 As this chart shows, IE and Mozilla are both heavily in use by board visitors. I encourage you, when designing layouts, etc, to make sure that they work in both IE and Mozilla. There will be people saying "but IE still has the biggest market share, why should I care about the other suckers?" Because the other browsers are constantly eating market share from IE. In a matter of ten to fifteen months, the other browsers will have one third of the market share. By then you'll be kicking yourself for pretending other browsers doesn't exist. I'm not asking you to like the other browsers, I'm asking you to acquire a brain at your nearest Get a Clue dealer and start checking stuff in other browsers, because like it or not, a lot of people are using them, and nothing you can say in praise of a three year old browser will change that. | Whoops. I should've turned my browser back to "Identify as Opera 7" instead of "Identify as IE v6". Oh well, damn. Although, I have to ask Jesp, did you filter out multiples of one IP and such?  And personally I could care less if my layout works in EITHER of them. The first test worked in Opera only [or so it seemed].... further layouts will only be tested in Opera and IE. Although I'd have to laugh if it didn't work in Firefox. Heh. I think one of the first versions of this layout failed to work in IE and yet worked in both, although I didn't bother to test in either. Although, if this code fucks up in any browser, the browser should be killed. Assuming it's not Lynx. |

| No, I'm not filtering out multiple IPs, because the data is already fucked up (some people have turned off layouts), and the idea is to get across the actual usage. You could have nine thousand users using IE loading one page per day and fifty Firefox users loading twohundred pages per day. In this example, the fifty users are actually using it more. No, my point is that those enemies are related to Zols and Gels, and that the Giant Buzz Blob and the Shadow of Bot from LA are related to Bits and Bots. | Damn...this is now the third 'prove them wrong' thing that's gone down in terms of non-IE browsers. I swear there's supposed to be a point to all of this...it's right on the tip of my tongue... Personally, it's all a matter of preference...if you want to have some other browser, more power to you... |

| Well I used IE for a long time and when it didnt cause me trouble I had no problem with it but the way I see and this could be totally naive , but Microsoft seems to be the master of the browser market (or whatever u wanna call it) so they dont have to go above and beyond to get you to use thier browser but smaller developers like opera and mozilla really have to make a good browser for people to wanna use it but really in the end I dont think it matters that much, also it seems there is a fairly large group of people who use mozilla. Not just a small band of rebels. | |||

| Hm, looking at the fine print, it seems I count as less of a Mozilla-user... I have layouts turned off, you see... a more accurate way of checking would be a log that logged browser usage that was in the board layout itself, but I'm guessing Jesper doesnt have access to the board layout code. | |||
