| for me it started last week. Actually I've finished school already, I'm making now a preparatory course w/ all the high school and elementary school contents as a review of all, so I can be better prepared to my assignement test at the college. I'm almost finishing my English course too, next year I end it. The English course's classes will start wednesday, at this week. |

| the doors are excellent. I have gotten into their stuff last year, I got that album 'soundtrack', which has some of thier best works and jim morrison stuff. They are in my top 10 fav bands, and the only Rod Stewart song I enjoy is 'sailing', and that song is also not so much big deal, so mah vote goes 4 the doors. |

| Celestial Voices, by Pink Floyd from the live in pompeii show. It is a great song, it has a very touching and well done instrumental with organ and slide guitar mainly, it is almost divine stuff, this song is very beautiful. Then we have David Gilmour at the ending making a great vocal work, the song doesn't have lyrics, Dave mainly says 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, aahhhhhhhhh, aaaaaaaaaaaaaah' in a very touching way. Legion, you can find this rare audio version from this floydian work at kazaa, that might be a cool song for you and the other floyd fans, and for ppl that may want to get into the Floyd. | So, which bands or artist you consider to be overrated or underrated? Here's mine: Overrated: Eric Clapton, he is not so good imo, I love his song 'holy mother', though. Underrated: Scorpions. They are a german band. They are excellent, they have a lot of neat and wonderful works, but unfortunately few ppl either know or enjoy them. They had a heavy metal era, but they have been making some good new work at the last years, some really good ballads also. So, which is under/over in your opinion and give the reasons you think that |

| I didn't add YI: SMW2 here for obvious reasons, that game has an incredible level design and variety of tiles and foregrounds and backgrounds, so I just added those 4 games. My vote goes for smb3, it has the best usage of graphics and the level design is not so bland as SMW's. Also, smb doesn't have a good variety of level kinds, and smb2 fail a lot on organizing its tiles. | Very good thread, we have one like this on the old board, and that's very interesting for new smw hackers. 12. Always back-up your rom, EVERYDAY. Also, at least one time per month, save it in a disket or cd to avoid ANY troubles of 'losing' your hack. 13. Make the paletes of the FG fit between the others of the FG and with the BG. Some recent hacks have been mistaking on the palete part, and ugly and weird paletes affect the level design, one of the things that a game creator should give a lot of emphasis. 14. Don't release 1,000,000 demos of your hack. Your hack will be less interesting, and when you release its final version, ppl won't enjoy it at all... FPI made an interesting system ofdemo releases, 2 worlds more complete at each demo. 15. Careful with the difficulty level with your hack. Any game is supposed to start EASY and become more hard as the player reaches higher stages of the game. Too hard hacks, where you have to use tons of game genie codes and save-states make the game be not fun, and a game is supposed to be fun too. 16. Show screens of your work before releasing a demo of it. And comments.
