All our powercuts come during late in the evening. The last one we had cut my surfing off at about 1 O'Clock.

Now I'd probably play some ROMs...

Love my laptop

We'd be safe if we could shut all borders and close all airports. That's not going to happen in our commercial world though. I wonder if the world will sue the airlines if everyone dies.

If it's anything like Half Life Source, the models for NPCs, players and other objects look exactly the same as the original. The environments look the same as well.

However, the water effects have clearly been enhanced, and probably a few other things will probably have been touched up too.

The remastering of Half Life is nothing like the remastering of CS. CS has been completely updated, graphically.

When I make my pizza, I eat it straight out of the oven. It's usually still to hot to eat, so I eat the crusts first. I also like to save the best to last, so the highest concentration of topping is always saved 'till last.

The worry is that the virus will mutate to allow human to human contraction. If bird-flu were to become as easily contractible as standard flu, then it would be a disaster.

AIDS, relatively, is not that easy to contract.

I haven't posted Reading's line up this year... I'm not going because I have no money, and there isn't one of my "must watch" bands on the line-up. I know you're skin me alive for saying that with the likes of Maiden, but we're talking "see if it makes me bankrupt"

My brother pays the bills, or at least he used to. A fast connection used to be very important to him when he used to play MOHAA every night. His clan won the european title for the realism mod a year ago. He still plays, but most of his time is spent on WoW instead of MOHAA.

It's still worthwhile for him though. Him and 9 other friends shared £300 of MOHAA prize money from the I series LAN weekend earlier this year. Bastard

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that "Sonic3.jpg" is from the X-Box, as it is siginficantly higher quality than the other two. I'd wager that's because the X-Box is using composite instead of RF.

RF is the worst way you can connect your hardware to a television, even if it is using original Sega cables. It's the oldest technology available.

My Saturn uses a relatively new SCART connection and I can get a relatively fine picture. Sure, it's not crystal clear as on an emulator, but that's being rendered in pixel perfect form on a monitor. Until HDTV becomes more popular, this is a problem that will stay with the console / TV arrangement.

Other than that, I can imagine that the X-Box and the Saturn have more sophisticated imaging hardware than the megadrive. It's got to translate that digital image into an analogue signal that the TV can interpret. Improving this would be extremely difficult, and I've never had a problem with the quality of image produced with any generation of Megadrive or Saturn when using decent cables.
If you don't like playing Sonic the way it's always been played, for over a decade, just use an emulator.

The UK seems to be famous for bad food in the US. We have plenty very delicious delicacies if people are willing to look. Fish and Chips seems to be the most famous, but my favorite that is famous for coming from a specific place in the UK is definately the Bakewell Tart

Also, a lot of british people find it funny how many people from America think that Yorkshire Pudding is served as desert

In England, it's not as rainy as it's famous for. The English just complain about it more than anyone else

It's very strange that they didn't bundle SoR with the western versions, that game had much more fans over here than the western bundled games... That's a huge disappointment

This isn't so much a regional misconception as a linguistic difference. American English generally defines "pudding" specifically as the sugary milk-based dessert class of foods.

Actually, when prepared properly, Fish and Chips is actually relatively healthy. Fish in any food makes for a good diet, anyway.

As for the Yorkshire Pudding, well you'd be right in saying that pudding means the same thing here. The name comes from tradition, where Yorkshire Pudding originated from harder and poorer times. It's basically made up from leftovers and called that to make it seem less like a substitute for more expensive food. These kind of stories fascinate me. It's interesting to find out exactly where all the food we eat today comes from, and why it became popular in the first place. In that case, British food easily makes a claim as some of the most richest and most interesting food in the world.
