Not only do deleted posts totally count, but you get another strike against you because deleting posts makes topics harder to read.

Pretty good, pretty good. I like the area at the beginning, because it's just... there. People should make more areas like that. Areas that are just... there. The levels are all pretty good, with lots of different graphics that all fit and lots and lots of levels to play on. Really, though, "I don't want to hear about any more bugs" is a terrible attitude. Ugh. I hate that. When I was younger I sometimes forgot to pronounce the beginning of "Pterodactyl". It's a curse, I tell you, a curse...

I have an ASM request for me, but I doubt I can answer it... I just can't figure out how to change blocks in Map16 via blocktool code. I can't. Somebody's gotta help me out. I just want a block to disappear. I can totally handle everything else. (Probably.) How do I change a block to 25? Not any random block, not temporarily just for that one collision, but permanently, graphics and all, when it is hit by a shell? |

I tried Sensitive Block code. The problem is that if Mario isn't touching the block, it screws up. At least, I think that's the problem, because a Koopa touched the block that was supposed to smash and the block Mario was standing on glitched up. I can't figure out reloc addresses, anyway. And HH, your scrolling code block really blows. In my browser it has a height of a single text line. Fix it. |

Yeah, the fact that you can't just click on whatever link and get here is really the only thing that makes it cool. You had to go to the trouble of dropping down a menu. Woo.

This isn't fair. I shouldn't be here. Keikonium shouldn't be here. Sukasa/Darkflight/whatever shouldn't be here. And for the love of ROM, Super_Mario_World_Freak shouldn't be here. Somebody has to make this... truly secret... somehow. The more mysterious LT becomes, the more people will want to post here. And the more secret LT becomes, the fewer idiots will be able to make it here. I overheard that it was back, so I was expecting it to be harder to find. But no. It's still in the same freaking place. It can't stay here. If Super_Mario_World_Freak can get here, anyone can get here. And it's not the cool people who will come. LT's already been comprimised. When people decide to post here again, you can bet that most of them will be idiots. |

Yeah, maybe Old Lost Threads should remain. But there should be a New Lost Threads. In fact, there might already be one. Why else would they relabel this "Old Lost Threads"? And how come it's so slow going here? Also, I find your signature insulting. By far the worst comeback is "How appropriate. You fight like a cow!" Just ask Guybrush Threepwood. |

Um... zero? That's all I ever set it to. Sprite interaction to 0 and all other interactions to -1. If you mean what the block was set to act like in LM, I set it to 130. Then a koopa hit the block, activated the JSL, and a block below Mario turned into a note block that popped out a star. I Alt-F4'd it right there; I hate glitches. |

Blah. Nintendo didn't need map16++ for their SMW. But if I need Map16++ to do this, I'll use it. I just don't like adding extra stuff to my rom that I can't control. Google couldn't help me find the download, so I think I'm going to need you to upload that file... unless somebody around here knows how to change Map16 via custom block code. |

People won't make smart-ass remarks when you stop asking dumb-ass questions. Read the help file next time.

Eeh.. I haven't played that level of DKC, but this is a palette fade we're talking about, right? You could fade a few colors using the custom palette animations in LM, but that would only do a few colors before causing slowdown and/or running out of tiles. If you could manage to find the fadeout code that runs at the end of a level, and if it doesn't screw with your stats, you might be able to use that. If you wanted the level to automatically fade out or in when you touched a custom block, that shouldn't be too hard... BMF found the read/write palette registers a while back. |

Actually, that sounds eye-blisteringly stupid. I thought we were talking "Stop and Go" station or something moderately cool like that. Which is just as well, because even if Blackout Basement would be a brilliant addition to any hack I'd probably slack off and not make the hack. I mean, blacking out every 2 seconds? Seizure inducing. Find a better effect. |

Uh... this is about palette changing. You can't put a shirt or shades on Mario just by changing his palette. You can change the color of his shirt, but you can't put a new one on.

Jeebus. It's not because it's hard, or because it doesn't "suit" Mario games, it's because it's stupid. Flashing black screens on and off aren't cool. And if you must have it, I suggest trying out the brightness values. An invisible layer 2 blinking of black tiles on and off is even stupider than wanting this effect in SMW in the first place. So that's where you stand now. Either wisen up and go for a different effect, try the brightness value in RAM (check the memory map), or make a routine that fades all the palettes to black. |

Bullshit. Buttons can be and should be the only requirement. The trick is hiding them with a bunch of other buttons. |
