Some questions about assembly languages in general are located here: http://www2.dgsys.com/~raymoon/faq/gen1.html#1 It is an efficient way to modify a game for ROM hacker, also a low-level but very close language. It is a long and tedious process to learn it, but someone who knows about ASM 65816 for example (the version to code and corrupt SNES data) can do nearly everything he likes |

I'd go with Gill too. This currency also got used too often in the later games; but at least more innovative than "GP"

When I played SMB3, I used to used two whistles to get to world 6 quickly, get a hammer suit and then warp to world 8 with the third whistle. There'S nothing more fun than to kill Bowser in his castle in a couple of seconds using some hammers

Making the object and sprite editor windows resizable would be good indeed. As fir Jespers suggestion using that ruler, I'd go a little further: I would like to have a small window which is like a scroll/preview of the current level (like a very tiny version of the level editor window, just that it shows a fixed symbol for every screen); it is impossible to see all objects; but as for screen exits for example, some screen(s) could be marked in different colors or with little icons on that: "E" - screen exit here; right-click on the level scroll opens up a context menu like "Goto screen/Modify screen exit/Delete" "M" - midway point location - right click shows "Goto screen/open up midway/start point dialog window". If the start and midway point were in the same screen, it could display "S/M" for example. |

Banners are evil, that's the reason why I'm running the web content filter The Proxomitron since nearly two years now Here's a screenshot plus it can remove many other stuff like flasgh etc. from webpages IN that screen an ad banner is replaced by that [ad] below, but the filter doesn't touch non-ad banners like this one in top of that or Acmlm's board. Edit: Please don't post super wide pictures. They stretch tables. Link to them instead Kasumi (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 04-05-04 05:53 PM) (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 04-05-04 05:56 PM) |

For me the hardest Mario game ever was Super Mario - The Lost Levels too ... Hell, that game was annoying and hard ... it even had negative Warp Zones, but at least you could sacrifice yourself by a hole nearby when got in there (rather lose a live than to restart over) But the levels were really innovative ... breezes which push you far away forward, really CHALLENGING castles; and even when you finished the game, then the even more hard worlds A - D came .. as mentioned above As for Yoshi's Island: "Extra 5 -Kamek's Revenge", there it is good to stock up on POWs and question clouds, as they will help really when playing the second part using the Heliyoshi: The baseball-type enemies are harmless then; but even then you mast act pretty quick, since you really must not do too many delay in the Heliyoshi duration time for reaching the end Extra 3 was far mor harder for me; I never finish that level to 100 % without using a +20 item; also some of the red coins are carried by these red flying Shyguys ... you have to act VERY quickly in the end to hit all three of them before they fly away forever (or just use a POW again ) (edited by Gandalf The Grey on 04-05-04 08:52 AM) |

It's nice, seen it was drawn from scratch on What might be good, could be a nice shading behind it (like seeing the icons, except the other background color). Now try to make a little moving animation where Blinky runs from the left, chasing Pac-Man ... and then running away from Pac-Man, after he picked up one of the large drops -> Ghost became vulnerable |

Definitively Omega from FF V. First of all you need four (expensive) Pearl Rings to defend against his evil first strike, since it does an insane amount of damage in the high thousands (the ring actually makes each character absorbing the damage). THEN he really starts ... Rocket Punch (HP -3/4 plus confusion) and Circle (instant kill and removal from battle) are only two of his most annoying attacks ... Plus he has inherent Reflect status and is insanely fast |

Alternatively power management can be disabled in the BIOS right after startup of the computer ... Try enble the "High Priority Mode" in the options menu, so maybe the computer reserves more free resources from other less-consumptive background tasks to give them to ZSNES when running. |

Am I wrong or denies Opera access to local files and directories by default (by security purposes) ? There's a simple trick/shortcut to make Opera browsing links on the local machine: http://www.opera.com/support/search/supsearch.dml?index=119&session=7dd0700bec5187a212398e7b2fdfe54a This bypasses the manual typing of addresses. |

When I played SMB1 the first time (I was 9 years old then), I was scared when I entered the later castles; after getting in castle #6 the sweat was running down after I tried to leap over these "

Mario Reloaded was quite good, althouth the sprites are pixelized ... I think the authors did need a veeery long time to make it that long and fitting As for the three movies from SMB1, 2 and 3, especially the music and enemy approaches were really ass-kicking (edited by Gandalf The Grey on 04-05-04 02:59 PM) |

Okay, I got convinced I'm using a Nokia 3310 really (if a 1337-one really existed it would have been sold out very fast ) for more than two years ... it has very basic options compared with newer ones, but since I only write SMS and phone with it, I'd keep it quite another while |
