Way to go, Cassanova...and why were you trying to pick up chicks at a Christian concert...of all places?

I was joking around... I thought it was a guy

How am I suppose to know that gender roles are totally opposite at chirstian concerts? Honestly... All the girls had really short hair for the most part, while all the guys had really tight pants, shaved limbs and longer hair.... I thought I was talking to a guy

I had the longest hair at the concert...

We all use to play with some type of toy growing up and after seeing a 14 year old kid get harhassed on another forum for rather playing with action figures than go chick hunting, I decided to pop this question.

Do you still play with toys?

Honestly? I'm more than 18 years old and I still play with toys. I still buy an action figure or a small set of legos here or there, I don't have much money so its rarely and its usually 50 cent ones at carage sales but still. I enjoy using my imagnation and creating things with legos and I love creating tiny tourments between my action figures.

I don't play with toys as much as I use to, blame the internet, friends, and my desire of females for that but I still get around to it. I play toys with my friends younger siblings all the time. Than the little kid gets mad because he doesn't understand that Green Ranger is god and can't lose... EVER! But yeah, I enjoy playing with toys.

What about it?

The name ended up really sticking and I've been using it for about 4 years now.

Nile being Life?
Delita being determined to get what you want?
Not like being liked to it obvivous...

I probably got those wrong, just curious on why you picked to mix those three words...

So they are wind-up? You can watch them duke it out from a distance without risking any kind of bodily harm? That is uh... so cool!

No, normal action figures, I just got bored of fighting them so I made them take a rest break. How I kill boredom is my own business

Legos were the best thing ever, I lost alot of mine which is a bummer but I remember when me and my sister made a lego city so huge that it took up the whole dinner table...

We got to eat dinner in front of the TV for about 3 days before my dad was like "Fuck this, we're eating like a family" and destroied our beloved city that took me and my sister more than a day to make. We had everything, roads, stores, houses, a hospital, a school (2 stories), an army base, a ranch and a zoo

(by the by, I'm all for people having personal opinions. It's still fun to joke around, though. )

Don't worry, I think most people would agree with you. I know I do.

Actually, I'd like to expand my opinion. Instead of just Britain, I'd like to include all of Europe as well. I can't possibly exclude Scandinavian music. Some of the best music ever made comes from up there.

*agrees with Legion 100%*

The best music comes from Europe. Scandivia mainly but I like so many european bands its not even funny. American music is good, if you can get past the unorignality of the radio.

True that. We have awesome music over here. Only problem is that anything you see in mainstream is pretty much unoriginal borish crap.

The best American bands are bands that aren't too well known and have a cult following status. But still, every now and then a few great bands will fall through the cracks and make it mainstream. And sadly, they fall victim to greedy labels that exploit them trying to make that almighty dollar. :/

I think Limp Bizkit is a good example of this. Their first album was great. Then they got popular and...well, the rest is history.

Hell, you can do a random search on mp3.com and find stuff from no-name garage bands that's loads better than anything they play on the radio or play on MTV these days.

I'm gonna agree with you 100%. The best bands are the ones playing 2AM shows on Tuesday in front of 10 people, not those who own manisons and 15 yachts. You can really tell a difference between bands who play for the love of the music and those that play for money. Its really easy to tell, just look at how they interact with the fans.

I'll give an examples. I went to a Twisted Method, 40 Below Summer, Dope and Mushroomhead concert. I seen Mushroom Head before, back before XX was release, before they became big and they put on a good show, yeah, musically they were unimpressive but they entertained. Twisted Method, 40 Below Summer, and Dope all interacted with the fans, before, during and after the concert. During 40Below Summer's act, a kid jumped on the stage and the guitarist moved away from the mic and let him sing the chorus. Yet, Mushroom Head came on, the crowd went a little nuts since everyone there paid to see them (besides me, I paid to see 40 Below Summer) and you know what? Mushroom head put no effort at all in to entertaining the people. They didn't even anknowledge the crowds estince. Not once did they interact with us, when the concert got over they all blew the fans off, with out a second though. All the other bands shoke hands and told us thanks for coming out and supporting them, gived autographs and even some free cheap merchindice. It was really cool. Made you feel like you didn't waste your 13 dollars.

Meh, oh well. No use complaining about it... But personally I would rather have a small but very loyal and devoted fan base (Think Mindless Self Indulgence... God their fans are awsome) against having 1 million fans. Meh...

A prime example of a band that has a cult following of sorts is Mindless Self Indulgence. Everytime I seen them live, I see the same people almost. I was talking to some fans at the concert who seen them play 12 times in the past month. Thats devotion, espically when you count in the fact that MSI was on a NATIONAL tour. And for a band that to my knowledge gets no airplay on Radio or MTV, everyone knows about them.

Meh.

Limp Bizkit older stuff is/was good because it was a style of music i greatly enjoyed at the time and there wasn't a bad song on the whole CD in my opinion. I had 3 copies of it Its a shame on what they have become.

Most of the music on my computer is from no name garage bands and man, some of them have more talent in thier finger nail than most of the radio bands do in their whole bodies.
