| Caution! Only join this if you want your character to become a semi-important / important character in Cyberaptor's story line! This will be the first time anyone gets to see Cybercity, so it's a bit of a special occasion. Hey, I might even introduce some of Cyberaptor's fellow guardians. About time, I think. Normal rules. Be prepared to fight more than just Cyberaptor (so you might want summons). This battle might change its location a little bit, along the way. ----- A phantom voice echoed across a desolate, fog covered lake. It was a booming, powerful, wise voice. It appeared without warning, and ended without any explanation at all. Profound Idea: Disable the Defense Field! All was quiet again, but then, an island began materializing out of thin air! It grew outward in, starting from its sandy shores. As more of the island appeared, the sand was soon replaced with dull metal, which stretched like a plane until about a quarter of the way in. From there, gigantic, metal cubes the size of skyscrapers phased into sight, all armed to the brim with technology incomprehensible to beings existing in any dimension smaller than the 5th. These metal cubes were all connected by numerous sky walks, and eventually formed an enormous square U shape, if viewed from above. This was Cybercity. At a quick glance, may have appeared to be an ordinary city, but such a statement would be both correct and incorrect. The metal squares were not commercial buildings, but were all part of one enormous being, quite possibly the smartest being to ever exist. This was Profound Idea, the greatest computer in both size and intelligence to ever be. Few knew about Profound Idea, though some people had met his agents, who regularly performed tasks for him outside of the hidden island. The most 'popular' one was Cyberaptor, 3rd Guardian of Cybercity, who had been on several adventures and had battled quite a few people around the Sim Battle Arena. He would always appear without explanation, sticking solely to his missions, which generally tended to be for good... but no one truly knew the intentions of Profound Idea. That is, anyone who had met him in the first place. Cybercity had made a slight connection with the Hunters while testing Cyberaptor's abilities, but for the most part it remained hidden, cloaked behind and Improbability Field that made it impossible to find without an invitation. As it was, this island was both a city and not. The metal exterior served as a home only to the service drones that made repairs to Profound Idea's metal body, and the eight Guardians, but it is what's inside that truly mattered. For inside Profound Idea's vast brain was an entire world, a virtual world, just as real as the physical world - and this was Inner Cybercity. It was the city of data, that existed for the mere purpose of existing. It was Profound Idea's will that he create a world, and he did. Virtual people lived their lives inside Cybercity, not even aware of what they were apart of - much like our world, really. However, due to the way Profound Idea was constructed (and he constructed most of himself), parts of his core needed to be replaced once a year - and he only trusted his eight guardians to perform this task. During the process, which did not last more than a half hour, Profound Idea would become inactive, as well as the Improbability Field. Normally, this was no problem, as no one ever noticed the island in that small amount of time, but this year was different... --- Just at the shore opposite of Cybercity, Cyberaptor appeared from out of the thick trees and activated his jet pack, not suspecting that he was being followed. After a short two minute flight, he landed just at the edge of the island, and immediately noticed a bright flash of green from the huge metal structure ahead - his fellow guardians already seemed to be at work. But before he set out, he became aware of a presence behind him. Cyberaptor quickly turned around, with his gunclaw ready to be used. Cyberaptor: Declare yourself, and what business you have here! Whoever this person was, Cyberaptor was prepared to remove them from the island and wipe their memory, using whatever means possible. (edited by Invader Pie on 09-08-05 07:53 PM) |

| Yes, that's right; my layout does mean that there is a new character here. This is a one-on-one. Normal rules. Anyone may join. --- There was a road that connected two large towns together; a simple dirt road, surrounded by cornfields on either side, and wide enough for traffic on either side. It did not seem out of the ordinary, but people tended to travel along the road while the sun still shone bright, because of an old legend. According to the legend, there was a scarecrow that would come to life in the dead of the night, and attack any passersby it saw. Everyone who came by this farming area knew about the legend, but there were still those who were on a tight schedule, and didn't bother waiting until day over some stupid tale. One night, a figure was traveling alone down Scarecrow Road, unaware of the danger ahead. This person passed by a small bare patch in the cornfield... and a few seconds later, a second figure came of out of the patch, and followed the first. There was only the slightest cracking sound, as a twig-like hand closed around the handle of a blade, that gave indication of the second figure drawing a long scythe above the first one's head! If the first person did not have acute hearing and fast reactions, then he or she would surely be struck dead by the scythe, with their head rolling freely away from their neck! |

| I got 800 sumphin. The pole trick is really cheap, as it's an almost guaranteed hit. If that were not in the game, it would be cool. The first time he caught my cursor, I seriously thought he stole it  . Then I noticed the little cursor picture below the real one. |

| The effects in this comic are real nifty. Nice going. I still find it a bit hard to tell the different panels from each other, though... maybe just because it's a dark level. And Robotnik sounds better. I'm not even sure where 'Eggman' came from. |

| The figure was hit by the fire, and nearly fell completely over - but managed remain standing on one leg, as it flailed about, burning with flames. By now, the figure was in clear sight. It was, indeed, a scarecrow! It had a pumpkin head, with a zig-zaggy mouth and evil eyes, as well as a torn purple shirt over its body, which appeared to be made of nothing but hay, tied together. The hands were long, crooked twigs, one of them grasping the scythe that nearly hit Magikoopa Myster. The scarecrow regained its balance, but did not respond. Still on fire, it approached MM again. Apparantly, fire did not seem to bother it that much - a fact well proven when the scarecrow bent over, and blew a powerful jet of fire back at MM! The scarecrow wasn't much for conversation... it just wanted MM to be dead. |

| OOC: Scarecrow had the scythe the whole time, so you couldn't have thrown it. I'll make a few adjustments. --- When MM tried to grab Scarecrow's scythe, it held it firmly in hand. But, just before it could deliver a good swing, it noticed MM escape to the tree, and so changed its plan of attack. Instead, Scarecrow jumped forward, and blew a jet of fire at the tree, setting the whole thing ablaze! MM would only have a few seconds before a branch inevitable fell off, and burned him. |
