That's what laptops are for. But the PS2's a good cause for sure. |

Originally posted by Anya Hear, Hear! Although I'm beginning to be severely tempted by the games that M$ has been producing as of late. As for Kotor, it's been called the finest Star Wars game ever made by some of my friends, but I never got into it. Instead, I have another relation to make: Bugs suck. It was a year after I actually beat Final Fantasy IX that I got to see the ending cutscenes. I didn't even get to beat the final boss with my unstoppable party or anything, I had to watch a friend do it. That's so incredibly disheartening, that I can't watch my hard work pay off. Ah, well. Such is life sometimes. |

But already the hammer is back in action, as Janus attempts to smack the missle away from himself. Rather than a direct hit by the missile, Janus is instead thrown against a tree by the sheer force of the missile's blast. He struggles to his feet, dizzy from the surprising power Shadow's last attack showed. Though he refuses to show it in his actions, Janus' wounds are beginning to add up... Janus: "Grr, what the hell was that? Homing missiles..... An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, I guess..." Janus suddenly swings his hammer, and the green Materia attached to it activates! Janus draws the blue Elemental Materia from his pocket and hooks that to his bag, as well. The hammer becomes enveloped in currents of electricity, and it's obvious what Janus has done to power up his melee attacks. "Shadow, though only a common standalone attack, Lightning elemental techniques are, to say the least, a very jolting experience for those who are hit by them, if I can use a pun. If you're hit by my hammer while it's charged with this electricity, I can guarantee you're in for a shock!" Janus leaps at Shadow, brandishing his newfound electrical weapon! |

So scary. SS, we also have to read three books over the summer and, depending on your grade, you'll either get feminist garbage (which I actually like reading sometimes), inspirational garbage, just plain old garbage, or good books (that's my grade). When I was in AP history I had to do the same thing as Toxic, read some chapters in a book and do some assignments on them. It's really not so bad actually. AP history is one of the most straightforward AP classes. While not the easiest (that honor is reserved for AP english, which is the reason why it's not offered at our school), it's definitely something you can get a grip on if you just pay attention. And now that I've lost everyone's attention with my ramblings, what're our high school members taking next fall anyway? I've signed up for Calculus 2 AP, Physics 2 AP (but I know I won't be able to handle it so I'm switching out), English 12 honors, and Psychology AP, as well as advanced band. I'm kinda worried that I won't be able to hack it this year because of all the hard classes I'm taking, but I'm still pretty confident about it. |

Ha, I love the Simcity games, 3000's my favorite (it's the only one I've ever actually done well in). Also isn't there a program for Simcity that allows you to search for your hometown online and download a map of it according to government zoning? I read about that once, and I figure it'd be pretty cool to see what the government sees my town as. As far as boredom goes, I just open up Kazaa and watch download bars fill. I have no clue why I do this, but whenever I'm downloading something I just can't help but watch the bar fill up. |

Clones of me? I'm honored. I too would like to sign up for a fight. However, I have a few questions first. One, how many characters am I allowed to control at a time? Two, in Professional Endurance mode, can I set the difficulty ratio of minor bosses? And Three, in Long game mode, can I raise the number of clones from 100 to 150 or something? I've got a pretty good idea for a WACK-A-CLONE fight, but it'd require some effort on your part which I'd be glad to help you with. |

Classic game? Yeah, Zelda's ok, but it's really tough to beat River City Ransom EX. It's so funny! Not a long game at all, but very good for what you get, and it's got good replay value. If not that, then definitely Zelda, since you say it's your favorite.

Yes, but what you seemed to be doing was just looking at the bad parts of Asperger's, that of the "diminished" social skills. If Schwa's lot in life has benefited from it, then good for him, but the problem with relating an experience is that that experience isn't the same as anyone else's. However, you were right. I was too hasty in my response, and I'll try to better see your side of the situation when next it comes up.

From what I saw, Sonic X also seemed to have a new art style as well, closer to the Sonic Adventure art styles rather than the old Sonic the Hedgehog styles, which just reinforces the fact that it's based off of SA. Big the Cat's in it too (or he was in the pilot anyway). And as for a Sonic Adventure 3, Sonic Heroes is more or less the same thing, it's just that plot wise it stems off from the SA plotline. I agree that Sega should try to continue the SA plot and make it into something interesting, but they have a lot to work on in refining the game formula first.

An eye for an eye, Grey always says. He rushes to the Ogre and beats it fiercely, hoping to assist Kirby ATW in his struggle.

As he cannot see Shadow, Janus instead reverts his hammer to bag form, sits down, and takes another disc out of his bag. He is clearly looking to end this fight, and is now visibly exhausted. His eyes glow blue for a second, and he can be heard mumbling as he studies the disk. Janus: "A gun, some gun, any gun at all will do.... Please give me a gun!" The disk breaks open, and in Janus' hands sits a small pistol, metallic in color, with a black grip on the handle. A .50 caliber Desert Eagle, c/o Half-Life: Counter-Strike, complete with three clips of ammunition. Janus is once again dismayed, but hopeful. ".....It'll do. Not an automatic weapon, and certainly not enough to stand up against that rifle, but powerful if I can create the correct conditions." Janus stands up and removes the two Materia from his bag. Their glow is reduced to a mere glimmer, and Janus sighs before considering his next move. As he walks around, between trees and in search of Shadow, he speaks. "Shadow, I do not wish to do what I am about to do. My next attack is one of my strongest, and I'm afraid of what may happen to my surroundings if I manage to pull it off. Consider this your last chance to give up, or call this match a draw. It's your choice." Janus stands still, and waits for his opponent's response. (edited by Grey on 07-14-04 10:04 PM) |

Kitten Yiffer: Hardly, I played it. It wasn't too bad, some neat weapons and stuff, good plot. But I just can't go wtih anything other than RA2. What I'm more surprised at is that nobody's voted for Generals yet... Was it that bad? I liked it. |

Originally posted by Kyouji Craw ...But when it's used against me I just smack it and watch my opponent fly away, then meteor smash him to hell in a handbasket. I'm sure if I stopped winning because they were used against me I'd learn them, but when they're used against me they're not all that effective. In other news, there's an SSBM tournament going on at my local mall. I've decided to enter with Valcion as my partner. But the thing is, I don't know how to counter any of the moves used by characters he doesn't use (since all of my training is against him). Anyone got any suggestions on what I should expect from people who have less of a life than me when it comes to this game? |
