Ack. I always forget which Guerrero it was. And I was sure I saw Brock sign with a CFL team, I heard the New Japan rumours but...I always thought maybe his first choice would be WWE, New Japan would be good though. Hm, maybe I got confused with the whole Minnesota Vikings thing.

In Britain we have the product labelled as EMLL. Whats the difference between CMLL and EMLL? Ive heard of both but thought they were rival companies.

Well If you want British funny, you should try Chris Morris's Brass Eye and The Day Today. The Day Today is a brilliant satirical comedy based around like a news programme but its so like a news programme in the way it takes the piss out of the nuances of it its sidesplitting. Another I like is "I'm Alan Partridge" by Steve Coogan. A lot of people dont really like him anymore, but his earlier characters- Paul and Paulette, and all the other characters from Coogans Run- are brilliant. You should also try Not Only But Also, Peter Cook was a master at comedy.

And don't forget Vic and Bob. OK, so sometimes they can be a little stale and predictable, but tell me you don't laugh when Vic plays the keyboard one-handed with a Hitler moustache and Bob stands on the spot moving his arms like a sprinter.

And I think I am probably the only person in Britain that doesn't like Little Britain. Same goes for Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas is much better than him. And can anyone remember Spaced? Not a comedy through-and-through but great all-the-same.

And then theres Harry Hill. His TV Burp is hit-and-miss but his earlier stand-up and completely weird shows involving badgers are great:

"My old mum told me that life is like a game of Monopoly... yes, you start at Go!, pass Old Kent Road, buy a property, go to jail, get a loan from the bank... and I said to her "Oh thats rubbish"...

"Two weeks later I won second prize in a beauty contest".

And he always points out the most obscure things. I think TV Burp, for all its chavness, should be immortalised for pointing out a scene in Holby City where a patient actually turns into a dog and no-one is the wiser.

I didn't like Harry Enfield, though. Too basic for my liking.

Ah, Channel 4 "comedys"? actually they're not bad, Shameless is good but Teachers and Green Wing just don't do it for me. Im not into those sorts of comedys, I prefer my stand-up standing.

Billy Connelly's great. He definately went off the boil with those annoying Lotto adverts but damn is he funny! I only think that he spends too much time being 'serious' nowadays, like that episode of his recent New Zealand tour where he talks about a local man who died there and he visits their grave. Billy, if you're reading this, we watch you for your humour, not your anecdotes or acting ability (he's godawful as an actor, but even so its in a funny way).

Anyone here think Jimmy Carr has become too mainstream? He's everywhere now doing stupid quizes and "100 greatest"... stuff, he was much better as a simple comedian. And doesn't everyone love Rob Brydon?

Hey hey hey, Lenina! Slow down there! Don't generalise us Brits that way, to say we don't understand rap is silly!

Britain may be a primarily white nation but there are millions of black people who live here as well, here in London we pretty much revolutionised the grime and garage scenes. Ever heard of Dizzee Rascal? He's a Mercury prize-winning grime artist whose garage-influenced rap is extremely original and he is very big here in Britain, if you go to any secondary school in London you'll see all numbers of kids listening to Dre, Kanye West, 2pac, Ludacris et al as well as our own artists like Rascal and Lady Sovereign.

What radio station do you listen to? Listen to KISS or any other urban-based stations and you'll hear tonnes of urban music, much more so than guitar based or techno based bands. Maybe its because you're in Fife, instead of England, that you don't hear rap often. After all, why would Scotland need rap when they have Franz Ferdinand getting the airwaves?

Seriously, we definately understand rap and the r'n'b culture, so much so that we made garage and grime our own. Listen to Jamelia, listen to Oxide & Neutrino, and you'll understand that Britain does understand what you say is a black phenomenon.

Yeah, the radio stuff gets unnecessary. But the album's good.

Tool- Jerk-Off (Live)

Love this song. Its got lyrics I absolutely love, and a nice raw sound.

"Someone told me once that there's a right and wrong
Punishment was chose for those who dared to cross a line
But now it must now be true
To jerk off just like you

And maybe it
Takes Longer
I should blame God
And shoot you myself".

I might do this. When working on my old hack I was terrible at gfx, overworld, rips, etc. etc. and got fed up. My designs were good (at least I thought they were), though, so this might appeal to me. Ill have to redownload a ROM and LM and stuff because I got rid of it on my old computer, and Ill have to find time inbetween GCSEs and F-Zero competition, but otherwise I could try.

I can't say Ive experienced fully the day-to-day onslaught of work, school, work, school, little time to relax, etc. etc... but I have experienced the pains of drink, and it is vital you don't get into it. Its good that you don't have any alcohol, since to keep on drinking and drinking is borderline alcoholism and that is hole you do not want to get into. I understand you want something to escape with and to let your frustrations slide but alcohol is definately not the best of choices. I am sure someone here with more...experience of these matters can help but just don't drink, it does so much more long-term damage than short-term good.

Not sure on longest and shortest ive played, but the most hours ive spent have been on F-Zero X and F-Zero MV. F-Zero X ive spent maybe 3000 hours on, F-Zero MV ive spent maybe 800 hours on. I usually only play MV for time trials though- less than an hour ago I set my very first world record on it, so the gametime is definately worth it. It was a 17"44 1-lap on Bishop Circuit 1, in case you're interested.

I love WrestleCrap.

Batista did a small ad-lib interview with 1wrestling recently, he thinks the guys on SD simply don't care for the show since it is all taped and thus if they make any mistakes it can be taped over again. He also said they wonder more about where they are going after the show rather than what they are doing on the show, which strikes me as harsh but I guess when you're on RAW you can't exactly 'praise' the opposition.

He also said British fans were best no, really he did, he said he thinks Americans can be a little spoiled about their wrestling so they don't care so much, in Britain we cheer anyways. Batista then said his favourite wrestler growing up was the Warlord..... at which point I stopped reading the interview.

Heya,

I'm making a time trial ladder for the Synobazz Championship track for Maximum Velocity (for the MFO site), I already have times from the top 300 or so Japanese players, and an extra 200 or so from Germany, Britain, France, USA, Hong Kong, Panama, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, etc. etc.... I already know Heian-794's time, does anyone else here have the game and a time for it? It doesnt have to be uber or anything, I'd basically just want to add it and make a wholly complete ladder.

You can unlock the Championship circuit by setting a ranked time on the first 15 circuits. (Pawn Knight and Bishop). I don't think Queen is necessary.

As an incentive, Heian's time is 1'53"69... mine is 1'23"34.

Sorry about that, it was sorta like a brag. But 1'23 has been passed.... my time isnt even in the top 10 in the world, the WR is a 1'21"88. Tomorrow's my birthday and Im hoping to get a GBPlayer, hopefully I can make a video of my run by taping it from the TV (since there is the replay option for Championship).

I like Batista for the very same reasons that Jarukoth gave. Most wrestlers think nowadays that shouting down the mic and acting big-headed is cool (*coughJohnCenacough*) but Batista is clearly the thinking-mans' knucklehead (my sister calls him that, rude but fair in a warped sort of way). Its a shame the aforementioned Raven is nowhere near his ECW best in TNA.... whats with the helmet? And i also like Christian and Tyson Tomko for the same reasons, understated and humourous in a smart manner- Christian's rap against Cena was hilarious. It seems Edge didn't keep the humour from his E&C days whilst Christian did.....

And about the HHH thing: I agree that people who go against him are cheered by the crowds for it, but when their heat gets killed off by repetitive losing against Trips then they get frustrated. Just look at Randal, he was booed by sections of the crowd on RAW because of his fKitten Yiffer to win the previous night (the concussion angle was lame).

It's not so much that TNA wouldn't let Raven do the stuff he did in ECW- if they let AJ Styles do a Styles Clash from 20 feet in the air than they can let Raven do anything- its that Raven is not the same character as he used to be. He didn't whine or act like everyone else; here was a guy who who was brooding, uber-cool, had a mysterious background who built up an inexplicable group of people around him including the Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards, and was just plain dark, people. Anyone remember him snapping all of Perry Saturn's fingers in half?

It wasn't just his moves or his mic skills, it was his overall persona that made him. His long, heated and quite frankly legendary feud with Tommy Dreamer is great for so many reasons, and one of which was the attraction of these former high-school friends (per the storyline, anyway) being at odds with each other with one being a regular guy and the other being the polar opposite. But Raven- what a polar opposite! It was a unique twist that not a whole lot of wrestlers have encaptured since. Raven has simply not been the same Raven since he joined WCW, and the wrestling world became a poorer place for it. Oh, and Raven's T-shirts were fucking brilliant.

True... but if you're a natural then you don't need sillyness to get you over. For Eugene it has worked but that is a separate case from any other wrestler breaking in and so to get mic skills over I think they need practice not just on sillyness but generally too. How much time do JBL, Trips, Flair, Bischoff, Theodore, Guererro and Kane get each week? I would like to see some more trash talkin from Shelton, Christian and co. they need that recognition as much as anyone.

I keep wondering about this Chris Masters coming in.... the name is corny ("The Masterpiece") and the vids are good but will this guy have actual in-ring ability and personality? I really hope he's not another Nathan Jones. *Has a fit*.

No weapons per se that I'd use, but I guess these all count...

-Knives
-Hammer
-Sledgehammer
-Kendo Stick
-Pizza slicer
-Boomerang
-Size 14 hiking boots
-Cheese grater
-Rubbish bin
-Scolding water (if your assailant waits for you to boil the kettle)
-Bread bin
-Spare PC monitor
-Hardback of Ultimate Formula One Encycolpedia
-Garfield teddy bears (all 26... you'd die of suffocation if they fell on you)
-BB gun
-Dustbin lid
-DVD collection (the whole shelf in general)

See, anything could be construed as a weapon. More imaginative the better.
