Two problems from the start were that the show didn't include any planeteers that were Middle Eastern or Indian/Desi. ( ) But I find it funny that we consider Heart the most worthless character because I remember one cheesy episode where the green mulleted protagonist said that heart was in fact the best of all the planeteers. |

| It's a cyberpunk movie about this group of fugitive robots called replicants. The main character(played by Harrison Ford) goes out to find them and is known as a Blade Runner. Pretty cool movie. The whole atmosphere in the movie was a paradigm for other cyberpunk works to follow.(tv shows, movies, books, video games, anime, etc.) Similar to how The Road Warrior did the same for works set in the postapocalyptic future. Now, if you enjoy anime, there are, coincidentally, two anime/manga which follow these styles closely. As far as cyberpunk goes, read the Battle Angel Alita manga(found in Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.), and if you like stories set in the postapocalyptic future, go for Fist of the North Star.(ANYTHING BUT THE MOVIE, PLEASE) |

| Drugs are just plain stupid. I mean I can see why someone would do it, but that doesn't mean it's a valid reason. I would say that people who do it to escape reality are stupid, but that's a little extreme.(depending on the case) They are cowards, in a sense, even though you can't really hide from reality. Also, after the first "hit", you can't ever experience the same rush ever again. So you'll always be hooked. And certain drugs, like Ecstasy are so damaging that they actually leave HOLES in your brain. It's one of the worst things you can do to yourself and is stupid in general. You can say what you want, but I really doubt that the majority of people are using drugs for medicinal reasons. (the "bad" drugs) Well Ziff, even if certain groups do something, it can still be condemned and I agree with it as long as there's a valid reason. Polygamy, for example. It's allowed in Islam(up to 4, you gotta treat them equally), but it's better that you don't do it. Drinking blood and eating human flesh maybe awkward, but it has no place in society. So I kind of agree with banning certain rights allowed in a religion. Such traditions like sati(Hindu ritual of wife jumping onto funeral pyre alive while husband is cremated) are not really the base of the religion; they can be taken out because they don't affect the beliefs of the religion but maintain stability. I also don't like how if one person does this(they obviously believe in it), like murderers, they aren't accepted. But if a large group of people do something collectively(religious rites), then it's ok. | |||

| I totally owned the AP European History Midterm. Started with the Later Middle Ages and ended with Waterloo. 50 Multiple Choice, 30 Fill ins, 10/20 Identifications, 4 DBQ's, and 2 Essays. 2 hours. At first, the only issue was time, but then I wasn't bothered and had like 15 minutes to check over stuff. The Identifications are where we had to write a sentence or two about a person/place/idea, etc. And DBQ's are where u take a document, take your knowledge of the person and their ideas, and answer the given question in a paragraph or two. Simple. I studied so hard that I was asking myself questions in my sleep. |
