| What you people think about this band? VDGG, imo, is an amazing group. Their vocalist, Peter Hammill, is probably the best vocalist ever, he is a contortionist of the voice, the way he changes his singing through the songs is so great that only someone so gifted on the voice would be able to do it. My fav albums of them are Pawn Hearts (very, very dark and surreal) and Godbluff (containing one of my all time fav songs, Arrow). So, lets discuss the band, imo VDGG is one the best things to appeal our ears that appeared on the prog rock scene. (edited by Aioria on 06-27-05 06:26 PM) |

| the graphics are amazing and very well ripped, that intro is perfect, an awesome job. but the hack isn't fun  it lacks level design quality, some levels seem to have been done just to display the exgfx and are very repetitive and contain lots of errors, such as slowdowns, different gfx for same items/enemies/blocks on different levels, "get trapped" areas (there is lots of moments that Mario has to commit suicide because he got trapped on the water and can't reach the top of the pipe), making SMW lava gfx in a level containing already lava from SMW2 :YI looks weird. Did i already mention the BAD level design? Bad use of some tiles, repetitive "challenges" in levels.Also, there is not a growing difficulty level, and Mario looks out of place in that level you made on Yoshi's House. The overworld is squarish and follows a similar fashion of SMW's original one in terms of EVENTS. You really didn't change most of the events, and that ice world OW is bland. A bit inconsistent hack, but has nice exgfx. I still would prefer that this would have been a FUN and consistent hack even if it had only the SMW's gfx. |

yay for the elevator idea!  nay for the palletes hm...this looks a bit...bad  seriously, you seem to have some cool level ideas, but those palletes don't work, and those hand drawn gfx make me want to scratch my stomach in a vinegar pool. |

| hey hey i was only giving my opinion, sorry if you felt offended, i didnt want to offend you. what i mean by 'squarish' is that it doesn't have too much variation, seems a bit like a plain ground in most of its parts. |

| Hey mates, my life just got frigging amazing nowadays and unfortunately i dont have more time to use internet as i had. I am saying amazing in both its true sense but with an ironic feel too. I just got busy as hell with my job and studies. I barely use the computer and therefore the internet. I got a girlfriend and she is THE MOST AMAZING person ever, i love her, we 've been together for some months now and we love each other so deeply that i cant describe how i feel when i see her or hear her voice. She has helped me on hard situations on my life, and so did i in some moments with her. We are colleagues, friends and just one soul united by our love. I do love her people, i thought i'd never what the meaning of the word 'love' is, but now i feel with total strenght, it is something very deep and far from the normal senses on this world. I also dont make smw hax0rz anymore, i only play what the people create since i honestly lost interest for it. Lack of time? Yes, but also boredom. I got bored of creating levels and making random sprites and honestly i cant even tuch an hex editor anymore. People, i know i may had fights with some of the members in past times, and in others occasions i had also amazing discussions here, mainly i the SMW forum, where the great majority of my friends post. I'd just like to say that despite all the conflicts i think i'll miss this place. goodbye acmlmians. Aioria. |
