Yeah, the Central Americans are looking to be the prime candidates, with Europeans then Africans. I don't think we'll see any of the African Cardinals/Bishops being made the head of the Vatican. Frankly, I'd rather it stay that way. I fear their hyper-conservativism and if the one that services Congo were to be made Pope, I'd have to leave the Church. I really, really fear their stances on a LOT of subjects. There are some great Papal candidates from Central America, especially Cuba. I know that that Cardinal is extremely liberal in dealing with other religions and economics. As for homosexuality and birth control and drug use...Far, FAR better than John Paul II. Although chances are we will never have a John Paul I or a John XXIII again.

Yes, game wars are.

WHEN THEY ARE THE SAME FUCKING GENRE OR SERIES!

Example of what I know will occur:

"OMG FF IS TOTTALLY NOT LIKE THE SP:LNTER CELL! THEY ARE BOTH CRAPPY RTSES AND FPSES, BUT FF IS TOTALLY THE BETTER STEALTH ACTION GAME! LOLOLOL"

Be quiet now and talk about something relevant to Soul Calibur III, and deal with it being on PS2. Maybe, if you're so enthralled with the series...Buy a PS2.

Or we could just complain until they start releasing it on the other consoles. It's worked in the past, I must say.

Like?

Anyways, the game's shininess would've been better realized if Namco would've held off until next-gen...Or wait, is that a rumbling I just heard at MS...Wait...What is this? Them and Namco are developing a next-gen fighter...featuring popular characters...Thank you, my informant.

Capcom had a previous release statement with Sony stating that exclusivity of any given title was neigh impossible.

edit:: so I ask, like?

All I know is, Nintendo had exclusive rights to any RE game critical to the storyline. People complained, and its going to be on PS2 later this year or next.

Um, no, they had an exclusivity contract to the RE license for a development cycle period. After that point, Capcom is free to sell RE to whoever. Think of it as a business loophole. And as for people complaining, their names were Sony executives and business men at Capcom. Not *namless angry internet nerd 1 and 2*

Welllllllll...No it doesn't Kario. The AIDS virus never passes through condoms. The HIV virus does. And that is an extremely rare occurance. And I can tell you oodles about the man.

As for this, I disagreed with the Pope on a lot of issues. Such as the forceable centralization of power back to Rome. The process of basically undermining the Conclave was nasty and the ways he did things were a little down and dirty, but given the waning influence of the Church after the rapid deaths, and his attempted assassinations, it was a necessary thing.

But the one thing that made him fall in my eyes was his dismissal and attempt to ruin Bishop Oscar Romero.

As for the GOOD things he did, which are many. Actually denouncing Hitler was a good move, I believe that Hitler became an official excommunicate during John XXIII or during the final Pius. I also liked his hardline stance against Western greed and against Eastern Bloc Communism. His movements against the death penalty, his movements to stop poverty (which I'm sad to say have failed) and his beatification of many people. He's done lots of other good things, like reconcile the Church with Islam, and the Orthodox branch of Christianity. He even made moves to make amends to the Anglican Church. He was a peacemaker and good socialist with good Christian ideas.

As for you Furu. WRONG. There have been nearly 100 Popes that aren't Italian. There are something like 202 Italian Popes though. He was the first Slavic Pope, though. Which is one of the reasons why I loved his Pontificate.

Rest in peace Karol.

On the topic of succession, we're not going to have a so conservative Pope again for a good time. The next Pope is going to model himself after my beloved John XXIII or Paul VI. A lot of talk is fingering towards the Honduran. My personal want is for the Belgian or the Cuban.

edit:: meet the likely next popables.

The average length of a rule for a Pope is only about 5 years. This is the third longest reigning pope in history.

As for the black thing, they don't "search" for popes. They elect them through the College of Cardinals.

Oh, THAT. Well, it is after the fall of the true Pope after the death of the last Pope where the herald of the Anti-Christ trumpets to the Vatican. But let's not digress and discuss bullplop.

I skipped last period to see this movie. And it was BRILLIANT.

Letting Frank Millar take the reigns was a stroke of brilliant on Rodriguez and Tarantino's part, and not standing to that fact, it followed the comic book chronology to a tee and was absolutely amazing.

The last BIG end of the world scare was way back in 1789, where they believed that the rise of Revolution in France was signalling the end of the Reign of God on Earth. But we all know that the world didn't end for anyone but the aristocrat oppressors.

The Anti-Christs are supposedly either Kubla Khan, Mohammed, Augustus Caesar, Emperor Nero, Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Lenin, Karl Marx or an endless menagerie that millenarists have cooked up.

Colleen: "Whoever enters the Conclave thinking to be Pope leaves knowing he is a Cardinal"

Although Oulette and Turcotte are getting some pretty big support in Europe...Turcotte is seen as a fairly large dark horse, whereas Oulette is seen as a very viable successor. Really, everyone is just as confused as the next person when it comes to Vatican succession and papbility.

Sweden, Norway and other Northern nations were primarily mercenary nations until modern times. They were used as personal armies for the most part. But to say that you never had slavery is untrue. The Vikings excelled at taking slaves and their economy was based around that

Which I thought was odd. Dont get me wrong he was a very great guy and did great things. But looking at himself as the "head" is well selfish really. I look at all preachers the same. I look at them as great people who have influences on the nation/world.

I'm sorry, but the doctrine between "Christian" and "Catholic" are very different. In the Catholic Church there is a set hierarchy that is top down. The Pope is the effective leader. And him being the Vicar of the Roman Church, the Archbishop of Rome, the Pontifex Maximus and other such titles is hardly selfish. Also, since he was democratically elected from the Cardinals. By your logic, world leaders are selfish if they see themselves as the democratically elected head of their nation.

I've known many Japanese-Chinese-Korean Canadians who were detained during WW2 and read rather strongly on that subject. And I feel terrible that other whites like me caused that debacle. That is why Grave of the Fireflies made me just ache on the inside.
