Hi, everybody. I've been looking around this place for a few days on my bro's account (he's TheMageous), but please don't ban me, cuz even though we have the same IP and all, I'm not him. So, I'll be a productive and active poster, and help contribute to this place as much as I can.

If you need anything, just PM me.

How about Bowser's Castle? I love that course. Part of what makes it fun is the difficulty and the amount of things that can go wrong on that course. I mean, who doesn't like to have giant fireballs spewed out at them? Plus, I like the music too.

How about the #1 team in the country? The University of Southern Cal?

They laid a beatdown on Notre Dame yesterday. I was seriously worried when they went down 10-3, but then they came back, thanks to (hopefully) this year's Heisman winner, Matt Leinart!

Someone in one of my classes is an Oklahoma fan...if you ask me, that's as bad as being a Miami fan. I HATE Oklahoma, I HATE Texas, and I HATE Miami.

Well, I got an A on Afronova for the first time ever...but I still can't get an A on Tsugaru...I just miss about 10 or 11 on every run and it screws me over...

And also, why do DDR on a keyboard? That's so...lazy...but whatev.

Has anyone noticed that the arcade version of DDR Extreme basically sodomizes the PS2 version? You should have seen my face when I found out that Bag wasn't in the PS2 version. Gah, I want to play that song so bad!

It's an option, number one, and number two it's not lazy it's an addition to the whole entire experience. Hell, I know I wouldn't be as good on feet had I not got rhythms down by playing it on the keyboard first.

So, nice close-minded comment there.

Well, it's probably just me. I'd just much rather prefer to practice the song on a pad, that's all. Anyway, I played again today. I got a C on Maxx Unlimited, a B on Burning Heat (3 Option Mix), and....that's about all I worked on today, lol. Well, I tried to get a B on So Deep (Perfect Sphere Remix), but there's something messed up with my Ignition whenever I try that song...I usually miss at least 35 arrows. I'm happiest about Maxx tho, because I f-ing hate that song, and I managed to beat it 3 times in a span of two hours. Yay!

Is there a reason why no one's mentioned Final Fantasy XII? I thought it was supposed to come out in summer. I'm waiting so bad for this game, cuz I loved both FFTs.

2. Super Smash Bros Melee
16. FFT
10. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
8. Super Mario Kart
12. Super Mario Bros
6. Final Fantasy 6
14. Tetris Attack
4. Chrono Trigger

Super Mario Kart is not a "decent" racing game. It basically revolutionized the racing genre - that and Gran Turismo. I've seen a lot more Mario Kart knock-offs than Starcraft knock-offs.

Yeah, I liked DKC2 the best as well. I only recently managed to get all the DK coins (just out of pure luck and exploration), and it's also the darkest of the DKC games.

As we all know, a darker game is often a cooler game.

Your records KILL mine, DD. Kill them to the point of death! My best is like a B on Max 300 or an A on So Deep (Heavy).

BTW, Hiryuu, might I suggest a mix of Ecstacy, Tsugaru, or Jam & Marmalade? A change of pace from Paranoia, HV and Ranma mixes would be cool. Preferrably, an extended mix of the last one, though...or maybe Spin the Disc.

I fear for the safety of Soul Calibur 3 now...or any Namco game from this point on. Bandai hasn't shown much consistency in the ability to make good games. Seriously, the .hack series was basically hit or miss (many opinions will vary on that), but I haven't known of any other Bandai games that were very good.

What's more, I'd like to know how Namco would be willing to be bought out by Bandai. I thought that Namco was the type of company that would be willing to duke it out in a fight (hence their trademark for fighting games).

I have to think that the amount of expectations placed on this movie after all the trailers and stuff will result in a bit of a letdown. But other than that, yeah, that second choice in the poll really sums it up. How can it go wrong with Vader in it? I mean, this is the only Star Wars movie that I have really just looked at a trailer and said "I HAVE TO SEE THIS". Quite honestly, I didn't even see Return of the Jedi until a couple of years ago...

I'm really looking forward to all of these battle scenes, and all of the holes in the series finally being patched up.

Well, I think I have something that trumps all of you guys.

I imagined DDR two years before it even existed, and I had no previous knowledge of the music genres it encompassed or the idea that music and games could be fused in that way.

I have two questions that need to be answered in this thread.

1. Can someone elaborate to me on what Terranigma is and how it could be better than OoT (or, for that matter, how some of you haven't played OoT)?

2. Can we start another thread for the discussion of these games? I'd really like to talk about them so we can elaborate more on WHY we voted for these particular games.

Hey, at least that's better than doing the Nazi salute in front of German foreign exchange students. That happened at track & field practice for about a month. God, I have never been more embarrassed than that. It just goes to show that some people don't have any common sense at all.

I would like to start off by asking why the people who have voted against OoT or abstained in that vote chose to do so. Quite honestly, I was surprised to see that it was only #10 on the initial rankings. It's probably one of the two best Zelda games in the opinions of most (LttP, naturally, being the other). And I still don't know what Terranigma is about...I've never even heard of the game...

Also, I was upset by Super Mario Kart being called a "decent" racer. As I stated before, it almost revolutionized the racing genre (see 1up.com's Essential 50 - Super Mario Kart is on there). Now, I know it's Starcraft, and I know some people go ape over it, but how many sequels have been released for Starcraft, with equaled success every time? At last I checked, Ghost was still being made. The other statement is definitely true for Mario Kart.

And I think I speak for all of the DDR-playing members of Acmlm's board when I say that I'm disappointed that DDR was shot down. Now, I assume that a lot of people voted for MMX2 simply because they've never played DDR or played it once and were horrible at it. But the people who have played DDR can tell others that it's a very engrossing game once they get good at it.

That's just my take on it...

My parents introduced me to games when I was about two or three years old. They'd sit me down and play Super Mario Bros with me. Of course, being that age, I stank, but whenever my aunts and uncles would come over, I'd want to play Mario Bros with at least one of them.

And now, the funny thing is, they basically want me to stop playing as much as I am (which is only about 6-8 hours a week). They created the threat, and now they can't contain it.

Hey, you guys heard about the GamePro leaks of info about DDR Extreme 2 and Ultramix 3, right? I'd give you the links, but they've been taken down. Some questions I'd like to offer:

1. What songs do you expect to be in there?
2. Which will be more likely to be in the game: MAX. (period) or PSM?
3. Do you think Konami will screw this up as badly as they did with Extreme 1?
