| Ladies and gentlemen, time's up and heeeeeere we go!!! "Kat-U!" The four travellers froze. There was an eerie silence following. Then, Buko said suddenly, "Well, THAT was sure a strange silence! Fear not, my groupies, it was merely the mating call of a wild Goonie. ...Or was that it's joy song? I always get those two mixed up... Hang on." Buko, a Shy Guy dressed like a native hunter, fiddles with a book labeled "All You Kneed to Know About 99 Kinds of Birds". Then, "Kat-U!" "Whoa, there it is again, and that time it was shrill!" Buko says, enthusiastically. "Master Buko," the little apprentice Shyguy, Kirkyl, says to his teacher as he tugs his arm, "Isn't that it's Get-Out-Of-My-Territory call?" "Hang on, almost there," Buko says without looking up. Fritz and Ritz, a Hammer Bro. and a Fire Bro. respectively, talk amongst themselves. "Y'know, mate, there's an eerie saylence unda' 'dese clouds..." "Roger. An' I gotta gut feelin' that the kid's go' it made, sunnie." "Roger. Trust the kid, betcha... My gut's scraymin the sayme thing, I'll teel ya." Suddenly "KAT-U!!" Buko looks up and finds the source of the noise. "Look everybody! A wild Goonie, perched on that there tree limb!" They find the Goonie. It's a white, cartoony-looking bird, and immediately after they spot it it begins screaming, "KAT-U! KAT-U! KAT-U!" The four members of a once peaceful safari expedition huddle into a tight group as the air suddenly becomes FILLED with the little white birds called Goonies. All that can be heard from every angle is the merciless, shrill cry of, "KAT-U! KAT-U! KAT-U!" "Uh, stay calm!" Buko tells the group. "Master Buko, what did we do to make 'em mad?" Kirkyl askes the leader. Fritz pipes up with the answer. "We stepped inta their territ'ry, that's whu' we deed!" "Ba'tle f'mation! Now!" Ritz calls. "We can't fight ALL of them, you idiot!" Kirkyl replies. And the whole time, "KAT-U! KAT-U! KAT-U!" Suddenly, the enormous flock whisks away, and all that are left are four. The four Goonies stare slyly at the intruders, and it is immediately noticed about them that they are quite different from each-other. One is just like any Goonie is expected to look, but one of them has shiny azure feathers, one of them is VERY fat, and one of them is a Skeleton Goonie. Buko steps forward, holding his spear and sheild in front like a hunter. "Leave us alone, kindly birds, and we will go by unharmed." The Goonies don't listen. Immediately the Normal one takes off like a guided missile, beak outstretched, and attempts to jab at the Spear Guy's mask, right between the eyes. Buko is just barely able to hold his shield up in time, and the Goonie goes glancing off. But now the other 3 are attacking at the same time! The Skeleton Goonie drops altitude and begins crusing an inch above the ground, straight for Buko. The Banzai Goonie rolls into a ball, revs up like Sonic the Hedgehog, and rolls quick as lightning toward the entire group. The Water Goonie begins flying wide circles around the whole group, shooting comressed jets of high-speed water at the members. This doesn't hurt very many of them too badly, until Ritz is nailed in the eye. "Yew'll pay, bastard! All a' you'll pay!" "That's it! We'll have to fight them, all four of 'em!" Buko calls as the Skeleton Goonie closes in. The thing is going fast enough to pierce right through that shield of his, but at the last second Buko jabs his Spear into the Goonie-- and the darned thing loses it's wings! It begins scurrying along the ground, FAST, and pecking Buko randomly, who's not fast enough to track and block it. Kirkyl stops it's reign with a low slide-kick. The injured skeleton bird darts away from the fighters and begins concentrating, it seems. "What's it doing? I'll stop it," Kirkyl says as he begins chasing it. Meanwhile, the Water Goonie has had a productive time slowly whittling away Fritz and Ritz's HP, moreso Ritz as it's weakened by water, with jets of water from every angle-- that is, until Fritz's thrown Hammers finally connect. One Hammer knocks it out of the sky, stunning it. Ritz tries to close in and engulf it in a fireball, but Fritz stops him. "Ritz, up abahve! Get the heyll ou'ta here!" The Banzai Goonie has turned it's Spin Dash-similar technique into a flying bombardment from above, and is about to crush Ritz like a pancake. Ritz tries to dodge but the fatty Goonie smashes his foot. Ritz trips and isn't able to get up right away, giving the Water Goonie time to recover. "Stay dowhn, ya lewney!" Fritz calls, throwing a Hammer at the recovering Water Goonie. It connects and the Water Goonie falls to minimal vitality, and immediately after the Normal Goonie (who's been having a stalemate with Buko's shield), strikes Fritz in the back of the head. "Ah! Frui'y burd..." Fritz mumbles. The Banzai Goonie has bounded up into the air again, and is on his way down to finish off Ritz, Buko pushes Ritz out of the way at the last second and the fatty bird smashes a crater into empty ground. Meanwhile, Kirkyl has been chasing the ground-borne Skeleton Goonie like a madman, but the crazy thing is just too quick. It isn't too long before it's wings grow back and it takes to the air. "What the! How'd it do THAT??" The Skeleton Goonie starts divebombing Kirkyl. It strikes Kirkyl at a high speed two times, and on the 3rd time down the Shyguy intercepts it with a shoulder barge. Once again, the little bone bird loses it's wings, and begins racing around. "Fritz and Ritz! I could use some HELP, here!" Fritz hears the call. "Com'ng, mate! Ritz, go an' help ouht the kid o'er there." Ritz runs as fast as possible, but with a crushed foot it's hard. As he's running over to Kirkyl, the Normal Goonie tries divebombing him since he's singled out. Ritz blasts the white bird with a cloud of hot flame, and the Goonie withdraws for a while. Ritz notices the Skeleton Goonie running everywhere, and as he watches as the thing grows it's wings back. While Ritz and Kirkyl deal with the Skeleton Goonie, the Normal one flies back to Buko and Fritz. Buko has struck the water Goonie with his spear and KO'd it, but right after that the Banzai Goonie lands right on him. He's quick, and holds his sheild above him... Yeah, like THAT's gonna make any difference... Though the Banzai Goonie doesn't utterly crush him, Buko still recieved heavy damage. "We gotta put a stop to that fatty bird's bouncing. NOW," Buko tells Fritz. "Can do, mate! Keep that li'tle burd at bay an' it's a go." As if on cue, the Normal Goonie is found on a divebomb course with Fritz. Buko jumps up and holds his shield up to block it, but the Goonie does something unexpected. He stops 5 feet away from Buko, just like that, and claps his wings forward, shooting an air blast into Buko. The blast doesn't hurt him much, but it sends him careening into Fritz, who was TRYING to aim a Hammer at the Banzai Goonie, and they both fall to the ground, shocked and stunned. "Frootcake! What 'icha do THAT for!?" " *groan* " And with that, the Banzai Goonie slams into the two of them. Buko is KO'd, being hit twice in a row, and Fritz is half-crushed and can't move. The Normal Goonie flies back over to Ritz and Kirkyl, who have finally KO'd the Skeleton Goonie. Immedately when approaching, Ritz shoots fireballs straight into it, and it crash-lands nearby. Kirkyl finishes it off with a high, acrobatic head-slam from above, and the Normal Goonie is KO'd. "That leaves one left!" Kirkyl says. "Always knew ya 'ad a hard head, mate," Ritz says to him as they high-five. They run over to the Banzai Goonie, and as soon as they do there's an unnoticed, spooky yellow glow in the fallen Skeleton Goonie's eyes as it's body begins to move... At the same time, the Banzai Goonie crushes Fritz, KOing him. It lands on the ground, staring hostiley at Kirkyl and Ritz. There is a pause, then they engage each-other. The Banzai Goonie revs up into a ball for a long time, spinning like wildfire. Ritz tries shooting fireballs at it, but they're reflected in random directions against the spinning surface of the bird. "Out of the way, Ritz! I can stop him with a shoulder barge!" "'er ou'ta yer mind!" "Trust me. It KO'd my teacher, and now it must pay." Ritz respectfully stands aside as Kirkyl gets ready for a seemingly impossible defense... As soon as the Banzai Goonie charges in a full-out roll, something attaches to Kirkyl's foot. "EH?" It's the Skeleton Goonie, on the ground with no wings-- minimal vitality! It was KO'd but it rose again! The bony bird had distracted Kirkyl JUST long enough for the Banzai Goonie to slam into him, KOing him in one hit. "Bu' I finished you! How'gha-- what--" Ritz had temporarily forgotten that Kirkyl was actually the one who made the finishing blow on the Skeleton Goonie, not Ritz. Since it wasn't a fire attack, it didn't destroy him for good. Now Ritz is the only one left against 2 Goonies-- one big and fat, one made of bones. In desperation, Ritz pulls from his pocket a flower... Fire Flower, to be more presice. He brought it just in case he needed it, and by golly he did! The flower blows huge fireballs all over the arena, and several of them slam into the two Goonies. The Skeleton Goonie is KO'd a second time and falls for good, becoming ashes, but the Banzai Goonie still has quite a bit of HP left. The Banzai Goonie begins rolling into a ball again. Ritz tries a few fireballs, but when they're reflected he remembers, "Aw yeah, I can't 'urt it now." The foe Goonie begins his fast rolling attack toward Ritz. Ritz has to be FAST to dodge this attack, but he can't because of his lame foot, and trips. The Banzai Goonie rolls right over him, and KOs him. The winner of this battle is Katu Katu!. By now it's nighttime, and the Banzai Goonie flaps his wings super fast to get in the air and rejoin the flock. Epilouge: "So, X2R, how did you-- Kat-U!-- fninsh off the intruders?" a fellow flock member calls to the Banzai Goonie that had felled every single one of the safari explorers an hour ago. "Simple. Mind over matter." "Ah. Kat-U!" "But I didn't kill any of them." "NO?" "Of course not. Kat-U! In fact, I summoned some medics to pick them up an hour ago." "Kat-U! Summoned?" "That's-- Kat-U!-- right. I summoned some Paratroopas to pick them up." "Traitor! Kat-U! Get 'im, guys!" At once, the whole Goonie flock starts pelting X2R from every side. But they all glance off of him, and a few seconds later the Banzai Goonie pulls his wings to his sides and he falls like a stone beneath the clouds. After 5 minutes of falling, he hits something. Two black, feathered hands reach out and grab the sphere-like bird. It's Raphael the Raven! "Hello, child. What brings you here?" "Aw, Raphael... Kat-U! It's a pleasure to meet you. My flock has turned against me for showing mercy." "And what would you like me to do?" "Well... Kat-U! If it's... not too much to ask..." And from that day on, X2R has been Raphael's close friend... and apprentice. So! Katu-Katu won. Good call, Chill Penguin, to only bet 5 coins, and good call Darkflight for switching sides! dragon master bet the max amount and he's rich for now with nearly 100 coins... Well, it WAS fair... I'm standing by Buko here who has just come out of the hostpital for a week. Buko, how was the match like? "It was fine, it was fine. Bo-bio-hu." Eh? What was that last part? Kirkyl, was that the Shyguy language? "Yes, he just told you to quit your day job." *technical difficulties* And here are the coin results so far! Raccoon_86 + 15 APH Striker + 30 MarioMaster + 5 marionuthead + 10 Xeodious + 20 dragon master + 90 Roy + 30 Fettster + 20 Chill Penguin + 45 Yoshi Dude + 10 ---------------- Baby Bowser = EVEN Cheveyo = EVEN AmIBored = EVEN ---------------- Lizard King - 10 Peardian - 25 Shadic - 50 Kamek77 - 10 RYjet911 - 50 Darkflight - 20 Xeomega - 10 (might be Xeodius, correct me if it is) Fettster - 15 And now... ladies and gentlemen, one of the biggest most important battles of all time... Special Edition Boss Fight!! Battle #05:  West side: Hamma Resistance Force -Hammer Bro. -Boomerang Bro. -Wheel Bro. -Lightbender Bro. Just like against the Goonies, the Hammer Bro. has a high Attack Power, medium Defense, above average HP and below average Speed. It throws hammers to attack, which lob in the air before hitting. It has a minimum-range and a maximum range, and since it's only a medium-range attacker the Hammer Bro. does poorly on it's own, but superb when supporting a team, because dodging a hammer in the middle of chaos is hard. The Boomerang Bro. is just like the Hammer Bro. except it's Attack Power is lower and it's Defense is higher. He throws Boomerangs, which go straight in one direction for a ways then curve backward slowly and return to the Boomerang Bro. This allows the Boomerang Bro. to score multiple hits on the foe. The Wheel Bro. has a tiny bit lower Attack than a Hammer Bro. but his Speed is a tad higher. He attacks by throwing wheels along the ground, and these ground-only projectiles do damage and can throw the foe off balance. The Lightbender Bro. has low Attack power, high Speed, but HP and Defense are the same as a Hammer Bro. It attacks with light-- His main attack is a white ball of energy that hits a foe for low damage, but he can also cause strobelight effects to blind the foe, solar rays to burn foes, and many more things. Though he's a stylish fighter, he's not too powerful or good at offensive combat. East side: Last of the Koopas -Iggy Koopa (with Magic Wand, Power Sphere and the Staff of Iggy) -Ludwig Koopa (with Magic Wand and Bill Bazooka) Iggy and Ludwig have GREAT stats, because they are Boss Enemies. Iggy has an above-average Attack and Defense, VERY high Speed and high HP. His main weapon is the Magic Wand, which fires a bolt of energy similar to the Magikoopa's attack but can overheat. He also attack with the Power Sphere, a red sphere with a star on it (used in SMW) that rolls, bounces, or flies at enemies when thrown, in the maneuver Iggy wishes. It is a pretty fast attack but not as strong as the Wand. Lastly, Iggy can bring out the Staff of Iggy to battle, a quarterstaff that attacks like the wind and is perfect for combos. Ludwig has a VERY high Attack power, above average Defense, high HP but below average Speed. He, too, uses the Wand, which is stronger than Iggy's Wand but overheats faster. Instead of Magikoopa blasts, it fires rings of concentrated energy at the foe. Ludwig's only other weapon is the Bill Bazooka, a shoulder cannon for firing TONS of things-- Bullet Bills, Bob-Ombs, Koopa Shells, sludge... There may be more, but it is uncertain... However, the Bill Bazooka has limited ammo of everything except for Bullet Bills. There is a 1UP Mushroom with them that'll restore a small amount of HP to the first one of them to hit minimal vitality. (Yes, the 1UP Mushroom isn't very good in this case.) What to keep in mind: The Koopa Underlings are revolting! No, not as in disgusting, as in The Great Koopa Revolution! Several Hammer Bro. variations have begun to storm the multiple Castles and Airships populating the Mushroom Kingdom. This is merely one of those battles. Last of the Koopas consists of the last 2 Koopa Kids in condition to fight, as the other 5 have been KO'd by other Hammer Bro. troops. They defend Bowser's Castle from a small horde of Hammer Bros. that make up Hamma Resistance Force. It is foggy outside the castle walls, providing some means of cover for the Hammer Bros. Hamma Resistance Force is going to try and sneak around the Catle Walls to the back entrance, but Last of the Koopas will halt them and a fight will break out. If the Resistance Force wins, they'll immediately contact Base, which will alert every Hammer Bro. in the revolt to storm Bowser's Castle at the same time. If they lose, the other Koopa Kids will have enough time to heal and turn the chess game around. This sole battle determines the fate of Bowser's Kingdom. But either way, I promise there will be a happy ending.  Correct bets for this battle are worth triple the coins. Notices: -Tournament on Battle #10. Svae up those coins, they're useful during the tournament! -Coming soon: Neutral enemies in battles! They will attack both teams. -Maybe coming soon: 3 way battles, on very rare occasions. | Schwa walks up and pockets the Elevator Key. "Now it's off to the city! Uh-oh, wait a sec..." For some reason, Schwa's psychic senses are telling him he shouldn't go yet. Schwa heads back to the main entrance, Solaris sitting confortably on his shoulder. He stops when he sees a third door in the main room. "Never saw THAT before... With half my stamina missing, it's a risk, but hey, there could be a healing item in there! Solaris, what should I do? Elevator, or that door?" Solaris answers, "Take-- the-- door." Schwa nods. "You got it, friend. Door it is!" Schwa is proud of Solaris, because English isn't his first language-- Chao is. He heads for the other door he never explored before. "This IS a factory... Perhaps I will soon find the inner workings. Hmm..." |

| "Quick, Ami is upstairs." Schwa half-glides toward the stairs, and looks up the stairwell. Ami is still standing there, crying, but now she's mumbling something as well... Schwa tries reading her mind and POW! Immediately a psychic energy backlash strikes him and he falls over. "Ouchouchouchouchouch!" Holding his head, he tries to get back up, but his strength is drained. "Ami... You sure have a powerful mind! I ain't trying THAT again!" |

| Surprisingly, Ami does ideed talk to Nimue. Her voice is half-monotone, though. "Hi Nimue... Shino Shadefoot killed Jansen Cabralitas after Schwa summoned a Battle Badger and a Bio Grizzly and an Air Elemental to fight him... He killed Jansen Cabralitas but I also saw a part of myself die." Meanwhile, Schwa is wobbling around, trying to find Korra as fast as possible but having difficulty. |

| "Whoa, a glowing sphere... Lemme scan that real quick." In only a few second's time, Schwa psychically scans the object, transferrs the data to Sensae, and gets a readout back from him. "A healing item. Oh God, I need that so bad! I hope I don't set off a booby trap, but risks are just sometimes necessary." Schwa approaches and pulls the sphere out of the felled bot's hands, then tries to absorb it's healing energies. "How does this work?" |

| Schwa stands still for a moment, enjoying the temporary satisfaction of the healing. He contacts Sensae. "Schwa here. Found a major conspiricy. Investigating. Be with me, Sensae. Schwa out." Sensae smiles from far away as Schwa heads back to the elevator, inserts the Key, and begins his decent into the abyss... Solaris clutches Schwa's shoulder, unnerved, and Schwa lightly squeezes his Chao in a comforting manner. "Be brave, Solaris... If you get hurt, you can always travel back to your home dimmension. It's okay..." But Schwa is a little nervous himself. |

| Thanks for the compliments, but let it be known that I am, in no way, a God, but I have been infused with a touch of Oracle, which is almost as good. Ask Zerodius, he'd know. The Hyrule kingdom is going along very slowly. It's difficult to get the enemies just the way I want them. (I design area-dewlling enemies to be a perfect match for the player by the time he reaches a certain level... In this case, Fiyro should be level 10 and Mario at least 9 by the time you reach Kingdom 2.) And to Zerodius, part of the storyline is displayed in the first post of the thread. The rest I keep secret so I don't spoil anything important. |

| Don't forget about sidequests! I COULD put Lugia as a sidequest... fight him and you get a cool attack. I hope I'm not keeping you guys bored, so how 'bout a little info on the party members? Spoiler: The order of party members that join your party are Mario, then Link, Kirby, followed by Dr. Wily, Metal Sonic as an optional character, and finally Pommy (from the Bomberman series). Since you can only have 4 party members max in the party, there are Swap Houses all over the game where you can store and swap out different allies and pick them up at any other swap house in the game. Your party members will play a vital part on overworld progress, not just in battle. Mario is the only one who can hit ? Blocks on the map, Link can use items such as the Hookshot or Hammer on the map w/ the same reactions as in Lttp, Kirby uses the abilities he learned from enemies and Copy Hats to change the overworld (fire = light fuses for cannons, cutter = cut ropes holding platforms, just like in KSS), Dr. Wily can fix machinery and put together Metal Sonic when you find all his pieces, Metal Sonic doesn't have an ovw ability but he's an optional sidequest-obtained character and he's a fighting machine, and Pommy uses Pokemon moves such as Cut, Surf, Flash, etc. to progress through obsticles just like in the Pokemon series. I put it in a Spoiler Tag in case you want to be surprised. Note that I may change this later on. |

| OOC: Details such as "Bel suddenly warped in through so-and-so," or "Suddenly, so-and-so happened, as Bel appeared", or something along those lines would've been nice. Everything must have a reason. But it's too late now, and I'm flexible, so... The Chao suddenly starts acting crazy. "Cha cha cha!!!" Schwa feels a touch of anxiety jolt through him... Solaris has a knack for detecting trouble. "What is it, Solaris? Tell me." "P-- Poi-- son." "What!? Poison!? Who's poisoned!?" Solaris taps himself, Schwa and Bel very quickly. "I'll fix that. Bel, this may hurt... Status Purge!" (echo effects) As Schwa uses his move, a powerful electric shock affects all 3 characters, damaging them but removing status conditions. "Wow... Yes, I sure felt different a moment ago now that I think about... Ugh, I don't... feel so well... Feel weakened..." Schwa tries standing up, but wobbles backward and slams back-first into the mountain wall. He then loses his cookies a few times, then falls to the ground, half-unconscious. What happened was that the poison was lodged heavily in Schwa's right arm, where the Living Assets in him are contained. By removing the poison, he weakened the Living Assets in him, weakening himself at the same time. (It's like trying to remove Spyware lodged in the registery files.) Bel shouldn't be nearly as bad as Schwa is, but either way their journey off Everest is currently delayed. |

| "Whoa! Dodge, Solaris!" Schwa and Solaris dodge in opposite directions... The resulting Hard Man hitting the elevator could easily create a hole in the small platform. And at the same time, Schwa gets a great idea. He thinks, "I could easily turn the Magnet guy's powers against his allies. Let's try this..." "Sunbeam of the Desert Sentinel!" (echo effects) Schwa holds his palms together and out flies a large orange/gold energy beam that consistantly flies out of the hands. He sweeps it into MagnetMan to try and envelop him. This beam is known to multiply any forms of energy. Should the beam connect, it'll cause MagentMan's energy source to constantly increase in power until it overloads, as long as the beam stays enveloped over the bot. Schwa's plan isn't to overload MagnetMan's energy source; judging from his battles, these bots are too advanced to have that kind of a weakness, at least not easily exploitable. Schwa is trying to force MagnetMan to use his power, pulling HardMan in at a fast speed, which (hopefully) should crush MagnetMan and/or throw HardMan and/or MagnetMan off the platform. Schwa doubts the magnetism would have any effect on him, since he's not made of metal. But one never knows... |

This is an 18 inch long knife, with two blades... a long, curved blade sticking straight out, and a "tooth" curved inward right under the long blade. The knife looks like a shark's open mouth when viewed from the side. Tuxydon, holding Kirby and Cyberaptor with one hand, takes the knife with the other and whirls it round and round below him. Within 7 seconds it has managed to spin so fast it's a blur, and a whirlwind forms around the three falling characters. "This should cushion the landing. It always has for me." |

| Schwa senses electriciy behind him, in high volumes. "Yipe! Take this!" Schwa fires an energy blast from his hands to the 1st Spark Man's head (if it hits, medium damage) to try and prevent him from charging any further. Solaris attacks with a spinning dive from the air, whirling like a drill as he plummets toward the second Spark Man's head. Because of his Pheonix wings, a connecting blow will cause a small burst of embers (and medium damage, almost as strong as Schwa's attack). (Solaris isn't very powerful as far as Attack Power is concerned.) |
