William, underground, waited and waited and waited for a move...

Unfortunately, nothing was going down... so William had to send something up to get something down there.

He pulled from his sack a Bob-omb. He turned the knob on the back and placed it in front of him. It started walking along the dirt and when it reached the slope, it started climbing it, going up until it popped out of the hole. It then simply walked along until it went about a foot. Then...

Everyone thought it was going to explode. It didn't... it just stood there doing nothing.

William was sitting in his nice little cavern setting, a light from a candle allowing him to see the magazine in his hands. He turned the page, awaiting for some sort of sign to do something...

Today, while playing Conker: Live and Reloaded, I was at the It's War chapter. I was at the part after you save Rodent and have to go through the trenches.

I didn't notice it was storming outside. Just lightning, but still.

A small power surge. It turned off my TV at first and a few other things, and then it turned off my XBox. I decided to go back outside for a bit and then I came back in to continue.

"Your saved data is corrupt or damaged."

...so now I have to start over to beat it again. SO MUCH CRAP I WENT THROUGH! SO MUCH!

Another bad moment: Buying RE4, played it once, never reached first boss, never touched it after first play. I just couldn't go back into playing it again... don't know why, I just couldn't...

I must say, one of the coolest Xbox games out there.

Its single player is awesome. It is a very decent platformer. I say some platformers get repetitive. This one doesn't. The whole Context Sensitive thing is awesome. Plus, the parodies are awesome.

The multiplayer, though, is good. However... I barely touched Xbox live (only played it Live at a video game caf

CP: Ohhhh! Nicely done there. Love the Chomps!
Kins: That set looks really nice.
Dan: Wow... just... wow. I want that editor! Looks like the Megaman editor you made, which means... REALLY GOOD FUNCTIONALITY! I hope so...
BlueSonic: Holy crap! That is getting updated again!? Alright! Can't wait for that.
xZeaLitYx: Nice.
Dr. Mario: Liking the new graphics there.

Marty flew down towards the spikes, dodging the energy beam fired at them. He went down heading towards a spike in the ground. At the last minute, Marty steered him and Mewquas away from it and flew near the ground, going through the spikes in the ground.

They kept going along the spike-ridden ground until he was on the opposite side of the battleground. They went behind a spike and, while one would assume that they would appear from the other side of the spike, they didn't. They somehow just didn't appear. Mewquas held his back against the spike, staying out of the view of Cyberaptor. He hoped not to be seen...

Your inside the body graphics are just like the clouds, except with a horrible palette.

If you want inside the body, you have to play many games that have you eaten or something like that.

Few minutes in LM and that is what I came up with (don't critisize the background. I just quickly whipped up something).

Instead of red, try something along the lines of a pink color. I have seen that in cartoons before, so it should work...

Hey, I won fair and square! Not because of a cheesy health system. You should have used strategy against me.

Anyway, I got mine the first day it came out. I am happy with it. The only problem is that there are scratches on it because my mom put it in her purse in the same pouch with her keys. Then after that, I got a carrying case.

I have a great puzzle game anyway. Meteos is staying in my DS for a very very very very very very very long time. The best DS game so far in my opinion.

Plus, they are going to have Viewtiful Joe DS and Nintendogs... and Animal Crossing and New Super Mario Bros. Not to mention that one surgery game (can't remember the game) looks good.

As for the PSP... played a few games on it. Most noticable one was Ape Escape, which I have played many times on the original Playstation. Good graphics, I will say, but the load times? INSANELY TOO LONG. There was a loading screen from one point in the level to the next. I didn't like it...

I am not done with that tileset in the first place. When I finish it, I might just send it to you. I still have to add plenty of stuff, such as more decoration and some sprite graphics to match (yes, I want sprites there as well.).

I also remembered that Ren and Stimpy (I forget what it was called entirley) was about them two stopping a mouse or something like that. The second level takes place in a mouth and it has a very nice background to use... I think. It's been a while though, since I only rented it for a week a very long time ago...

It could be a good source of backgrounds and motivation. I would look into that.

William: "No way!? Wow, it has been a while, hasn't it?"

William grinned, knowing he was in for a good battle. He took off his black coat and tossed it aside, revealing all of his orange shirt. He reached behind him and pulled from their holsters his boomerang guns. He held them by his sides and stood there.

William: "I'll let you go first, though, since this will be our final battle."

Ok, I am in the process of making a new submission.

I have added a few things. First off, the FG uses two different palettes so you could have two different atmospheres if you want. Second, instead of a slope being of the same material as the ground, it is a bone that actually attaches to another part of the ground. Nice, isn't it?

I have a few things to do though, such as make the other slope and do the whole tile settings for the slope (this is just so I can show it in game).

However, I am in a bit of a stump. I don't know what else to add into it. Any suggestions?

Did you have to answer the question about what the "Slippery when wet" sign was? Was one of the answers "Drunk Driver Ahead"?

Seriously. I had that as a multiple choice question to get my learner's permit, and that was one of the answer choices.
Just wanting to see if anyone's test was as stupid as mine.

Congratulations.

Depends on what you want to rip from.

If it is for a SNES game, save a savestate and use BGMapper and you can see all the tiles in use. You can then put it in a .bin file and put it in SMW.

For a GBA game, you might want to take a screenshot and then make 8x8 tiles and copy/paste into a graphics editor.

I really don't know about GBA games since it is so much harder to rip from those, but I know that will work.

Mewquas' voice boomed across the battlefield, like it was on a megaphone or something.

Mewquas: "Pitiful creature! You do not know what kind of technology you are up against!"

From behind where Cyberaptor was hovering, Mewquas leaped from the spikes, holding his sword back, the sword glowing bright. He slashed down, hoping to damage the foe as much as he could from behind.

Marty appeared from a different area of the spikes, shooting up with his jetpacks and trying to distract Cyberaptor.

The spikes all had consoles on them which allowed anyone to go from one spike to another via the tubings, which is how Mewquas and Marty were able to suddenly appear wherever they wanted in the spike field. However, their enemies could use the spike transports as well, making them have the advantage.

...don't call me KATW... just... don't.

Yes, it is plain, but I am not sure what else to add, which is why I am posting it in the first place. Teeth would be cool. And veins... why couldn't I think of that? Bones as stumps would be cool as well.

Posted on 07-11-05 11:45 PM, in Lemmings NES Notes from me... Link
I am not sure if the level data for the NES version of Lemmings has been found and I did look for any documents for it... so...

Crappy pic of how I did find level data.

I used DWedit's corrupting program to find the data. Here is what I found. (Using Lemmings_(U).nes)

0x4010 - Seems to be some pointer data. Changing this changes the position of the level and also changes certain tiles to different things. Consists of three bytes for first level... so probably pointers...

0x4D10 - Beginning of level data Tiles have two bytes. Format is tile and then an unknown value. Time to test the stuff.

Obviously, changing 01 00 02 00 03 00 to all 00, the first three tiles in the first level become nothing but black. Putting it back to the way it was and changing all values of 00 to 01, the tiles mess up. Still unknown what that second byte is. Change it to 0F and the tiles mess up again. This might be tileset specific values or something along the lines of that, since they do seem to have flipped tiles and not just screwed up stuff.

While this isn't much, this is the start of a new game to hack. There are a few things needed though... such as sprite positions and TSA (I found it but I lost the address...). Level headers are also needed to change tilesets and how many jobs are available...

Sorry if this has been found (and these notes aren't stupendous), but I was bored and wanted something different to hack... and I don't think there are any Lemmings editors or hacks out there...
