I'd like to live in any sort of idealized middle ages fantasy. You know the ones where the violence always happens in far away lands, and only occassionally does a village lad leave to go and fight. The kingdom never interferes with the business of the village. Everyone just lives together in the shadow of a ruined castle and a babbling brook. And it doesn't even have to be in Britain. Anywhere really. |

He is in high school, he is older than you are. "I don't see why states, and towns don't step up and do anything about it. Do parents really want fifth graders to be taught how to have sex? That homo-sexuality is normal? Probably not, but most figure schools should take that problem off of their hands. School's are barely even schools anymore. " ONOES NOT EQUALITY. SOON THE JEWS WILL HAVE IT! This is in a high school. Where they are not being taught how to have sex, but are being taught safe-sex practises, and various ways of staying healthy if they CHOOSE to have sexual relations. And they are being taught that the LBGT community is not so different from everyone else. In fact, other than what goes on in the bedroom, I'm going to say that 99% of that community could walk around the streets on any summer day, and you'd never see anything different about them. Nope, schools are doing what school are supposed to do, as you so put it. Teach the facts, not a belief system.

 I don't normally drop the s-bomb. But you are really, really stupid. This is more than just corporate price gouging. That has already been dealt with. The world oil stores have reached peak oil production. Meaning that they have passed the point where they can be as productive as they used to be. And we've tapped more or less, every single known large oil store on the planet (plus one more with ANWAR). The oil prices went up prior to the war in Iraq, and are fluctuating due to OPEC nations having to admit that their production limits have been met and that they will soon have to continue to slow production of oil further. The more they cut down on barrels a day, the higher the price goes. Supply and demand. Our supply is shrinking, and the demand is growing. With nations like China and India in hyper-growth spurts right now...  The energy crisis is being ushered in.

Because parents aren't responsible all of the time. Because parents aren't totally educated on how to protect themselves from STDs, nor the interactions of the gay community (part of sex-ed is tolerance, now). Parents don't have to deal, or know, about the current problems facing kids. Teachers on the other hand do know. They are constantly interacting with kids. It is best that parents tell the child how to conduct his/herself in sexual decorum (mine taught me to do what I want. I want to remain a virgin until marriage), and have the child educated on the hard facts at school. |
