| It is a different culture. My family is like a farmer family. It is bred into us to be rough. I think that the Scandinavian culture is different because causing rifts in that sort of environment is a little more risky...I guess... I suppose that my family is rougher for reasons unknown. We've always been this way. My dad was hit by his dad, who was hit by his dad, etc. And my grandfather was a fairly successful man, successfully raising three productive children. His father managed to pull our family out of a country that was plunged into the despotic cruelty of the Soviet Union through having a well disciplined family. Again, I think this is a throw back of the Cossack culture in which my family is steeped. Now, I'm not for the belt (which I got when I was a child)...But really, spankings and a good thwaking every now and then sets them straight. Good and straight. |

| First off, Fyxe. You know nothing of the faith. I wish that people would be a little more studious of things. Dogmatically, those who do not follow God are not sent to Hellfire in the malebolges or the pits. No, those who are virtuous are sent to Limbo or Purgatory, in which they either live in bliss but sadness or repent their sins to achieve the heights of the Mountain to reach the ultimate happiness of sitting next to the Christ and God. Also, DahrkDaiz, the Muslims were tolerant to very few religions. They killed Hindus, Buddhists and other pagans. The only faiths that they allowed were monotheistic: Zoroastrianism, Judeaism and Christianity. Knuck, Christians that are baptized are supposed to follow the Laws of God and the words of the Christ. All true Christians are baptized. It is much like the Muslim Shahada. | geogree, you're absolutely right. But let us not discount the glaring contradictions of only the Bible. The Buddhist texts state that no man be above another, yet those in the presense of the Dalai Lama are asked to not stand full height. As no man should stand taller than Buddha. Then there are the vast contradictions of the Quaran (which, are mostly interprative errs), the Torah scrolls of Judaic laws, the endless annoyances of Shinto-Zen beliefs, and finally the horrid mishap that is modern Paganism. | |||

| I go to the public one because we have a very bizzare assortment of older books in the stacks. In fact, I've found many handwritten journals that are catalogued and are written all f'd up like. Legend has it (the library has had them in the catalogue since the 50s) that they are from the Nickles family. Sort of a local monster-family. Zero-One: Awesome stepfile, I especially liked how it went from chaotic, to heavily structured and patterned to mildly chaotic at the end. The song was also catchy. It could stand to be a little more challenging  Super Electric: BEST SONG. EVAR. It is totally sweet to the maxxxxxxxx...The stepfile was tough, and I really liked it. The closeness of the steps at that speed took some getting used to, but it was definetely well done. |

| Darkslaya, those statistic already exist in probably the best RPG ever. Star Wars: KOTOR Although spell creation sounds kind of interesting, I think that it should be spell CUSTOMIZATION. Sacrifice some damage on a water spell, but now it has a chance to do poison infliction or another sort of status. But the best thing would be for you to be able to design the effects, so that you could make your wizard or whatever, have really evil looking spells, should you choose to play that way. |

| My room is almost that bad, but I have an excuse! My current bedroom served three purposes before falling to me. First, it used to be the heating room of the house. There was once a time when the only heating that my family had was a woodburning stove. Yup, we were rustic sub-urbanites. It then fell to the hands of my beloved grandparents, first the Slutes, then my grandma Simmons. The Slutes needed to stay with us while my grandma looked for new work after her husband retired. After my grandpa died, there were big problems, so my grandma Simmons stayed with us. Then the room became a storage room, this is when I started moving in. There were three places I could sleep, a rotting Queensize bed, a broken futon, or on a stack of boxes. Believe it or not, I alternated between the three with minor difficulty. Currently I have been pumping many funds into the bedroom to make it more liveable as the time will allow. I have a TV from the late 70s with my X-Box attached to it on one end of the room, beside my bed. On the other half (where the dogs stay) rests my computer and library. |
