I'm working on it.
Why should I support dungeons? Nephi supports dungeons so it's not necessarily. I think I could do a English translation if you want
But before I can release the outdoor map editor I have to find the events. I'll search for them today but I can't promise that I'll find them.

P.S.: Perhaps you'll see me here more often in the next time ^^

Huhu,
if you want, I could revise and translate the data to Zelda4DX which I have made a time ago. It would take sometime because I haven't hacked Zelda for a long time. If there is interest I could perhaps finish my 2 editors.

Yes, I mean those two editors. I will see what I can do. It depends on how many free time I will have in the next weeks.

Hi,
don't know if this is the right forum but can anybody tell me why the board software hasen't any search function? Nearly every board software I know has that feature. If this question was already asked - sorry.

Hi,

I would recommend you Zeromap. But as far as I know it only works with the German versions of Gold/Silver.

Here you can get it:

Hi,
I'm working on a Mapeditor for SuperMario2 atm. I'm so far that it can view all maps but I don't know if it works with the English version, too...
If I find a English rom, I'll what I can do...
Perhaps I'll give you a little beta version the next days...

EDIT: I just remember that there is only one version of SuperMario2 ^^"

Yes,
we are talking about Super Mario Land 2 - Six Golden Coins.
My editor supports 1.0/ENG, 1.2/ENG, 1.0/JAP, 1.2/JAP...

With "only one version" I wanted to say that there is no special German edition...

EDIT: I've made a screenshot of what I have so far:

I'm, working pretty solidly on this too right now. I'd be very appreciative of any and all information you could forward to me- as well as any docs you've come across.

I'm going through the rom byte by byte at the moment looking for enemy location data. I shall of course post my findings here.

Bis jetzt finde ich es sehr Schon!

It's a actual screenshot(well, now it is old again).

Well I'll look for Sprites and Enemeys this afternoon, I think.

Well, I could give you the docs, but most of them are full of ASM-Stuff...

Mhh...
try to reproduce the map in the game at the place where it should be. Then you go there in the hexeditor and copy the map into your clipboard. Ater you copied the map you search for it. If you have found the offset, where the map is, you write down that offset. Edit the map in EliteMap/AdvanceMap again and then you copy the map again. Then you go to the offset you've written down before. There you paste your map...
I hope it works like this

Good work @Crimson

Does anybody know anything about sound, overworld and collision data? Or about warps?

y = (byte3 and $7F) * 8
This should be right...

if (byte3 and $80) = $80 then enemy doesn't appear in easy mode...

x = (byte1 and $0f) * 256 + (byte2 and $1f) * 8

sprite's type = (byte1 and $F0) / 4
if sprite's type and 4 = 1 then sprite's type = sprite's type + $3c
sprite's type = sprite's type + (byte2 and $E0) / $20

so it's built up like this:
ABCDEFGH-IJKLMNOP-QRSTUVWX
ssssxxxx-sssxxxxx-eyyyyyyy

where s = sprite's type and e = easy mode
x = 0000EFGH LMNOP000
e = 0000000Q
y = 000000RS TUVWX000
s = 0DABCIJK

anything wrong?

Btw: The Version which is linked above can now edit the tile map, but doesn't repoint it...

Well,
I don't know much, but that's what I know so far:
Map 1-1: 0xA2BE

Structure:
The first byte is split in two parts. The high 4 bits are a y-component(y) and the low 4 bits are a lenght(x). The game draws x tiles to y + 2(because of the status bar at the top of the screen). If there is a FE byte it goes to the next row. I'm not sure, but FF tells the game, that it is the end of the tile map.

Well, in gold/silver you could do it with ingame-scripts. There is a command which prompts a person to follow hero. There are scripts which are executed every time you enter a map. So you "only" would have to add this command in every of those scripts. I don't know if there is such a command in Rb/Sa/Em/Fr/Lg, too ... but if not the only way would be ASM hacking.
