I used to be on Tripod, but that was perhaps five years ago now.

Maybe they were better back then though.

Oh!! On VLC, this works on most platforms too.

But it REALLY shines when you start using the streaming features. I've been able to watch TV shows streamed over a WAN and LAN before, it's fun.

Hmm... the time is about five minutes behind. My PABX phone here is synchronsied and is five minutes ahead of the server time.

And then there's my computer here, which is also incorrectly synching to a machine that is five minutes fast.

I trust the phone.

But I might argue that it isn't what it once was, as messageboards go. </disenchantment> That said, things change, people outgrow things and other people. I think I have largely outgrown it. Others still have not.

Cheese is good.

I particularly like "Tasty" cheese varieties when they are melted on top of stuff (ie, toast, pasta bakes)

I like fresh Parmesan cheese on pasta too. Not the pretend stuff, REAL Parmesan.

Mm.... yeah, I gotta admit, I don't think I'm fond of even the smell of blue cheeses, so I haven't been able to eat any of it.

But I like Parmesan, Mozzarella, Tasty, Cheddar, Dutch Smoked, Edam, Gouda, Colby, etc....

Yes, I know what blue cheese is.

I also know that a lot of people consider it to be a delicacy, and really good (!?) blue cheese is highly prized.

The closest I get to eating "blue cheese" is some with some white in it, which was not really my thing, but is a lot milder than the blue stuff from what I hear.

I'm just not one of those people that likes confrontation in general, so my reactions to confrontation tend to wind up being very poor. I probably make people angrier because I don't handle personally confrontational anger very well at all.

As for pessimism, I'm prone to that.

But I do try to fight it; it's partly depression and partly life history that get me that way.

Well.... I'm no longer at school, and I haven't been since 1997.

But school was a very frustrating experience for me. Maybe I had a bad attitude, maybe I'm just one of those people for whom the schooling system doesn't help, but... well... me and school -- was like fitting a square peg into a round hole.

In my senior years, I used to come to school "baked". It was a coping mechanism -- but not a very good one.

Well, the phone system here does synchronise with an atomic clock, and it is quite accurate. I am required to go by the official time on the phone system and not anything else.

However, our PC's used to (up until recently) synchronise also with the same clock. Now whatever they are synchronising to is roughly 4 and a half minutes fast.

We've tried to get it fixed, but in our case at work doing so will break a few other things. So I just have to train myself to check the right clock on my phone.

I've never really checked board time, as long as it's roughly accurate, I'm happy.

Squeezy Cheese. Cheese type product in a can. I used to eat this stuff when I was a kid. Now, I can't really stand it nearly as much as I used to. Discuss.

I'm not sure why, but grated cheese in general tastes good. I like "Tasty" which I guess is a form of cheddar.

And I don't think I've ever seen cheese in a can here.

Just cause it's "sarcasm", doesn't mean that I have to roll around on the floor splitting my sides with laughter you know.

Besides, it has been said that sarcasm is the lowest form of humour.

And I really don't find weapons of mass destruction all that funny, sarcasm or not.

They're cool in cartoons and stuff though, mostly cause the worst they do is turn people into black piles of soot with eyes. (Which characters somehow manage to recover from...
