| I have Macross Plus, 7, and Robotech seasons 1 & 3(the 2nd one sucked ass). I first saw Robotech back when I was 10 years old. Great anime. It was my favorite at the time and I cried when they(toonami) took it off the air. | (Geez, SS and I are similar)I am 16 and I want to: -Help people in some way(be a good Muslim) -Get married and have kids at a somewhat young age(25?) -Keep in touch with family and friends -Make more friends(I don't mean to brag, but it's easy for me to do) -Protect those whom I love. -Get a good job.(don't really care what it is.) Surgery looks good to me, good pay and I can help others.  -Repay those who've done so much for me in some way. Farfetched goals: -End conflict in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, all over the world. -Unite all followers of Islam - show those who've led astray the right path.(like those people who say they're Muslims but don't act it.) -Pilot a Mobile Suit. -Have no more sadness in my life. This is sad, sometimes I wonder if it'd be less of a grievance(to me) for me to die before my parents, because I really cannot see them gone, they've done so much for me. | 1. Muslim, and damned proud of it too. 2. We believe in one god, Allah, the most Beneficient and the most Merciful. We believe in the five pillars, look them up. We believe in helping others, respecting others(religions, cultures, etc.), the afterlife, all of the prophets mentioned in the Bible+1 more: Muhammad (S). We believe that God does not force people to be Muslim, he just wants us to be good and to believe in him. Basically, in essence, following those two rules, you are a Muslim. Also, God gave you a brain, don't waste it. 3. We are not much different from Christianity and Judaism. There really are just a couple of differences here and there. In my form(the first, true one, Sunni), we abstain from things such as pre marital sex, alcohol, dating, haram foods, and exposing your body lewdly. 4. I've been raised by Muslims. However, I believe that your faith depends on you. Because when you grow older, you think freely. I have always believed in my religion, having some crises along the way. But recently, I have realized how logical Islam is. Every question about it that I think of has a reasonable explanation. I respect each and every one of your opinions. That's what good Muslims do. Also, expanding on the Muslim thought that the brain is a terrible thing to waste, it is very important for Muslims to learn about other religions. Also, another thing is that science and other studies are incorporated into Islam. And there have been many great discoveries thanks to the Muslim population back in the Medieval era, I believe. (I wrote a paper on that) |

Well, there still is a lot that I need to know about religion and how it contributed to society, as my friend Mr. Brooks tells me. But, I believe that religion has to do about not just the principles or just the followers, but both. However, you should identify a religion through its teachings and not the people who "follow"(or say they do) it, because you really don't know what they're thinking. |

SS, I appreciate your words. Well, it seems you are going through somewhat of a crisis, yes? Well, I cannot say that I haven't. It can be really difficult sometimes, when all seems to crumble right in front of you. Oh, and please, I believe that I cannot be considered a true Muslim unless I enter Heaven. |
Oh, here are some more ideas in Islam: -There are no people who act as priests, just people who lead the prayers and are the heads of the Mosque. -We believe that God does not have a real human form. The sight of him, however, can be blinding, as seen with prophet Musa (Moses), though I'm not sure if that story's in the Bible/Torah or not. -There are no pictures of any prophet, angel, any other figure mentioned in the Qu'ran. -Nobody, except the very holy people and prophets will enter the afterlife upon their death. Everyone else has to wait until Judgement Day. (I BELIEVE that's what it is, not TOTALLY sure.)
