| They moved our machine to the back of the room, tucked away in a corner so we dont crowd the doorway. When it was in front of the arcade, we used to get several spectators and cheers when we did hard songs. They moved the machine in the corner far away from the well paying token games so people dont see us around much. I dont ever feel nervous when I play infront of people. But I dont feel nervous doing anything else so that might be it. | |||

| Exactly, who cares what others think. Alot of the newbies have a problem with that. I brought a friend to play it and she said she felt so stupid, even though there was no one around. And besides, when you reach the standard level, you are not embarrassing yourself, people are mostly impressed by the paterns and you being able to follow them. Some are even amazed with light. I remember when I was a pro at light but not quit great at standard, I was doing Afronova-light. I did fairly well and didnt slip up often, a older woman(late 30s' maybe) was staring like I had just cured world hunger, mouth opened. Cant imagine her seeing someone pass a 10 footer, she would pass-out. | |||

| I used WinMX. I'm searching with Kazaa now, but it doesn't seem to give any results. (Heh, I'm strange. I have two filesharing programs installed.  )Anyway, it has started downloading on WinMX now, although it doesn't go especially fast. (4.20 K/s right now.  ) I have broadband, so it can do alot better. |

| The first time I tried, no one was around. When people are watching, I get the jitters, but I'm a good enough player where I literally phase out the rest of the world besides the music when I play (hell sometimes I find myself dazing out and still dancing perfectly ). Having a group clap for you for dancing a hard song (like Matsuri Japan or something) is the greatest feeling in the world and drives me (and others?) to play more and better songs. Now if only I could freestyle :/ |
