This is my Super Mario Bros hack. It's pretty good I guess. So far, I've changed some of the graphics and totally remixed some levels and totally redid some levels. I also changed the physics a little bit by making Mario's fireballs shoot straight and making the bullet bills that come out of the cannons shoot MUCH faster. I'm not done yet, though. Most of my levels I've made should undergo a second remix because some of them are too close to original levels, just with a bunch of changes to make them harder. I also want to see what kind of ASM hacks I could incorperate into it. Currently my beta testers are Reiriano and Shadic. Anyways:

I've been working on this in kind of secret for quite some time. That way I dont have many people hounding me to get it done. With the boredom of being banned, I did a whole bunch of work on it so now it's kind of presentable. That glitch in the screenshot is just the shot not the rom itself. Bowser is there just to throw you off. Swimming levels have been drained. I hate them with a passion. I dont know when the first demo will be. I might release a "world one" demo soon if you guys want me to, but I want to keep the game more unplayed until I get the new graphics into it. Once that is done, I'll probably be content with most of the game.

EDIT: In showing of how soon the demo would be up, I've already completed work on the demo. It's a world 1 demo. Have fun! ^^

This is not necessarily for Nebio. I want to be an expert SMB1 hacker, so I want to know what kind of hacks to make and what people want. Your ideas may or may not be put in Nebio. Your ideas may or may not be put in my next hack, whatever it may be. But your ideas will be appreciated as long as they're specific. No broad statements such as: "Needs ASM hacks" or stuff like that. Anyways: suggest the things you would like to see and I will take them into consideration.

Ok. About the new graphics: that's a great idea. Changing the graphics of everything will ALWAYS be my goal in romhacking. I just like making the levels first! ^^ The ASM hack to change how high Mario jumps would be good. I would like to make Mario jump a little higher and run a little faster. You know: just to throw people who memorise Mario's movements off. Bonus mode would be too complicated, but sounds like a great idea. If anyone has any info on how I could accomplish something like this, let me know. I'll keep the level thing in mind. Some of the levels I'm making are pretty hard, but I can get through them without getting hit, but it takes extream luck on my part.

One of my ideas was using coins in a sort of shop, but I wouldnt know how to make such a shop. If anyone has any info on this, please let me know.

Everyone seems to confuse ASM with data. Jump height is data. Jump behavior is ASM (after all, data won't help much when it comes to accellerating his fall). I konw quite a few editors that allow you to change his max. jump height.




lol. I've just been introduced to this term, so all I know is what people tell me. Care to go into a little more detail on what's an ASM hack and what's a data hack?

You know: That would be interesting. That's something I'd like to see, but I doubt it's possible unless you make the whole game like that.

Yeah I'm using 1.8a. I dont know where to get 1.92. Well thanks for the info! ^^

Another problem is that you have to log on to do anything, such as edit your profile.

Everytime you edit your profile, you have to put in your username and password. Also: If someone were to give me 1.92 I would be greatful and make the switch, but since I doubt that's going to happen, I'm just going to try and make this work for me.

EDIT: Nevermind: I got my hands on 1.92! ^^ So happy! Anyways: does this mean I have to start over again?
