| The spirits reach Schwa and attempt to grab him, though their success at this time didn't seem likely. However, more kept coming out of the portals, and the end of them wasn't near! At the same the first wave reached Schwa, a beam of clear energy shot out of Ghost's spear and latched onto Schwa, tracking his soul (so there wasn't any chance to avoid it). After it settled onto him, rings started traveling down the beam from Schwa to Ghost, each ring stealing some of Schwa's life force and giving it to Ghost! However, this was only in preparation for the next step of Ghost's plan... |

| One of Kyle's discs floated in front of him to block the attack that Stacice sent, but Tuxydon beat it. Kyle: Hey, thanks, dude. Whoah, watch out! He pointed over Tuxydon's shoulder to the incoming Nino. After this, he turned to Stacice, who stuck her dagger into the ground and generated shockwaves around him. Kyle had enough sense to know that these kind of attacks usually demanded getting off of the ground, so he was well prepared to fly high over the attack. Kyle: Seems like this is turning out to be an aerial battle. From 15 feet in the air, Kyle aimed his palm at Stacice and shots three invisible balls of force at her. They would each deal minimal damage, but they were aimed for her head, and if they hit their mark Stacice would likely be flipped head-over-heels and get back up with a MAJOR headache. |

| Kyle stared at the blobish thing that had been so kindly bestowed upon him. Kyle: ...Nah, I think I'll go with my own summon, thanks. He waved his hand, and the blob disappeared with a poof while a wormhole appeared in its stead. The wormhole got larger, and a being stepped through it, allowing the wormhole to close behind it. The figure was a Beta Gravity Summon, a formidable opponent that stood at six feet and was fully covered in metal. Instead of a waist it had an odd purple ball of gravital energy that floated above its legs and below its torso. Also, it had a pair of 'arms' that hovered freely to the side of it, which ended in large axes. Kyle: Now, let's see...one, two opponents. This'll be easy. Kyle waited for Meta to come right to him, and as he nearly made contact, a pair of metal discs flew in front of Kyle and blocked the attack. Kyle controlled these discs with his magic. Kyle: You'll need to try harder than that, yo. Kyle pulled out the katana from his back, and made a quick swing to Meta. This could be easily blocked...however, the real danger was that the two discs had secretly flown behind him, and just as Kyle swung with his katana, they each flew at Meta as well. Each of these would deal medium damage. The Beta Gravity Summon charged at Shyguy, and as it reached him, its axes swung quickly around its torso like a tornado, hoping to catch him in a flurry of heavy damage attacks. |

| The neutral wave destroyed all of the portals with a puff of yellow mist. The first ring that came at Ghost through his drain attack did very little damage to him, as he still was immune to the type of energy, but his immunity promptly ran out after that. For some reason, Ghost continued to clutch his weapon, sustaining the beam. The holy rings hit him repeatedly, each time dealing critical damage instead of healing him, but that seemed to be his intention (edited by CheesePie on 05-14-05 01:56 PM) |

...Probably  .----- Ghost was thrown backward when his soul-sucking beam was cancelled, but he kicked off of a wall and flipped back into his former position. Ghost: Hellfire!!! How did you do that?! He flaring with rage...really, he was burning red with fire. Ghost: No one can counter that!!! It is impossible! ...Let's see you try it again! Ghost prepared his attack again, too blinded by his own rage and determination to notice the Crimson Bubble that circled him dangerously. Ghost's staffspear was nearly surging out of control with white and red energy, and also unbeknownst to Ghost, it was taking negative effects on him. Ghost: I can't let you escape...too valuable... Ghost put the very last of his energy into his Soul Steal once more, making sure this attack was more powerful than the last one. Ghost was a mess as the tip of his spear blinked red; he was constantly phasing in and out of his physical form, and the fire burning on him from the portal was growing ever larger and more erratic. Finally, with the help of all of the evils in the Netherworld, he was able to perform Soul Steal one last time...the dark, yet colorful beam shot out onto Schwa again, even more powerful this time! |

| Kyle parried Meta's powerful blow, and his weapon was knocked away to the ground a few feet to the side of him. He quickly made a backflip to gain distance from Meta, then held his arm out, aimed at his katana, which magically flew back to his hand. Kyle: Nice try! Kyle held his katana to the side of him, and pointed his palm at Meta. Suddenly, a force of gravity that was as strong as someone swinging a pillowcase full of bricks appeared in front of Meta, and made its way into him! |

| Crud...I hit the 'delete' button instead of 'edit'. ----- Kyle created a spherical force field around himself to block the shockwave attack, then dispelled it once the energy rings stopped. He promptly landed, preparing another attack, when he saw the fireball plummeting from the sky. Kyle: What the - ?! Again, he used the force field technique to protect himself from the blast, though his mana was being consumed dramatically from the excessive use. He dispelled it when the explosion ended, only to be caught off guard by the second one. Kyle did not escape this attack. He was surprised that it didn't hurt nearly as badly as he had expected it to. When the explosion ended, he rolled to put out the fire, then assumed his fighting stance. Kyle: Man, they are tough! I need to slow 'em down... Kyle faced Stacice and put his palms together. Seconds later, a spell took place in the immediate area around her, though it would be hard to tell that anything was happening until it already did happen. If Stacice was caught in the spell, she would instantly become twice as heavy as normal, slowing her down drastically, and making attacks take a lot more effort. Still, this could be used to gain an advantage in attack power, if she figured out how. While this happened, Kyle's two discs attempted to violently fly into her, and would constantly double back to her position if she dodged them. Kyle bent over slightly, feeling a bit drained...he fingered a mana potion in his pocket. |

| Ghost felt energy being pulled out of Schwa and into his weapon...he only needed a few more seconds, and he would be finished! With Schwa's power, his great weakness to holy would vanish, and he would become incredibly powerful! The orange beam then hit, dealing the same damage to Ghost as was being dealt to Schwa. The effect it took on Ghost was very bizarre, though; it didn't hurt him at all in his corporeal form, but as he was constantly phasing in and out of that state, it would deal damage on and off, hurting him when he was a spirit. And, as the attack's damage only affected the soul (by taking it), Ghost's soul was being disintegrated, as there was no place for it to be stolen to! Finally, there was a deafening crack, and Ghost vanished with a puff of red smoke! Both the soul-stealing attack and the Crimson Bubble attack stopped, and the red portal that had been floating behind Ghost exploded. Ghost had been defeated, leaving absolutely no clues to his whereabouts now. ----- Typing that makes me feel all exhausted somehow. Nice job, Schwa, you killed my toughest character!  |

| You might notice my lack of activity for the next...long time. My internet connection pooped out at home, so I can only come here through school and such. --- Kyle: Darn, you got it. Kyle held his arms up defensively to lower the damage he took as he allowed Stacice to crash into him. Sure, he could have stopped her by taking away the gravity spell, but he wasn't too keen to giving her a chance to use the Cancel technique again. Also, the removal of the spell would up her strength even more now. It still would last for another few turns. Kyle held his ground when he was struck, but now he had Stacice in a preferable position. The discs flashed to his side, and began spinning around him like an aura at insanely fast speeds, sure to catch Stacice in a flury of powerful, metallic blows, since she was so close. While his discs were at work, he took a gulp of his blue mana potion. |

| The figure of Kyle, dressed in his signature white karate robe and wearing a crimson band set unevenly aronud his head, stepped through the door into the marble arena eagerly. Two strange, floating metal discs followed him in. Kyle: Finally! The Sim Battle Tournament! ...Now where's my opponent? Kyle looked around the area and saw no sign of Legault. Kyle: Bah, well, anything good's worth waiting for...I think. Let's just not hope it's that long of a wait! Kyle's legs floated up off of the ground and went out straight, and his arms crossed behind his head. Kyle hovered comfortably in the air until Legualt arrived. |

| Kyle frowned for a moment, mad at himself for not bothering to make a dramatic entrance like Xzavien. The frown was soon replaced with a smug grin. Kyle (aside): Neat trick. Kyle (aloud): Best of luck? Who needs luck when you have skill? All right then, let's start this shindig. Here I come! Kyle wasted no time. He unsheathed his katana and held it defensively, ready to make a counter attack if need be. Meanwhile, the two floating discs at his side activated. In the blink of an eye, they were at Xzavien's side, repeatedly flinging themselves at him, rebounding to his new position every time they were dodged. The discs would deal medium damage. Kyle: I'm not really a ninja, I'm more of a mage, I guess...my class is an unusual one. But what are you? A wizard? Kyle liked to converse during battle...he thought it seemed cool. |

| Kyle was annoyed at having his potion taken and broken, but with a wave of his hand, he controlled the gravity around the fragments and restored the bottle close to its previous shape, with the liquid inside. This time he was sure to gulp it down before any more tricky moves were pulled. Kyle: Yeah, normally that would have been a smart move, but I can kind of get around that... As the ball of energy Stacice was forming consumed her, Kyle flew backward, still keeping his focus on the ball. He didn't really know what to expect, but he was getting very tired and didn't want to push his luck. The discs returned to Kyle's side, and then four blades sprung from each of the discs, increasing their length to four feet now! The discs whirled around Kyle protectively, mutilating any foe that got in a radius of five feet of him. He hoped that they would protect him from a projectile attack, if that was what Stacice was preparing. He also hoped that the ball didn't continue to grow, as it would surely consume him if it did. As he was protected by his disc barrier, he charged up a spell. |

| Kyle knew that this battle was going to be a true spectacle - two fighters who control force! He had always hoped for a battle like this, but he didn't expect it to happen so soon, or even at all. Being a gravity mage, Kyle's powers were probably just like Xzavien's, with slight variations. As such, some tricks with the force might not affect Kyle as much... Kyle: I was born with these powers, and since then I've educated myself about them. I haven't seen too many people who share my talents...until now! The arena changed around Kyle, and he was glad he didn't have to make up a scene. The heights did not intimidate him. Kyle waited until Xzavien had his weapon right above him, ready to pull out from the leap, until he generated a spherical force field around himself. Xzavien was sure to rebound from contact with the indestructable thing, and Kyle dispelled the force field so he could attack while Xzavien was (hopefully) off balance. He shot out his palm, and from it came an invisible string of gravity that made its way quickly toward Xzavien's torso. Getting hit by it was about the equivalent of getting hit with a bunch of bricks swung in a pillowcase...it would hurt. |

| Sorry for not replying...internet problems + forgetfullness ----- A disc floated in front of Kyle to protect him from the Pyrokenisis. The blast was reflected off of its indestructable surface, but Kyle still felt the heat of the attack in the air around him. He was truly glad it didn't hit him...if there's one kind of attack he hated, it was fire attacks... Kyle: Things are going kind of slow over there, near Shyguy...let's see if I can spark more activity. The discs protectively swirled around Kyle at super-fast speeds while he charged a spell. If anyone came within a radius of five from him, they would be caught in a frenzy of metallic blows. Also, some projectile attacks would likely be deflected by the discs. |

| The energy ball Stacice shot didn't effectively pull Kyle toward it - he had enough powers over gravity to avoid that. The energy ball made contact with Kyle's two discs, which essentially slowed it down, but didn't stop it. Still, the bought time allowed Kyle to cast his spell before getting struck. Kyle (aside): Guess this'll be my last move for this battle... Kyle (aloud): All right, ally person! I need you to make contact with this! He was, of course, talking to Tuxydon. Kyle hoped Tuxydon wouldn't question him as he threw a zero-gravity spell through the air at him. The spell went kind of high, so Tuxydon would probably need to jump to reach it - good news for him, because upon contact, gravity would no longer effect him for a few minutes, allowing him to dodge the earth attack by remaining airborne! Immediately after throwing the spell to Tuxydon, he casted his real power - the most powerful move in his entire arsenal, actually. An enormous amount of gravity appeared in the geographical center of the fight, which in a few seconds morphed into a black hole! Everything would be pulled in to it at an incredible speed (though not light speed - it wasn't a true black hole, just magic, so it wasn't as strong), but Kyle was not effected. Also, if Tuxydon had been hit by Kyle's spell, he wouldn't be pulled either. Kyle was hit by Stacice's energy ball soon after that, and was sent flying across the plain. He landed face down on the ground, nearly defeated, using the very last of his strength to continue the black hole spell and float his discs nearby for safety. |

| Ugh, sorry for the late reply...net problems. --- As Xzavien made his counter, three lizards walked into the stands, one red, one black, and one green. They each chose a seat in the front row so that they could spectate. The smallest one, the red one, spoke to the green one. Spaky: Finally! Here we are, at the Sim Battle Tournament! Who are the fighters here? Speeky: Eh, the roster says two guys named Xzavien and Kyle. Ooh, look, that guy has a lightsaber! The black one shook in his seat. Spiky: It's a red one...doesn't that mean he's a bad guy? Spaky: He probably fights good though! WHOO! Go go! Speeky: Quiet down, you'll annoy them... Back in the arena, Kyle felt the projectile Xzavien shot coming at him, and he dodged it by stepping to side. This motion brought him to the edge of his small platform, and he was slightly thrown off balance, but Kyle acted like he was more off balance than he truly was. His arms pinwheeled through the air above the long fall to the lava below as he pretended to try to regain his footing. Kyle waited until Xzavien came again with his lightsaber to pull himself back up. In all of the faking, though, he actually DID manage to lose his balance! Kyle barely slipped back onto the platform in time to pull out his katana to block Xzavien's lightsaber...but his luck stopped there. His katana was chopped in half, unable to parry pure energy! Kyle stood nervously in front of Xzavien, holding a mere stub of a broken blade. Kyle: Uh...whoops. Heh. He flipped backward to get out of range, landing on a square just next to the one Xzavien was standing on. His discs, however, remained where they were, and each began taking turns to fling themselves at Xzavien! The discs would keep coming at him if he moved, and would rebound to try to hit him again if he dodged them. The discs were trying to keep Xzavien away from Kyle as he charged a spell. |

| Normal rules apply here, it's a one-on-one. --- Alone at the top of Spiral Mountain one night was a rare blue-crested breegull. He had chosen the mask of the night to hide him while he performed his wicked, albeit freaking hilarious task. Under the dim moon, he paced around an odd, square machine, giggling and snickering as he tinkered with gizmos here and there. Blue Breegull: Heheheh...just a few more minutes... The odd machine was set at the top of the small, spiral-pathed mountain for optimal efficiency. The mountain itself was surrounded by a small moat, and past that were fields that stretched a good distance before reaching the canyon walls. Yes, the reception would be good indeed. Blue pounded on a button, which would set the machine in motion. Blue: Yes...it works! Now, everyone around the world will be utterly confused and scared as they hear a belching sound emminate through this machine, amplified 1,000,000,000 times!!! Blue chuckled evily again, overcome by the pure genious of his insane plan. Upon hearing the charge-up sound, he stuck his wings against his ears for protection against the loud sound, though it would hardly help. The machine suddenly exploded, blasting Blue back against the far canyon wall. He emerged from the blackened landscape, outraged that his machine didn't work as planned. Blue: WHA?! What's the meaning of this!? I worked days with the blasted contraption to check for flaws...must've been a jam in the jiggy-warpen...uh-oh. For the machine to play a sound around the entire world, it first had to open numerous portals for the belch to sound through. Since that part of the machine glitched, a portal could have opened anywhere, warping anyone into the area...and they could be quite angry at being caught in the explosion... Blue Breegull nervously scanned the area, hoping no unfortunate soul was pulled through in the glitch... (edited by CheesePie on 06-03-05 04:27 AM) |

| The Lizard Bros. were less than pleased at being lifted and tossed into the arena. Speeky: You know, we aren't supposed to interact the the combatants...but I figured that meant that they couldn't interact with us! Kyle didn't even see the three fly by him, narrowly missing, as he pulled out of his backflip and landed on the platform. Spaky, Spiky, and Speeky landed safely in the seats on the opposite side of the arena, and continued to spectate the match. They hardly seemed to care about what just happened to them. Kyle had finished his spell by the time Xzavien used the lightning to cast them into the lava...only what Xzavien didn't know was that nothing could destroy the powerful gravity magic that kept them assembled. Kyle secretly floated them to the edges of his platform, out of sight of Xzavien, but ready for use. As Xzavien reached the peak of his jump above Kyle and flipped the switch on his lightsaber, Kyle released the spell. The gravity around Xzavien increased, and if he was caught in the magical field, his weight would be increased twofold! It would last for several minutes, too. This would make any movement a real pain, especially jumping, giving him a real disadvantage in this kind of an arena. Kyle stepped off of the platform and continued floating in the air as Xzavien came down, wisely because if the spell did work, downward attacks of his would have more power. Kyle: How do you like that spell? I'd suggest you take things easy for the next few minutes, increased gravity can really wear you down! Kyle, still in the air, brought both of his arms out suddenly, aimed at Xzavien. The hidden discs flew out from their hiding spot and zoomed at Xzavien with incredible strength! | OOC, the discs are indestructable unless the magic seal on each of them is broken. And trust me, you don't want that to happen. --- When the spell Kyle created around Xzavien was deflected and began its path toward him, it caught Kyle straight in the chest. Though the spell was weakened, it still had its effect, and Kyle plummeted from the air he was floating down the lava below! Kyle: Shizah! What's the counter to this crazy spell?! He panicked a bit, but managed to dispell the curse a few feet from contact with the lava with a special motion of his arms, and flew to a safer position higher up. Kyle returned to see Xzavien successfully block each disc and send them away. Again, Kyle was struck, this time by Xzavien's lightsaber. As some fortunate coincidence for the mage, he managed to avoid the attack enough to merely get singed, not seriously wounded. Still, the attack dealt some good damage to him. Kyle: Gah! That thing hurts, man! He seemed to be getting overwhelmed, and brought his attack about with less speed than he would have liked. The discs floated to his sides, and suddenly sprouted blades from the middle, increasing their length to four feet! Still under Kyle's control, these things were a hundred times deadlier than they were without the blades. Kyle: Watch this, I've been practicing it for weeks. You'll be finished in two moves! Suddenly, a blue fireball rocketed from some unseen point in the arena, and hit Kyle right in the back of the head! He spun forward in mid air, and the discs flew around wildly. Kyle was stunned and wide open for the time, not even sure what it was that hit him. Spiky: Whoah, what was that thing? Some kind of ice-ball? Speeky: Huh, what? I didn't see anything... |
