| Does it qualify If you upgrade from using .8 on a daily basis to using .9 on a daily basis? I have already customized my .9 but I still haven't gotten it completly suited to my needs.... Xk my old computer can run Firefox and it sucks so bad...it's 200 mhz... |

| I personally didn't find anything considerably worse about it than IE, other than these three key points.. -Mozilla won't even load gmail.google.com.. it says the webpage is empty or something.  -It's ugly -You can't copy images. You have to download them. Fat waste of time for no reason. |

| Oh, no, I didn't even bother uninstalling the old version. I just went through and tossed every single folder I could find containing into the bin. Needless to say, the fact that it scrolls at ONE LINE AT A TIME [hell, even IE goes about 3 or so] doesn't help much. Let's see... hm. The fact that it uses the wrong scheme [my menu text is black, you piece of shit, not bright gray, and it's also tahoma, not Press Start K] and if you use a non-default font [cough PSK] for application text [like I did] you end up getting the Prefs box that cuts off half the stuff because they weren't smart enough to use the default font like every other dialog box out there [and it's resizable, another few points off]... So far the only thing that's helped is getting the Doodle scheme [nifty buttons] and that's it. Any other attempts to get something ended with an error or it just not working period. [Waiting, dur] And whenever I'd try and get something [like, say, Mouse Gestures or Ad Block] it'd pop up the "blah blah installed ok blah restart" dialog about six times. Then it didn't even work right. To make it so I don't forget, it also will put verticle and horiz. scollbars if needed, whereas both other browsers will only do it if the code SAYS to do it; this makes it a pain editing layouts because of the rediculously tiny verticle area... argh. Oh, and did I mention that the 'view source' dialog sucks? I'll look through the options [again] ... I'd rather use Meatpad for that. |

| Funny how this crap happens to about you and a minority of users. Nothing bad has happened to me and the rest of my family who now use Firefox, apart from when i have a shitload of programs open and various one crash, including Firefox. The popup blocker is better than the IE one. Some popups manage to get through with IE, whereas I have never got one in Firefox. To be honest though, I find Avant Browser just as useful as Firefox, and is my secondary browser, except popups still manage to get through with that one too. | |||
