Are there any 'Easy to use' Fighting game makers...? such as the old and basic fighting game engine KOF91 or the complicated (at least for me) MUGEN 2D fighting engine.

by 2D Fighting games I'm referring to games such as Marvel Vs Capcom, Street Fighter, King Of Fighters... etc..

One of the weirdest things on the mario series is 'C jumping'.
That is to say, change your direction of a jump in mid air... Pure mario physics
Why the 'C' ?
well imagine you're in the last tile of a platform and in front of you there's a pit... and above you there's another platform the same length as the one you're standing in.. (which means .. you have a tile above you at a considerable distance)... well in mario games you can jump as if you where about to commit suicide but then you change direction and OMG! you landed on the platform on top of you!.. describing the shape of a C! ..
Me loves SMB Physics!

You're looking for somehting like Klik N Play, right?
Then get either The Games Factory, Multimedia Fusion or Click n Create... the last one is the hardest to find... The Games Factory is the easiest to find and get.. a goolge search + the word 'download' shall do the trick. But Multimedia Fusion is the one with more extra stuff.. the interface is JUST LIKE KNP..

So you're also expecting an intresting Mario brothers for the Nintendo DS?
Rumor has it that it will be a 2D platformer... but with 3d graphics.. sounds DKC-ish to me.. but that triology was excellent....
Mario went 3D.. Gameplay went down.. let's face it.. mario was meant to be the good ol 'stomp em - pick em - throw em - get powerups' platformer..

The clothes thing is more of a Cartoon thing... most cartoons that wear clothes never get to change 'em because it simplifies the animation... animators can use frames drawn on earlier episodes or just use a single character 'model + skin' in case of 3D cartoons... it saves up moneys!

Congratulations HyperHacker you just explained SMB Physics, Pataphysics, Biology, Chemistry and every other science that can be considered within the mario bros. games.

Now I can 'C-jump' without scratching my head asking 'how the hell he did that!?'

for 'GOD THIS IS TOO DAMN EASY' beginners you have the KOF91 2D fighting engine...
another one but it's more advanced is the worldwide known M.U.G.E.N. engine..
these 2 can help you make games kind of like Street Fighter, SNK's King of Fighter's and stuff like that..

You also have more complicated for my tastes fighting engines such as Fighter Maker 2000 i guess it was called...

MUGEN is the best one.. though i haven't worked with it, it has to be one of the best...

The 'Click' programs I do know that have the same interface as KNP and TGF are those two , Click and Create , and the one I'm using: Multimedia Fusion

So it's:
- Klik n Play (the cheapest one)
- The Games Factory (normal.. at least you have scrolling and other stuff)
- Click n Create (exactly the same as TGF)
- Multimedia Fusion (has more stuff than all of the above but it may be hard to adapt to the add-ons on the interface)

it's a very interesting idea, and wil definetly add a bit more of realism to RPG games. In fact, it'll be better if instead of the good ol' 'Fighting by turns' the characters should fight as if in a 3D fighter game... that would even make you consider the momentum of your attack, etc...

You're calculations seem to be right. . i don't seem to get why there are square roots in there. You should consider a classic Forces study for each specific strike and then make it a global equation for all types of attack.. . the length of the arm/weapon, it's mass, the strength or speed the character seems to weild his weapons or his own arm also affect it... etc.. This is just what come from the top of my head right now. The only thing i would add is Momentum/Torque in the equation..

Personally I loved the game. Thing was it was too short (i finished it less than 2 weeks..). Must be 24 hrs of gameplay ... or a little more...not using a walktrough or anything..

But even once the game ends there are lots of sidequests that look really interesting. There are character around that u may recognize from other Zelda games(WW & OoT too). I also enjoyed the music wich was mostly OoT tunes that where revamped or slightly altered.
The Wind Waker graphics with the 'classic' Hyrule locations was an interesting mix.. I must say that Ezlo (The misish cap itself) wasn't as irritating as the old fairy companions that link has had (The obnoxious Navi... and the rather indifferent Tatl) and it's interaction with the gameplay was quite an interesting add-on for the Zelda franchise...

I will now make a comment that may be considered a spolier but i doubt so:
When you finish the game and save.. one of the triangles of the triforce appear on your saved file (although the game's plot doesn't refer to it during the whole game).. anybody knows if it's a little symbol to say 'you finished the game' or there's a way to get the other two and if so.. what the heck happens when you get the triforce in your saved file...hmmmm

For what I've played so far it's a great hack. I loved it.

Although, the new pokemon seem to be just name and graphic hacks of the old pokemon in Ru/Sa... do you plan on changing moves they'll learn while reaching higher levels or even making weird evolutions (that don't follow the pattern of the original ones)?

Hmmm didn't realized that ... I started with Firegg..
Did you also noticed that the color palettes from the new pokemon correspong to their 'original pokemon' pallete? I wonder if that can be changed and does every pokemon have it's own pallete..

It seem like most people want to see the bramble background and I must admit i voted for that one too. But I was the only one to vote for the Hornet Hole BG... i feel it can be interesting to see mario in a beehive themed level.. allthough it wont be the same without the sticky honey on the floor or on the walls and lets not forget the music from that level.. still its something different-
