| How much DDR addict I am? Well at first, I was the average guy spending his time at good ol' racers at the arcades (Initial D freak), then I stumbled across a dual DDR platform (was the third or fourth mix ~ can't remember).. I tried a few tunes.. wasn't too good at first, but latter on I kept spending my days at the arcades dancing to some ũber cool songs. After about I year, I had bought practically every psx remixes with the plastic mats... That was good old times, I remember pulling off amazing scores @ Paranoia and Afronova songs.. Now times have changed, I'm not as good as before, have practically stopped. Sold the PSX remixes and the mats.. Until very recently, I wasn't interested anymore on the DDR/StepMania phenomen.. until the time I scrumbled about the fact that they released metal platforms with rails! | I played some DDR today, passed my first six footer (Senorita on Standard) with a C (not too bad, I was expecting a D or an E), but that was really the best I could do. I tried Across the Nightmare on Light, just couldn't keep up with the beat. I think I was a bit tired, I did work earlier that day and I had just played through a few rounds. But I'm finding that the 8th Mix version of Drop the Bomb is an excellent song, both to play to and to listen to. It's got a lot more major chords than the Konamix version, and it's just a lot more interesting to listen to, not as boring as the Konamix. It's faster, too, but surprisingly it only goes at a good 150 beats per minute. Lots of freezes, though, and those are sorta a weakness for me, same with high air songs (those are the ones that make you go from up/right to up/left to down/right to down/left and around... right...?), I get confused by the formations and it's hard for me to go from two foot step to two foot step when I'm expecting a two step then straight back to a single step.
