers though. They have a higher miss ratio than other companies but when they do succeed, it's usually a decent game.

This thread really should be stickied, it's gonna get bigger than the DDR thread up there.

Anyway, hot news!!! Piping hot!

"According the an interview with Mitsuaki Hagiwara in the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream, the Nintendo DS includes a port which Nintendo has not yet commented on a use for. The small square port is located on the lower right side of the unit, next to the headphone port. Higiwara said that the hole is not to hold the stylus (this slot is on the back of the DS) and that the purpose of this port will be revealed at a later date.

Higiwara also mentioned that Nintendo is considering releasing the DS in multiple colors. There are no details as to specific color schemes yet, but all the DS systems will be two-toned. Higiwara said that if Nintendo does release the DS in multiple colors, they would appeal to every region of the world, as the system is being released at almost the same time worldwide."

What could this mystery port be for?!? Also, what two-toned colors will the DS come in? Any suggestions of what you think will be, or should be the colors? Any personal guesses or speculation about the little square port? Post away!

Small and square... PC link?

As for color combinations, Nintendo should start off with these four... Silver/black (what we've seen in screens), green/white (OK, this one's for me... ), ice blue/white, black/red (NES scheme).

Possible as well although I can't see the use for that.

Unless said device had two ports - one for the DS and a USB port.

You know what would be hilarious, if that port were used for a string hand fastner.

This isn't the first case of nintendo releashing a mystery port with one of their systems. The first NES model for starters. First, flip the system upside, you'll find a plastic cover. Take that off, you'll find a piece of unneeded plastice attached to the main body by four mear strips of thin plastic. Take a standard screw driver and hack away at these four strips. Once you remove this unneeded piece of plastic, then lookie! You've discovered a mystery port!

Ok!

It might be a USB port. Or...a small camera kinda thing.

As for the colors, they will always combine lighter and darker colors. So white and Red or Light and Dark Blue or...so many combinations.

Or a friend that is a little bit better, it allows you to get some good criticism without feeling like a jack ass.
