I think she was referring to stage performances, not musical style.

Anyway, although I can't deny the influence Ozzy has had on the music scene, when it comes down to 'What do I want to listen to today?' I have to go with Ramnstein. I could never get into Ozzy on a musical level.

We don't get an awful lot of girls in my store to be honest, but when we do they tend to be the coolest ones. We had one who bought a Megadrive and five games, one who bought a load of random retro stuff and one who bought Secret of Mana for the SNES.

Best bit about being a 'girl gamer' though has to be working with loads of cool guys and being the only girl XD

She doesn't look a lot like Marlene though. I dunno, I'm still not convinced.

No contest. On a purely personal level Mansun has been the most influence on me while I was growing up. I can't stress enough how much you guys should really check this band out because I absolutly love them. The voice of my adolesence.

The guy I work with really likes them, and they get played over the shop PA a lot. I can't say that its my kinda thing, but I can appreciate the amount of work thats gone into it.

I really love the Black Jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop. I just keep reading and rereading them. I read a bit of Mercedes Lackey as well but apart from the Last Herald-Mage trilogy her work isn;t really dark enough for me. I like a bit of Dragonlance but only the core books, and anything with Dalamar in them, because I'm a sucker for dark elves

I really love the Tamuli, I used it in my shop-floor exercise when I had my interview at Waterstones. I tried reading some of his other stuff though but I couldn't get into it. I might look into 'The Elder Gods' though because that looks pretty interesting.

Right now I'm reading the Banned and the Banished series, but I can't remember the author's name for the life of me.

When I was depressed, I had my initial consultation with a social worker who reffered me to psychotherapy. I never went though because I told her near enough everything, and to do that helped me loads. Because only a stranger could hear everything. There are things I don't tell my friends, other things I don't tell my parents and some things I don't really tell Kasumi. So my advice is to just rant at someone, anyone, and get every tiny thing off your chest. I'm not really on AIM anymore, but if you wanna chat, just PM me and I'll reinstall it.

You do think too much and that makes it a lot worse. I know. Peace of mind will only come when you stop thinking and say 'Yeah, whatever will be will be'. I do it too even though I know I shouldn't. Anyway, I'm here if you need me. Just don't go on anti-depressants or anything, because they're evil things that steal your soul and everything that makes you who you are.

I haven't been to FF,net since they took the NC-17 fics down. There are loads of better places to post your fiction up at. What kinda stuff do you write?

MST *is* Mystery Science Theater, basically it was a show where these guys ripped the shit out of movies and stuff. A MST fic is where you set up your own characters or borrow some (like Dragonlance Science Theater XD ) and make fun out of really bad fanfiction.

Gaming has not changed. Fifteen years ago there were still so many sequels, crappy movie licenses and even sex games. We all see the past through rose-tinted glasses. Yeah the old games are great but thats only because we just ignore the bad ones. No-one's gonna be talking about Driv3r in ten years time.

Personally, I'm hoping it'll be some kind of Vagrant Story-esque game, I think that could suit him a lot. Or possibly something with a Castlevania feel with him running round the mansion. This will make or break Square to a lot of fans I think. I will either fall down and worship them, or curse them.

Anyone got any programs to recommend? WMP is refusing to acknowledge some files so it won't burn them. It'll play them fine but won't add them to the Media Library. And Winamp's CD burner keeps saying that the decoder can't be used.
