| I've no problem with women leaders, assuming that they stand as good and moral leaders. Thus far we have seen weak leaders of first world nations like Kim Campbell, or we see immoral monsters like Indira Gandhi. The same goes for men, the simple thing is, that voters are going to stick with the "traditional" candidate. I hate the idea of the ANWAR drilling. You know why? Its not that I'm a tree hugging hippy, but it is one of the last pristine water sources on the planet. If America taps that oil, the 11 billion barrels won't really matter, because it will have destroyed one of the rarest environs on the planet. The technology we have cannot regulate the seismic activity, and once an oil well is untapped, and a small shift occurs the pressure difference can cause a sinkhole or a potential ground swell of oil. My geography teacher had explained this indepth as he is an ardent supporter of not drilling in Alaska, but instead working more offshore sites. |

I love me the thrash metal, listening to Vukodlak or Gehennah is totally rockin'. Then there are all of those European black metal bands, and the occasional Canadian/American one. Chaotic War Metal like Conqueror or Black Witchery has to be way up there, Canada is the pioneer in Chaotic War Metal. And it totally owns. Right now I'm getting more and more into rap. In fact, I listened to NWA straight for 6 hours playing Star Craft one night. I'm really starting to get into it. For me, I'm about music that just nails how I think. Or makes me laugh. The first category generally encompasses a lot of punk. The second category encompasses all of that racist stuff that I collect on my hard drive for laughtaculity. You can't say you hate it until you sit back when you're stoned and just laugh your ass off to "White Power" by Skrewdriver or some Johnny Rebel.

Yasser Arafat is one of my heroes. Although lately he degraded into nothing more than a figure head, I dispise the notion he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for nothing other than to appease the Palestinian Liberation Organization. Israel's pig-headed ideals are what kept the peace talks from coming, the death of Rabeen and the rise of Sharon are what have caused problems. That bastard Sharon is only now starting to think of the consequences of Zionist oppression of the Palestinians. I feel very strongly about Arafat and see him on par with many of the liberators of men, he stands there with George Washington in my eyes (yes, I respect the American revolution). Arafat fought to right the injustice of the creation of Israel. The UN and the comittees involved thought too poorly of the Muslims and the culture of the Muslims when assigning the land. They tore too heavily in that area and of course mistrust arose. Not to say that Israel shouldn't exist, but it should've been better planned. The Zionist movement had already been on the forefront of purchasing vast stretches of land around the world to begin Jewish settlements, it is a pity that no one thought of speaking to the Muslim world to resolve the deep bred hatred that the sons of Abraham seem to feel towards each other. |

I'm only up to the first Covenant level on Legendary (which is nut bustingly hard)...And I have to say that I love the story. In the first Halo you only saw the Covenant as monsters killing without reason. In this, you understand that they are real creatures, with society. They are more than just blood thirsty demons. The role is reversed. It is an excellent tale of redemption, duty and faith. So far anyways. |
