| if you want easy functions, that have to do with the GBA, get one of the mentioned, HAM, or DevKitArm, they have headers for stuff, and HAM is better for that, since most functions are already there, like displaying an image, writing text, all that. someone also made a 3rd party library with titlescreen functions, and some other interesting ones, so thats probably worth checking out more(http://ngine.de) its like a 40-50MB download. | |||

| yep, thats what it is, its stupid if you ask me. not necessarily true though with the if D partition gets messed, it lets me make a recovery CD's/DVD's so that I can copy everything off the D drive just incase something happens, although, I havent done it yet, and really if something happened, I have ubuntu cd's so I could get on the ubuntu one, and see what compaq would say, maybe then they would send me one, if not there are other ways to get a CD, since I have my windows CD key on the side of the pc, I just need to get a CD. | |||

| well, basically, i think it memorizes the song, and the place in the song, so that way it continues play from where it was before you memorized it, and did something else...I think anyway, but I havent used those functions so yeah. | |||

Well, basically with all the super smash bro remake stuff lately, i figured, what the hell, may as well do something similar, but, ive been using game maker quite a bit now, on and off with rmxp..right now I think ill pause Evil Force, and do something in game maker, what I thought of was this, super smash bro's type game, with not just nintendo characters, I was thinking Sega, nintendo, etc, as long as they are 2D...example being Megaman, zero, bass, bomberman, etc, but theres only one problem, a name, and a character list...so basically what I want from you guys are, name suggestions, and some character suggestions, I can do the rest  also, Ive been messing around with a net dll for game maker, and I think I would be able to make some kind of online system, not say mmog but maybe online versus, with up to 4 people, this way, no server is needed, and it still has online play. edit again:also, if anyone wants to help, when suggesting a character, include a sprite sheet. and also, ill need level requests, if you request a level try to include a screenshot of it, 2 seperate ones, the bg, and the foreground ..thanks. edit: current characters: Mario, Zero, Goemon,sasuke, Gotenks, donkey kong, diddy, and ackman (edited by Dcahrakos on 07-17-05 06:50 PM) (edited by Dcahrakos on 07-17-05 09:17 PM) (edited by Dcahrakos on 07-17-05 09:32 PM) |

| im not sure, since AI will be really hard to make, I would think...I can maybe make a single player type platformer like ssbm, but it wont be just battling, or atleast not at first, but ill work on it, so hopefully there will be heres just zero in a test level, he can walk, and jump so far. | yes, very much impossible...for that you would need to make it specifically for the gba, using a gba compiler and C, or you can always do it all in asm, but I doubt you would want to....and besides there are no click together game makers for gba right now...only programming. | |||

| Just saw this on the news, scotty from the original star trek has died...he had alzheimers disease, and apparently he died this morning.. really too bad, he was one of the best star trek characters. edit: link: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/07/20/obit.doohan.ap/index.html and the cause of death was pneumonia with alzheimers.
