I made a small RPG with JAVA. ![]() The RPG Makers are pretty good programs, but alot more things are possible now that there's RPG Maker XP, so I say that it can be a very good software. However, there are many things which were not possible, or harder to make, with the older RPG Makers. If you know what you're doing and you don't expect to make the greatesr game in history, you can accomplish something rather decent with RPG Maker. RPG Advocate made an english crack, but it still has the aunthentification on it, so it's pretty useless unless you buy the japanese full version. There was another incomplete crack posted by someone at rmxp.net a while ago, but the link was removed from that site. Besides that there were two other english cracks released today, and there's also the french crack which has been complete for a while now. There's also translations in other languages which are in progress at the moment.Originally posted by Sephiroth7231121 That is correct. It shouldn't be too hard to find a crack now anyway. Just use google and search, or you can wait for ||bass' translation, which should be pretty reliable. (edited by Jack-Al on 08-28-04 09:08 PM) |

My computer takes about 30 seconds to load up with Windows XP. It goes a little slower sometimes, but most of the time it will take 30 seconds or less. My old computer takes about two minutes to load with Windows 98, but that's mostly because my dad installed a bunch of programs which all open when Windows loads up. |

beautiful. I was going to go see Hero in theaters today, but for some reason I won't be seeing it today. I might go next weekend. It does look good though, but it doesn't look like alot of the other chinese movies I've seen. Oh well, in short time I will see. |

He did say that it would be complete after two days two weeks ago, but have patience, I'm sure he'll post an update on it eventually. You can always try to find one of the other translations available through google if you don't want to wait for an update from ||bass.

I'm studying Computer Science. This semester is mostly related to data. I have one course on data structures and another on databases. I also have two other courses: one on systems analasys and another on operating systems. I still have three semesters left after this one, but I am thinking about going into Cinema once I reach University. (edited by Jack-Al on 09-14-04 08:43 PM) |

The only times I got close to falling asleep during a class was in Information System one year ago. The class was very boring and the teach spoke with the same tone during the whole two hours of the class. One of my teachers last year said that he was happy when he saw students sleeping because that's when our short term memories become long term memories. |

Well, Bill Gates made about 4 Billion dollars during the year of 2003, so that gives him about 10,958,904$ per day, 456,621$ per hour, 7610$ per minute, and 126$ per second. Of course those numbers aren't always the same, but they're an estimate, and it's probably very close. Not having a job, it takes me over a month to make 100$, and it takes him less than a second. ![]() |

Final Fantasy Unlimited is a good show. I watched it a few months ago and found it to be pretty interesting. As for this new title, Dirge of Cerberus, it could end up being a good game. I'm pretty sure they will make something good out of it actually. However, some people won't like it as always, but it will probably end up selling over one million copies in North America alone, so it will all be good. |

I haven't played in a while, but I still play it once in a while. I got the Chains of Promathia expansion pack a few days ago, so I'll probably start playing again over weekends.

Since March of 2003, I've made about 14 movies with some of my friends. During the summer of 2003 I made a 40 minute movie called Rise Of The Beast, and now over a year later I finally finished filming the sequel. Anyway, here are two trailers of the movie. The first one is a sneak preview which we released in April of 2004. You can watch it in real player stream here: http://www.teh-ko.com/movies.php?id=11&stream=11 Or, you can download it in WMV format here: http://www.angelfire.com/rebellion2/004/ROTB2_Sneak.wmv The second one is a trailer composed of scenes that will be in the actual movie. Again, it's available in stream here: http://www.teh-ko.com/movies.php?id=12&stream=12 And, you can download it in WMV format from: http://www.angelfire.com/rebellion2/004/ROTB2_Trailer.wmv The WMVs are in better quality than the streams, but the streams make watching the videos alot faster. However, you will need to have Real Player installed to watch the streams. EDIT = You'll have to right-click the links to the WMVs and do "save target as", or else it will just take you to the Angelfire page about direct-linking being not allowed. Originally posted by The_Raven I'll assume you're talking about the Sneak Preview. If that is the case, then yes, it is all at my mom's house, or actually, my dad lives there too. However, if you were talking about the actual trailer (the second video I posted), then it's not all at my mom's house. It doesn't show all of the locations in the trailer itself, but we filmed at my house (my mom's house), my friend's house, a store on Wellington street, a parking lot behind that store, and at other various places around the city. Originally posted by The_Raven I guess I should have mentioned something about these videos earlier. The movie is not an action movie, and it is not a horror movie. The beast (me), wears a crappy mask and a winter coat because he's supposed to look like that. Besides, we don (edited by Jack-Al on 10-04-04 08:36 PM) |

Well, the battles were mostly choreographed right before we filmed them. The problem is that unless you're really good at it, it's never going to look good. I'll probably have to do some additional editing when I get to those parts of the actual movie in order to make the battles look better. Anyway, the song is "Neod |

For the best bad guy, I would go with William Cutting from Gangs of New York. He wasn't pure evil, but he was evil in his own way. Plus, Daniel Day-Lewis played the role very well and made the character very believable. As for the worst bad guy, I would go with the "Fearless Leader", from The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, played by Rober De Niro. The character didn't seem evil at all, and Robert De Niro didn't really make a good German accent. (edited by Jack-Al on 10-07-04 08:34 AM) |

![]() Of course they have McDonalds in Japan. There's even an official McDonalds Japan website. Furthermore, Japan is the second country with the most McDonalds restaurants. The United States has over 12,000 of them, and Japan has over 3000 of them. Canada comes in third place with over 1000 McDonalds. There are McDonalds in over 121 countries worldwide, but only 25 of those countries have 100 or more. (edited by Jack-Al on 10-14-04 09:06 AM) (edited by Jack-Al on 10-15-04 12:28 PM) |

Originally posted by The SomerZ Sorry about that. I was on a site that talked about japan. I didn't notice the picture was from Shanghai though. There's only one McDonald in the part of Montreal that I live in, and all of the workers are students from the neighbouring high school. The food is done too fast, and they often make mistakes. It's even popular among kids to work at McDonalds. I remember someone telling me that he had found a job. When I asked him where, he replied: "McDonalods, of course". It's the same thing with alot of the other McDonalds in Montreal, most of them don't give a very good service. I rarely even go to McDonalds anyway. The only time I go there is when someone else insists on going to eat there. |

I did a little bit of rom hacking a few years ago. It wasn't much really, I never finished a full rom hack or anything like that. I spent most of my time on Earthbound, but then I realised that someone made an editor for it and all that I had done could have been done with the editor in only a few minutes. I worked on a few things after that, but then I stopped rom hacking because I got more interested in programming my own things.

Well if you really hate Sarah Michelle Gellar and are unable to watch a movie because she's in it. You can just watch the Japanese version instead. The actors are japanese, so no Sarah Michelle Gellar! Anyway, I think it will be a good movie. It's directed by Takashi Shimizu, who directed the original Japanese movie, so it should be similar to the original. Plus it's produced by Sam Raimi, and his brother Ted Raimi has a cameo in it! It can't get better than that! I'm going to see it Friday, and I'll decide if it's good or not then. (edited by Jack-Al on 10-20-04 10:57 PM) |

The National Security Strategy of the United States of America written by George W. Bush says that it is a threat. Therefore, it must be! Alot of people didn't even know about Kim Jong IL or North Korea before 2002, but now it's everywhere and everyone knows about North Korea and the evil dictator who wants to attack everyone. I would be very surprised if North Korea did in fact attack the United States or one of it's "allies". However, it is possibly a threat to its neighbouring countries. |

Well it can be a good idea. However, keep in mind that you will have to give something original in order to get people to play your game over other games that already exist. You just have to come up with one thing, something we haven't seen in other MMORPGs so far, and you should be able to get some people to play your game. |
