MSN is alright. I've always used MSN through trillian so I do not get the real MSN experience but yeah. There are certain features of MSN that are cool (like aliasing) but other than that, I'm more of an AIM person

hmm..it is late in the 2nd quarter and the eagles are up 7. However, the Patriots are threatening but I don't think they are going to get far..or will they...

Anyways, yeah--this was a close game. I mean, the Eagles were in most of it until the Patriots scored the last 10 points. Once the Eagles were down by three, some of the stuff they did was questionable. They seemed to lack any ability to do no-huddle offense when they needed to. I only saw much of the end of the game but going into halftime, the Eagles still had a shot at that point. Once the second half game around, they well...started losing it. McNabb started to lose his composure towards the end and started to play sloppy (his last pass as an INT didn't help). So yeah, I believe this was a good game for about three quarters...

I wouldn't mind making a GUI for it. I'd like to learn how to program a windows interface using either the API or MFC. So, yeah not bad. Runs pretty well. Very minor graphics errors for the level selected part of Megaman 3 (could be the ROM). Looks promising

I use gaim. The last AIM client I'll use from AOL is v5.2. I really dont' like the new features of AIM tha has come after 5.2. AIM is now so bloated too. I don't like using memory mods such as DeadAIM.

Gaim has multi client capabilities but I don't use them. I have trillian but I don't like trillian's habit of not syncing to the AIM buddy list though. Also, I don't think trillian has unicode support? I dunno, I've never tried typing Japanese with it...

hmm...i wonder if somebody can sue to overturn that. I wonder who would win. I think in some ways, it is a good idea because it may give people an excuse to go to Chicago (very unlikely though). But I think overall it is stupid because if the public paid for it, the public owns it, so therefore if the general public wants to be able to photograph it, they should be able to...

nero doesn't like the format of the videos. it is in a format that causes the Nero's video converter to crash. the solution is to get a new version of nero or to use another program to convert your videos to VOB format

here are the exact lines:

Windows XP with Cygwin

Windows XP has never given me problems like it has to other people. Not sure what happens on other people's computers so yeah. I use Cygwin to be able to have a little flavor of UNIX on my computer for webserving and PHP processing (and to do my CS homework).

I would switch to a non-Windows OS (like Mac or some version of Unix, though not Linux) except a lot of what I do needs Windows--particularly video processing. If there are good video processors with video capture capbility through firewire, I'd probably switch the next time I redo the OS.

i dunno, i heard one of the commentators say that...

yeah, philly's time management must have left the building after they went down by 10 because if they used no-huddle, they probably would have scored with more time left.

interesting statistic for a dynasty (if you call the patriots that)--in their 3 super bowl victories, they've won by an average margin of less than a TD. Compare that to the other dynasties of 49ers, Cowboys, and Stellers who won by more than 10 points on average.

although I really don't like TO, you have to give him props for what he was able to do yesterday

i wonder how many people use that "mark all forums read feature"? I for one don't so I do not have a problem. I don't believe inactive people will have a problem either because they aren't here. Hell, if Jesper didn't make a thread on this, I wouldn't have noticed. So, yeah, I don't see what's the big deal. There are certain things on the board that requires commenting from the users but when it comes to cosmetic things, I don't think we should be consulted. After all, it is just being moved to another place--it's not like the feature was going to be removed.

the deodorant one was surprising... seeing that commercial at the begin makes you go WTF?

That was the only commericial i was able to catch. I didn't start watchin the Super Bowl until the fourth quarter.

some of the things here are interesting some stuff is understandable but others are well--i don't know, they can be addressed rather easily or there is logic behind it

1) like AIM blocking--just set your list to exclusive mode and you can't get harassed unless they are on your list

2) forcing register to view sites is designed to keep bandwidth down--worried about email, then why don't you make a public email and have that seperate from your private one

okay, i guess i've singled out HH (i didn't mean to) but it is the only one i can address, the others are just understandable to me...

ANYWAYS, i thought up a few more.

1) shallow people annoy me because they are materialistic or are very closed minded about stuff

2) people who talk on the cell phone while driving 70+ mph -- accident waiting to happen

3) people who work under the table (i.e. dodge taxes)

4) people who get big bonuses in a company when the company has financial problems
