"You are an excellent runner. But now is the time to put your skills to the test."

* Metal hover-backflipped up into the air, glowing again. This time, though, the energy stayed on him. Suddenly, he phased out of existance on this plane. A few unsettling moments of silence passed.... VOOOSH! VOOSH! VOOOOOSH! A portal ripped open outta nowhere at Garro's left side. Metal flew out of it, charging at Garro from the side with his steel gauntlets. Whether or not that hit, he quickly dissappeared into another portal. Only seconds after that, another portal opened beneath Garro, and Metal flew upwards out of it like a rocket, looking to knock Garro into the air. Like the other portal attack, he vanished again. Then he reappeared behind wherever Garro was and launched a flying kick. Then he dissappeared and phased back in from diagonally above Garro, spinning like a top with his tough titanium arms. After that assault, he landed on the ground in front of his opponent and caught his breath. Had his risky, power-wasting move hurt Garro? *

"This calls for a snap decision!"

* Metal, with almost no time to think, flew... INTO THE ATTACK. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, he just did the opposite of dodging. Now, of course, this dealt even more damage to him and his cybernetic exoskeleton... *

"Holy Meteor!"

* At which point Garro should be freaked out. Metal, still burning, in fact, on fire with holy energy, and blitzing with a combination of electricity, interdimensional power, and just plain old fire, was flying at him, at point blank range, giving Garro only a fraction of a second to react. Metal, sporting an extremely high tolerance for pain, had apparently taken damage but not felt it as much as he should... and now he's about to give Garro a taste of his own medicine! *

"And so the holy father met his match... machinery."

* With those cryptic words, Metal focused his energies into the flaming rain of death. He crossed his arms, and immediately took several hits, dead-on. But as his name had implied, this was intentional... his dodging ability sub-par, but his ability to take damage being excellent... he managed to shave some points off of that damage, but wear was beginning to show on his cybernetic body. Several blue-and-wire wirery things could be clearly seen on Metal's arms, and some sparks did fly. Thankfully, the duct tape kept his main device together, although it was on fire. Metal paid no heed to this, though, as he rose off of the ground yet again. *

"Allow me to introduce you to my secret weapon."

* Suddenly, the world blurred for both fighters. Metal suddenly dropped and fell to the floor... but he knew what he was doing. For a soul resided in that most mechanical of a body, and with the help of the dimensional machine, he had managed to enter the realm of spirit, in which one sees things as they 'truly' are. All that Garro would probably notice is the death of his opponent, however only a physical one; lingering energies would tell the truth, that he was not dead. Meanwhile, in the spiritual realm, the spirit of Metal, one without cybernetic enhancements or any material objects, but merely his fists, suavely walked up to the unsuspecting Garro (Who only saw the corpse of Metal--though he'd probably realize something was up quickly) and... reached out for his head. At this point, things would become easily observable to both realms. Metal's spirit, clearly human, grabbing Garro by the head... and by that, attempting to posess him. Regardless of whether Garro was able to resist or even shoot the maleovent being which accosted him, the whole attempt was likely to deal damage to his spirit directly, something far harder to heal than wounds. But what of the metallic shell which once housed this plane-hopping maniac? We shall see... *

* Rising up yet again, Metal's body was alive despite having been dead by his own hand moments earlier. Despite the damage from that spiritual trip, he had learned much about his opponent... very useful information. *

"While your mind is strong, I have learned that you, too, appear to be balancing the powers of good and evil in your mind. Although you were too strong a mind to posess, I sensed tension... tension... which can be snapped."

* Metal began powering up, yet again. He really was abusing his body for this battle. However, it had been revealed that his ability to separate from his body was how he managed to endure such pain, making his actual body only needing to operate; it could be in as much pain as possible but he did not listen. He floated up again. This time, the generator exploded off of his back. But... he was still floating... some sort of blue glow could be seen on his feet. *

"How lucky of me, to assimilate the ability of that device into my being. Alas, it has damaged me much, and I will have to be more careful."

* Mentally fatigued, Metal opted for a more traditional type of battle; he whipped out his famed DVD launcher and spun it up. *

"Fire... con dios."

* At which point he opened fire with the rapidly spinning, razor sharp DVDs of gigli at his opponent's extremities. He also started defensively bobbing and weaving, making targeting difficult. However, sparks and exposed wiring showed off his damaged body, and he seemed weary. *

"Fast fingers... slow bullets."

* Arrogantly, Metal outstretched his right hand. A strong energy field soon appeared around it, attracting the bullets and even the discarded DVD fragments together into a swirling maelstorm of energy which orbited his hand. *

"Energy Crush!"

* The energy suddenly became attracted to Garro, having been reversed in charge. The resulting deadly magnetic attraction sent the aura of sharp and fast-swirling metal objects at the priest. Talk about recycling; the projectiles had enough charge to fly into Garro, bounce off of him, and hit him again for at least 5-6 times each. While Garro was preoccupied by the metallic madness, Metal began charging up energy, which had the nice special effect of himself being surrounded by a pillar of blue light. Purty... and easy to aim at. *

"Another Gate."

* After saying this non sequitor remark, Metal suddenly put his palms into the air. The energy suddenly vanished from around Metal... but not before revealing the sinister purpose of that charging. Almost immediately, a portal appeared on Garro's right... and then another one on his left. Both pulled at him... in fact, they pulled EXTREMELY hard, attempting to shred him between the two portals and teleport the remains to two different planes of existance. Metal, however, was not done. He didn't want to look foolish if Garro was also immune to this, as Garro had been immune to stranger things before. He floated up, and then quickly fired off a bolt of blue energy from each hand into each portal. The result? The portals shredded the energy, and then began shooting lightning bolts between one another. Metal, attempting to be prepared this time, was sure that if the dimensional pull didn't hurt, the lightning would. He also felt drained from all of that effort... but refused to back down. Hopefully mind would continue to hold control over matter. *

"At last, you show your weakness. However, it was not without me having to resort to extremes.... you were getting the better of me for a while there."

* Metal, eying the blood and knowing Garro's ability to pull deadly attacks out of nothing, immediately shifted to the defense. He flew around in a circular arc behind his opponent, and then got into a defensive stance. With a bit more humming, a blue shield surrounded him. It drained more of his precious little electrical power, but it would be worth it. If his mind was correct about some vague religious revenge being related to shedding the blood of priests, he could afford a little energy drain in exchange from protection against utter smiting. He did continue moving, though... attempting to keep the priest between him and the blood as if the priest would work as some sort of human shield. His mind was working on the illogical and strange assumptions... but he had not the energy to conjure up an awesome encore. Even while projecting the field, he was able to begin recovering energy... just slowly. He eyed his opponent nervously, with blood, oil, and gears about his body. His once-smooth armor was cracked and had several blackened spots; and what wasn't blackened was dull. A few areas revealed pale flesh, flesh which had hid from the light of the sun for years. The gaze through his visor was one of unearthly cool, as if he had eyes which could pierce through existance and see through even his own self. *

"May my cursed sight never fail me!"

* An enigma, this Metal Man was. Here he was, fighting a holy priest, a known associate of the legendary being known only as Grey. All... for a tournament whose prize he knew nothing about and cared neither for it's existance or possible wealth. He lived... to fight here. His struggle fighting the supernatural with technology was epic, and his mind clearly insane. For what God-fearing man would fight God's messenger? Of course. One who did not believe. It might insinuate in Garro's mind that this person did not believe that a holy being brought the energy, that there was no spirit behind those dark eyes, that this being was merely energy and machinery coupled in an unholy union. The psychological existance of a being made solely to battle was overwhelming enough; but the way he took damage with no qualm and dished out reality-altering attacks like potato chips are eaten by couch potatoes was beyond surreal. Let alone the fact that he moved like a rabid disco dancer and clearly displayed eccentricity--he was sentient, whatever he was. A smug look seemed to omnisciently pervade off of his helmet, permanently frozen in cold and uncaring metal. He was a man of steel, because he took all that came at him with a mechanical precision and heartlessly attacked those whom he was chosen to fight. Even though he was protecting himself, any deep psychological analysis would reveal that he was taunting all that was holy, that he thought he could trick and find holes in the strategy of someone backed by a perfect being. That he thought he could stop the associate of a legend with mere logic, that he could defy logic and time with that infernal, all-piercing gaze. Whatever it was, it was certainly spooky, bordering on the paradoxial. *

* Metal looked at the spectacle, but not in awe... in fact... he was laughing. At himself. After a few moments of creepiness, he straightened his frame. The meteors had not come yet, although he didn't even know of meteors coming to destroy him. He focused on the unholy acts being done by Garro... laughing in the face of death, indeed. *

"So, once again, I am proven right. There is no perfect being... and thus a far more ancient power reigns supreme."

* Metal began walking towards Garro, not minding the blood or the unholy ritual that was taking place. Confident even more than before, his triumphant march and blatant disregard for the enormity of what was about to happen revealed only one thing; he was, in a way, the opposite of Garro. A being whose faith was in himself. It was true. Metal thought of himself as God; that by doing so he could do anything, and that alone boosted his power, merely because he rarely became depressed or felt hopeless. It was only proof to the contrary that would affect this, and it was clear it had been the reason he took a beating earlier; it had appeared a more supreme being had been giving his foe might beyond his means. But now that the cat was out of the bag, and clearly Garro was not a holy warrior, he was not even feeling even; he felt superior once more. And that is why, walking right up to the self-stabbed Garro, he did nothing more but punch him in the face. Would this cause some unholy curse? Damage Metal? Cause the meteors to hit him while distracted? Destroy Ohio? No one knows. But the energized blue fist clearly would leave a mark if not impeded by something, whether metaphysical, natural, or even something else. *

"The power of the individual shall overcome!"

* Metal laughed again... then began a monologue himself. *

"Most spells and rituals are prone to being disrupted if someone who doesn't believe in them goes right up and smacks the people involved around. You're not a perfect being, of course--it was that I thought you had the power of one behind you. Which you yourself said was false. Thusly, I agreed that there was a balance of good and evil and that from the divine perspective that there is no good and evil. But there aren't any divine deities here so thus good and evil reign supreme as thoughts which we have inside our heads. As a result I am able to use my own belief in myself to increase my battle ability to deal with whatever you dish out, unless you manage to outsmart me, which you have done on occasion. But, the battle is still undecided, so..."

* Metal pulled out a levitating chalkboard and began writing an equation; he had been silently thinking to himself while Garro was on the ground. *

"This is an equation of two variables. X is me, and Y is you. Now, currently, X is greater than Y, at least in my opinion, when it comes to the battle standings. However, Y may square itself through some magical spell, which I consider to be variable J. Now, Y * J = Y^2, which means that Y^2 is most likely greater than X. However, that only applies if the spell succeeds and I do not find some rude way to smack it down like before. Now, on the other hand, we must address shifts between dimensions and the amount of people who go to school on Wednesdays. When the amount of people going to school bring three quarts of horsefeathers..."

* It would become apparent that Metal was going into one of his infamous lectures. Garro could not only feel his brain hurting from the large about of equations and vague problems being dealt with, but tired from the endlessly boring nonsense which Metal spouted from his mouth. This, as a result, could actually be considered an attack; should Garro lack the will to resist the effects, he would find himself both asleep and with a headache. Metal continued to speak on and on and on, presumably until Garro did something to distract him or attacked him. *

"Now, if we add together the matrix to Star Wars, we have Dave's Honda Dealership, which can save us a lot of money, much like Geico saved me on my car insurance, but... then I bought the non-yellow book and wasted the rest on a Pizza Hut Bread Stick cube..."

* The speech was most certainly annoying... *

"And then... ahhhhh!!!!"

* Metal's chalkboard exploded, sending chalkboarded equations and variables flying everywhere. He was also burned, especially by the burning holy light of burning that was burning his knees, his elbows, and his golden tooth. Oh, wait, he didn't have one. Sorry. However, he had his own attack. The almighty attack of 1337ness which would make him all powerful! At least, he hoped it did. He took off one of his shoes. *

"Meet your match, Garro! Eat this! Ahhhhh!!!!"

* Metal ran into the stream of still-flying fireballs, swatting at them with his shoe. For no good reason... this worked. Soon, balls of holy energy were flying at Garro. Metal was also flying at Garro, having run up into his face. At which point he decided to psychotically stab Garro in the chest with the metallic shoe, making a series of metallic thuds. *

"Remember the Alamo!!!!!"

* He then shoved the shoe into Garro's mouth and then took off his other shoe. With which he backed off a bit and then said... *

"....Shoe."

* At which point the shoe that was in Garro's mouth (Or possibly elsewhere, if Garro managed to take it out) would explode. The shoe in Metal's hand, on the other hand (not the left hand) would then fly at Garro, glowing various weird colors. After which a weird looking portal that appeared to be the doors of a payless shoe store opened up. With that came a steady stream of radioactive shoes, all flying at Garro's noggin. Oh my, oh my, what would he do? *

* Stares blankly as the radioactive and cheap shoes vanish *

"Very well then. If Payless doesn't suit you, then perhaps these suits from Men's Warehouse will do!"

* Metal tore open a hole in the fabric of time and space. With this, he could conjure ANYTHING. However, he chose to use it to loot suits out of Men's warehouse. Why did he choose this? Nobody knows, especially with the weird and wonderful weapons he could have just plucked out. Anyway, he then snapped his fingers twice. The expensive suits suddenly folded together to make a weird, glowing staff... which Metal immediately used to pole-vault into the air. *

"Suit suit suit suit suit suit!!! Aieeeeeee!!!"

* What he was going to do next was unknown to both himself and his opponent. *

OOC: XD I had no clue; I don't usually frequent tha tplace... but I guess I chose a lucky pun.

* Metal had no clue how deadly this staff was... Garro could use that to his advantage, in the next 15 seconds of dramatic slow-mo. *

"Nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" (Slow-mo distortion)

* Time up! After Garro had done whatever he had to protect himself... the true power of Metal's attack unlocked itself. The staff flew towards Garro, Metal blurring towards him as reality literally exploded into glass shards. In the confusion, Metal flew around like a demented ball of flubber, flailing the staff around and sending beams of radioactive George Zimmer power everywhere. At the same time, he threatened to beat the manliness out of his target. Perhaps there was a reason he was called Metal Man... meanwhile, Metal continued flying around, wreaking havoc and most likely triggering other evil George Zimmer-related effects on Garro. *

"Ahhhhhhhh!!! It's vastly more powerful than I thought it would be! Now I can't stoooooooop iiiiiiiiiiitt!!!!" *FWOOM* *FWOOSH* *ZOOM* *ZAP* *BZORK*

* After a few more seconds of controlled chaos, the randomness and the power sent Metal and the staff careening around the arena, unwittingly setting himself on fire and then sending him through a sticky and popcorn-covered stand full of fans. He came out covered in the random stuff people discard when they leave a major event. *

* Metal landed on the ground, his staff incinerated, and himself, still burning of holy energy. He could not see very well, and various parts of his true body show through the armor--with veins that glowed. Nothing less than phazon could be running through them. But before Garro could finish Metal off, Metal got up... and began walking towards him, in that creepy Terminator-esque "Still walking despite heavy damage" way. When he reached a mid-point of where he had landed and where Garro was... the glow ended. *

"You are an admirable opponent. But rather than waste your time using such terrible indirect attacks, I should give you a real fight. Kneel in fear before the ultimate power!"

* Metal floated up, his arms and head slumped. Then... he lifted his fists into the air. Endless lines of green binary code appeared around them. *

"Beneath Zimmer, 4Chan, and CATS, there is Binary code!"

* At the height of his power, Metal spread his fists into outstretched palms.... and unleashed a horrific spray of 1s and 0s, all of them exploding on contact... besides those which mutated or glitched objects. The massive spray would engulf a large area if left unchecked. *

* Metal, blasted into space, had nothing left. He was totally wiped out, and he would soon suffocate from the lack of oxygen up here. Even worse, a blast of light energy roughly equally a solar flare was about to hit him. If he wasn't killed by fatigue and suffocation, this would ensure it. However... something very odd happened. He actually drew on his nothingness. While Garro was near blinded by his own charging, Metal straightened out in outer space. There, he silently extended his palms into the air, his frayed, damaged, and sparking hands looking more like claws. An utter expression of ultimate hatred spread across his face... and speaking words that could not be heard (No sound in space), a whole variety of runes began to form around him. The hapless satellite (and likely others nearby) would probably capture this rapidly increasing energy. The energy charged fast; he would be hit by the white light soon. The runes intensified, and then imploded... as they had increased in mass so much they were unable to stay together. A few desperate thoughts flew through Metal's mind. *

e=mc². 1 ÷ 0 = Undefined. Chaos will always increase in the universe.

* After which, he was engulfed in a sphere of pure blackness. The white light hit him shortly after.... engulfing the small black sphere entirely. After a few minutes of blinding light, the sky cleared, and nothing was left... *

"X-ZONE!!!"

* Out of nothing... came worse than nothing. A huge hole RIPPED through the sky... revealing that Metal had used the attack to strengthen his own. While it damaged him extremely heavily, and it would be questionable if he could survive the aftermath... by taking the damage, this amplified his ability to call upon dark, chaotic energies, through the increased nothingness. This... was the sort of stuff reserved for metaphysical history. But that... was only the beginning of the attack. The sphere increased... nay... it increased its power to decrease. It began falling... taking with it the meteorites from Garro's previous attack, which had (unfortunately) taken way too long to land. The swirling mass of rocks was made even worse, as they caught on fire during re-entry. Furthermore, the ruins of several satellites had fallen prey to both attacks. Metal, in the center, continued adding to his X-Zone field, making it larger. The sky would suddenly go dark for Garro; the huge mass of Metal, satellites, X-Zone sphere, and meteorites eclipsed the sun. But it only got worse. Then, the gravity suddenly began pulling TOWARDS it from the ground. It was not falling; it was pulling itself into the planet! The ground around Garro, as well as Garro, would begin to be pulled upwards, and damaged heavily by the high gravity field. And then... it was time for the inevitable collision. Both Metal and Garro were probably moving at an impressive rate of speed, ESPECIALLY Metal, and... when they collided, several sonic booms resulted, followed by hundreds of explosions as the field engulfed them both and brought all of the satellites and asteroids to crash into them. Metal, still barely alive, even attempted to punch and kick Garro while he was held by the field. Both took hits from the incoming debris, but obviously most of the debris hit Garro. After three minutes of total disruption of the gravitational field, the entire X-Zone sphere exploded, hurling both fighters to the opposite ends of the arena, on fire, blasted, and also having taken heavy gravity damage. Metal, looking more like a crumpled gum wrapper than a cyborg, landed on his feet.... and then fell to his knees. If his opponent had survived this, he WOULD be at his mercy. As it was, he barely managed to blow out the fire on himself. *

"Do... not... mess... with... Metal Man..."

* Metal, who was a mess through and through, barely in better shape. The only difference was that he controlled the gravity; only the things that had hit him, re-entry, and damage from near-suffocation had effected him. This was after having the tar beaten out of him from being thrown a long ways and pelted with meteorites. However, the incessent rage and urge to succeed continued in the heavily damaged being. Standing from his position, yet wobbling a bit, he knew that this was the decisive moment. With both he and his opponent utterly drained, a decisive move by either could decide the battle. He held the upper hand, but just as easily as he had used his pain to increase that attack's power, righteous fury on behalf of his opponent would likely give him the same. And in that game, Metal would lose, since he was in better condition. The remnants of his visor continued to function, although it displayed many, many warning messages. The basic systems, so integrated with Metal that they would only go down if he was entirely annihilated, scanned his opponent. Metal continued standing... as he could recover the energy to move more if he rested a little. His slow but steady neural scan system detected multiple weak spots; his opponent was also extremely damaged, and could be dealt with in a simple matter. For a fully-healed person, it would be a joke. *

"Your valiant and righteous ways... *cough* *hack* will be engulfed by the sea of eternal chaos..."

* After moaning out those words, he began walking towards his far away opponent. Energy blitzed through him with every step, several cut wires feeding electricity into his flesh instead of unfeeling servos. He forged on regardless. He pulled out a shiny black watch, and sloppily stuck it on. Then he continued on. Slowly but surely, he would reach his opponent, or die from self-electrocution. His will forced his body to obey; this, amplified by commands set in his computer, gave him a superhuman will. But an unsettling question remained: could he outsmart his opponent and secure victory? The amtch had been evenly matched for the most part. It was sheer luck that he came out on top with the showstopper phase of the battle. But he would have to break the pattern of trading off winning and losing blows into his favor to win. *
