ok im a noob il admit it i know how to use most features of lunar magic and im just getting used to exgraphics but not editing them and i want to know a couple of things

1. how do i make my own background for a level i cant figure it out

2. ive inserted an exgraphics file i downloaded but is it possible to use more than one in any level because you need the map16 files and i dont want to mess up my rom by overwriting them by mistake

3. also can anyone either make or give me step by steps on how to make a pipe that you go in one side and you move through the other side like in demo world tlc?

4. is there a way of editing the boss rooms

5. how do i edit the enemy sprites if i need a program to do this can you tell me which ones and where to get them

6. what tile editor should i get

finally anyone wanna help out working on a hack i really could use help until ive got used to it

hey ive just started using these exgraphics yet i have a problemn ive inserted the exgraphics so i can use them whilst building my level yet when ive saved and play the level all i get are blue blocks and i cant figure it out ...

any help?

ok people im back after doing all my school work on holiday

right ive started again on my sm hack and i need to ask a couple of things,

ive used the blocktool program to make a breakable brick BUT i cant find a graphic for it and i dont know how to make one , so if you can either tell me where to get one or tell me how to make one that will be fine and dandy , also if you can point me in the direction of a decent tile editor id appreciate that too

never mind ive figured it out

also this may have been answered before but i cant find it, i finished making a level today using exgfx and saved it it works fine, i started on my next level and inserted some new exgfx now , to do that i had to overwrite the map16.bin files with the ones in the other exgfx folder so bear that in mind if neccesary but after i finished my level and saved it i test played it worked fine, i then tryed the level before it , the graphics were glitched as heck, ive managed to get the graphics back but in turn ive glitched the graphics on the other level so how can i use both sets of ex gfx without messing up any of the levels?

right off the top of me head , you need to get the Key from the first room just fly up to the top right of the room then put the key by the keyhole and go thru the level till you find a part you can fly up to an alcove with a silver p switch at the end bring it back to the bit with the pipes and the pirana plants (the black things) below use it here and jump down between the pipes you will go thru the floor and run right till you find the p switch , bring it thru the pipe and viola

right i may be slightly new to this website and a bit new to lunar magic but i know the majority of the features yet everyone who starts have the same problem, when they insert more than one exgfx from the workshop there colours get messed up now they then post and block up the forums so if we can have the problems in one thread that might save time as the answer might be earlier on,

Ill Go First, if i insert an exgfx with the map16 stuff and save it right thats ok, but if i add another one in i have to delete the old map 16 and save it then the new one works and the old one doesnt, can anyone say the CORRECT way of fixing this not just, your deleting the pages or overwriting the graphics , i want to know is it possible to add mroe than one exgfx if so where have i gone wrong

"You can't insert more than one of these files in a same map16 page. If you do it, LM will replace the old ones by the new files. Change it before a new addition." see thats the sort of response i normally get , the problem isnt me overwriting the tiles its just how can i have 2 exgfx's when i can only have 1 map 16 file

Right ive gotten everything sorted in my hack, i can now get started , i know you can have 96 exits which is about 80 levels from my count, does anyone know what the maximum number of levels is and what levels havent been used , also what levels CANT be used with the overworld, if i can figure this lot out i can make my hack as big as possible.

P.S.
also im looking for someone who is willing to help with my hack, im at a deadline of february becasue im trying to make it for me sister who gets back from her year trip to australia in feb and she loves mario games, so as much help that possible please?

ok i can guess that im gonna have to learn more then if i want to increase the exit counter, and in regards to my 2nd part of the post then pm me, im only looking for help with overworlds ither help isnt neccesary but ill take what im given


right im gonna go have a look at increasing the amount of levels , maybe i can hack into dw tlc and find out what he did....
