| Because he probably would've been worn to death. He's still not really a pro yet, he's definitely better than the average joe...but he's right around the 8's-9's range. I dunno about you...but if I had to do SAKURA, PARANOiA Survivor, MAX 300, Legend of MAX, and PARANOiA Survivor MAX in that order on Heavy...without bar...I'd be dead. That's probably really close to what the advanced players were doing (I'm going to assume...unless they pulled out PSM Oni, then I fear for you). |

| who doesn't have math brains? I've finished all college level mathematics at the basic level: calculus, linear algebra, differential equation, statistics, and discrete math the thing is, when do americans have to convert to metric (or foreigners to english system)? only in the scientific community and when we travel...otherwise, we aren't accustomed to multiplying such numbers. So, you can tell me how many miles are in 800km without writing it down on paper or using calc |

| Im glad I live in a town were DDR isnt too well known. The best player in our city probobly couldnt pull that off. Only one machine around here, might be getting a second one with this new arcade coming. | |||

I'm quite good at math, but I find it very boring doing the same type of figures over and over again...  I like using math when it's practical, doing it theoritcally and over a long time get's boring for me. |

| I have a knack for math. I look at a problem and my brain solves it for me, without me even knowing I havent tried anything more advanced than algebra though, so Ill have to see about this next year in school. |

Well I learned to play on 1.5x modifier, playing on 1x forces me go play on Standard. We have a handful of uber god players (i.e., can AA shit like Max 300 without bar), but I could have competed if speed modifiers were allowed, atleast, on the normal heavy song (I can AA quite a few). But like I said, without modifiers, I can't even AA a standard song, thus, during the qualifying round, they let me stay in Standard. It turns out that I won $15: $8 in tokens and $7 cash. The registration was $10 so I guess I made $5 from playing the game, not too bad I suppose  .For those who don't know how a standard tournament works: The most perfects win (doesn't matter what grade, or if you even fail the song). One player chooses a song. The other player chooses the next, then a random song. |

| Much, actually. Anyways, yea, Geometry would be very BLEGGHHHGHGHGH...solving proofs is not my idea of a math class...and see that's pretty much the majority of what you do from that end up. |

| So was there one that you played a lot during the tournament then, if that's the case I figured you'd probably try to keep centered on one song throughout so that you got as many Perfects as you could. |
