| M' brother and I were huge on those damn games...got every last one of 'em for the NES. I remember having hellish problems being the original...went back and played it again a few months ago. That...was easy. M' favourites from ol' skoo' would be 2, 3...and depending on m' mood, I might include 6 in there. |

| The Dark Lord lays there...injured. Dismiss And the clones are gone. No further clones can be summoned/created. Despite injury...the hyper-charge is still in one piece. "This is where it sucks...my friend...I am hastened...you are slowed...and I am immune to slow and stop status. Four shots...to one." Meltdown (as per FFVIII...makes opponent extremely suseptable [sp?] to damage by knocking vitality back to zero) "And it gets worse...." Instead of attacking...the Dark Lord stands up. The hyper-charge mounts higher, and higher. "...and now it ends. You stand here...weakened, with your vitality gone, and no way to counter, or block, or dodge a non-elemental barrier-piercing spell...you know, the type that by-passes magic defense. | I was raised Trekkie, but have recovered from it. Doesn't really matter to me. I like Star Trek's much more realistic [sounding attempts to explain/] explanations as to why what does whatever, and so on. Star Wars has the cool people and weapons. Most of the others...bleh. |

| Off: sorry about m' friend...she's been out for awhile. She told me what to say in her stead. Ace immediately turns and fires an arrow at the trajectory of the one that barely missed him. Not seeing anything, but hearing something very soft running into the woods, on the other side of the road, he jumps into the trees, looking for this archer. Ahzaz-Thraak dashes into the woods to where Bit-Blade and Rillard are. He stops as a cloaked figure, a few inches shorter than him, steps out from behind a tree. The person looks fairly similar to him...and is female. She speaks. "What's this? A Berserker, in this warm of a place?" Ahzaz-Thraak does not look pleased. "This is not your world to claim." "We will do as we are instructed." "Then I instruct you to leave this world." The female chuckles. "Since when, did a servant of the Ever-Reborn take orders...from a Tælon?" Ahzaz-Thraak draws his katanna and decapitates the female in on smooth stroke. Meanwhile, somebody taps Rillard on the shoulder. It's another cloaked figure of this kind. He interlocks his thumbs and spreads his fingers...and out comes a fan of fire onto Rillard (wouldn't be fatal...but doesn't mean it won't hurt). The firelight from that burning hands spell exposed two archers, about 20 ft. off each, for a fraction of a second. Ahzaz-Thraak mutters to himself as he runs to intercept one of them. "Two down...four left...that's six...six...damn...where's the seventh?" |

Rippler (as per FFVI...swap status...basically, stole the hastega and replaced it with nothing) "That's more like it...." The Dark Lord quickly closes in on Jarukoth with a sparkling hand. Once in point blank range.... Prismatic Bolt (variation on prismatic spray. Instead of a wedge, a cylinderical beam about 1 foot across. Can affect only one target. Due to it being such a small beam, all seven rays strike...meaning seperate damage from fire [about at Fira], acid [inbetween 2nd and 3rd degree attack spell], and lightning [about at Thundaga], potential instant kill [surviving it gives seperate poison damage at a 2nd degree strike], and a change at insanity, petrification, or being zapped into a different dimension/plane of existence, each of which be separately negated, or each separately hit) |

| The Dark Lord smiles. "Clever." Safega "Let's see what other fun-fun tricks you employ." The Dark Lord pulls out a snakeskin glove...and throws it. It turns into mystical energy sparkles and sinks into the ground. Bigby's Clenched Fist A giant embodied fist emerges from the ground behind Jarukoth, sockin' him one good. Jarukoth is sent sailing across the arena...relatively towards the Dark Lord. The fist swings at (and likely misses) other folks nearby. |

| "Hmm...fascinating." The Dark Lord rubs his chin in thought. "To fight with an opponent such as you is an honour, and a rare treat. May the best win." He cocks his head to the side. "Okay...we'll try...this." Protective Seal (as per ChronoTrigger...effectively insignificant damage, and destroys status defenses) He turns towards Clockworkz. "And you stay out of this." *very quickly moves towards Clockworkz...once within ten feet* Force Hit (minor damage, sends target sailing...likely out of the ring, and triggers better than 70% of the pain receptors in the target's body) A strange light emerges from the Dark Lord. | The light vanishes. A dwarf stands there...looking at everything. His shield is scarlet and silver. In his weapon hand is an axe...the head of which has a purple glow about it. As the blizzaga goes off above him, he just stands there. A blue glow comes about his shield for a second...turning the spell. He turns suddenly and forcibly blocks the plasma ball with his shield, breaking it apart. "I am Oin, son of Borin, of the Ironbreaker clan, and heir of the Dwarven Crown. I see two foes who would strike at me already...but beware me, for my arm is strong, my armour thick, my shield broad, and my responce fast. I shall show the strength of the Dwarven race..." ...holding up his axe... "...and the power of Durin's Axe." *muttering to self* "...and how crappy my speeches are." He dashes *very quickly*, blindingly for a dwarf. He whirls about and strikes Clockworkz cleanly with the axe in the torso, and again, landing the second blow in the side, just below the ribcage. |

Off: points at profile.  No hard feeelings intended.The Dwarf stays on Clockworkz. He seems quite surprised about the power suit, and about being ignored like that. "Hmm..." The Dwarf whirls the axe about for a bit. The glow about it intensifies, and a crystal spike appears on the axe, pointing doing the blade. The Dwarf slashes down across the chest of Clockworkz using the spike. A gash appears in the power suit, not clear to the skin, but a gash just the same. The cystal spike shatters. The Dwarf has at Clockworkz, striking in the gash hard, whirling about and striking his opponent in the left armpit, and the last strike is a hard downward chop about the center of Clockworkz's head. |

| Off: yeah, you can still block the headshot. EDIT: I have no idea about the power suit's specs; the technique used there can cut, scratch or gouge the greater majority of things; there's gonna be at least a scratch, you decide depth. The Dwarf still stands there, carbon scoring on his shield, greeves, and a dab of blood at the nose. "Hmm...." The Dwarf notes LK and Jarukoth all tangled up. He starts running over there...then the thundara hits. "Aiiee...no. Different plan." He starts whirling his axe about. Nothing happens...until one looks up. A swarm of small razor-sharp crystals float aloft, pointed at the tangled fighters. A more definate swing hurls the crystals at the tangled targets, who get struck from head to toe by the shards (earth-elemental attack). (edited by Oin Ironbreaker on 03-26-04 10:17 PM) |

| The Dwarf instantly whirled about. He tried to block the incoming spell...didn't get all of it. The Dwarf is blasted at a semi-downward angle, ripping up topsoil for about ten feet. He gets up, irritated. "That...madamoiselle...was less-than-ladylike." He whirls his axe about a few times, hissing sibilantly. Hastega The Dwarf runs up, closing the gap between the two. |

| I'd probably use it to fly, for mobility (vampiric transformations into wolf, bat & mist, namely) and to examine history first-person. I think I'd start with the building of the Parthenon. |
