| Level-only are WAY better than graphic and ASM. That's because a level-only hack is a REBORN version of the origional. When I hack, levels are TOP priority; graphics are lowest priority and palettes are second higest because they compliment the remix feel to the hack. Take Megaman 4 Gadget Master, the first MM4 hack ever, done by yours truly; all the levels are different, and that's why I got the good feedback from my friends Googie and the others. | |||

Let me test you to see if you ARE what you say, kid. 1) Tell me the location of the Enemy Transporter in Quartz Quadrant Act 1, Sonic CD. 2) Tell me the names of the two Zones Metal Sonic impersonates the bosses of in Sky Sanctuary, S&K. 3) Tell me exactly how to have all 7 Emeralds in Sonic 2 BEFORE finishing Emerald Hill Zone, w/o cheating. It's possible. Now, folks, lets see if the apprentice hath found his way to mastery... Sonic&tails, let's see if you can answer these Sonic Fanatic questions. (I do this to anyone who claims they are a Sonic fanatic, for I was so into Sonic when I was young that I lost all my friends and had none for 7 years, because they didn't want to be around me because Sonic was all I cared about. | Well, there's actually a Sonic-specific decompressor/re-compressor out there... I'll give you guys a very special link. It goes to the Sonic Hacking Community; there you'll find a message board, many downloads and a ton of cool Sonic hacks for several of the games. http://www.shadowsoft-games.com/ssrg Take the time to look around. It's all pretty cool. I became a member at one point, but it's been months since I visited back and probably never will again. I just lost my intrest in Sonic-hacking. |

| Krauser's leg sweep does more than trip the kids; it sends them backward in the air, them being a light load. But Ami focuses, and her crystal glows white as an invisible, telepathic bubble surrounds them both and lets them hover in the air. "That was cheap! Where's your sense of honor? Just for that, you'll have to fight us in the air." Ami fires two beams down at Krauser, one aimed at him and one aimed a little ahead of whatever direction he moved in to dodge. They circle Krauser from the air. |

| "You don't get it, do you?" Yiusi says, laughing brightly. "My attacks are all more useful than any of yours! Each one puts a piece of my puzzle together, as it does when you attack me and the Ball absorbs some of the damage. "Brace yourself! Here comes!" Yiusi throws the ball again, and as it approaches, it changes to a purple color. It will hit for heavy damage, but the recipitent doesn't feel pain until WAY later as the Ball attempts to fool Odin into thinking it's weak. THAT is where Odin's weakness lies, and each time the ball hit Odin or Yiusi was hit, life data was gathered, until the Ball had enough data to automatically pinpoint the target where it was weakest. Still, the Ball is operating at minimal effeciency compared to what it can do when even more data is gathered. Yiusi catches the ball as it comes back to her after it attempts to strike. "Don't go by only what you see," she warns with a smile. |

| Schwa's form wavers into the arena. The young man, dressed in a navy-blue uniform with many badges and a crimson stripe across the front, stares at the two fighters. "Nice going, both of you. But not too nice. The battle was FILLED with description, which is very good, but this fight was so... grim. It's like, you forget this is a sparring tournament and not a killing spree. Especially YOU, Melvin, with those machine guns! You were utterly wailing on him, not fighting honorably! Kirby, the Blue Dragon stunt wasn't much better... Remember, battles are to train the body and mind, not to end them. "It's a hard descision, because you both battled fiercely, but Kirby... My vote goes to you because I could tell you took it less seriously, which is better in this case. "Teddylot? Your vote, please?" |

| Schwa is waiting for Red and Blue by the tournament board. "Hi, Blue. You amaze me. I tried reading your thoughts during your battle, but every time I tried there was some kind of energy feedback that damaged me... Anger can be pretty strong. But about my judging descision... "You may have lost the battle, but you didn't lose my vote. Strange, I know, but I'll tell you why. You fought with the HARDEST circumstances anyone could ever have... rage. I've so been there, friend. Janus has seen it, Dracoon has heard of it. Watch." Schwa projects a mental picture to Blue of images of Schwa's battles of when he was enraged... During those fights, Schwa was engulfed in real flame, and his attacks were epic. The images subside, and Schwa speaks again. "You and I have something in common, man. We are both very focused most of the time, but like Red said, those dark feelings are bundled up and there's a random chance of a "meltdown", as I call it. I can relate to this, and I could see your emotional hurt, even without the mind-reading ability. "You and DarkSlaya were both evenly matched in every way, but you fought with harder circumstances by far. So my vote rests with you, Blue. I want you to learn from this experience, and the images I gave you, as a reminder to learn to deal with the inner emotions before they overflow out of the "calm tank". And lastly... learn a better way to use that Oracle contraption. Tell Green I said that." He smirks. "Goodbye." And with that, he turns, wavers and disappears. |

He chews both players out for a while, censored due to a lack of desire to be banned for 48 hours. Then he turns around for a moment and calms down for a while... Then, turning around again, he smiles. "Sorry guys, but you gotta spend some time around the pros. There was no dramatic emotion, no descriptive writing, and no pattern to attacks! Sion, I'll have to vote for you ONLY because you had a better start. But you made the HUGE mistake of copying Jarukoth's signature move, the Shadow Clone skill, and YOU, Seph; You godmodded when you fired a megaton energy beam without charging up or gathering energy in some way! Plus the fight was too friggin short! Sion, you get my vote, but if you want any chance at all of winning the tournament in the hands of elite players like Jarukoth, Grey or Dracoon, you'd better adjust your writing style. Do I make myself clear? "Very good. I will see you later." He turns and wavers away. |

But I can't think of any other way the two fighters differed from each-other. "I want you both to be more dramatic in future fights. Stacie, your strength was simply unmatched, and it made you think, too, because all your moves damaged you. Jarukoth, you specialized in style and agility in this fight, which was in turn how you kept the fight evenly matched. Without your speed, she would have crushed you, and the longer you fought, the more your foe hurt herself. Ingenious. "Jarukoth, I'm having to vote for you because you used an all-around combination of offense, defense, and agility. Stacie, your summoning technique was good, but in the end... Your battle skill was evenly matched, but Jarukoth bested you in style, and that is what wins him my vote. "Congratulations, Jarukoth." He wavers and disappears. |

| As Odin charges, the Yiusi Ball levitates beside her... and a phantom image of Odin is barely visible around the ball, but only for a split second. What could that mean? As Odin attacks, the ball changes to a blue color, and Yiusi holds her hands up to block. She is caught in the explosion, but she doesn't seem incredibly damaged when the dust clears. "On the contrary. See, I play defensively rather than aggresively. The Yiusi Ball not only seeks out the target's weak-point, it conjures the ultimate defense to your basic battle style! You specialize in offense, it seems, so the ball is giving me a 25% defense upgrade as long as you attack me!" Yiusi doesn't tell Odin that there is one flaw to the Ball; it cannot do two things at the same time. If Yiusi was caught while the ball was already off doing some other tactic, it would be a full-on hit. And Yiusi has no armor! Yiusi tries a new tactic. She throws the ball again, but something different happens. "Yiusi Pyro!" The ball, after reaching halfway to the target, combusts into a fireball that spreads out into many, many small embers, covering a wide area of effect in front of it for small fire-damage. The embers can burn on the ground for a while, and when they go out, the Yiusi Ball will reappear back in her hand, seemingly out of nowhere. And at that moment, something happens with the magenta portal as well. "Ah! It's ready!" The portal expands for a moment, and out flies an eagle-sized, light-blue dragon with butterfly wings. The portal then closes. The dragon flies to Yiusi and hovers behind her. "This is a Fairy Dragon, a pretty powerful summoned creature," Yiusi explains. "It will be aiding me for a while. Almost forgot about that." 7 turns before the transformation. |

| "You do not frighten me, warrior," Yiusi explains. "Nobody frightens me, except my own power which I know I have yet to discover." Yiusi moves her hand in an elipse, and a dark-purple sphere appears in the spot Odin is standing within 2 seconds. Without moving out of the way, he would be engulfed. Anything caught inside the sphere takes continuous damage, until the sphere disappears after 20 seconds. (Things can move in and out of the sphere like air.) The sphere is classified as a type of portal, but it's more like a vortex than a portal. The owl-sized, cyan dragon also takes to the air and begins to fly high circles around Odin. 6 seconds after Yiusi's attack, the Fairy Dragon fires a blast of Holy energy from it's mouth, about the size of the Yiusi Ball, which flies toward Odin's position at that moment. |

1) Okay, too easy. Point for you.  2) THAT was with Knuckles. With Sonic, once you reach Sky Sanctuary, you play through a third of the level and fight Metal Sonic in an Egg-O-Matic with a swinging Wrecking Ball, exactly like in Green Hill on Sonic 1. You then fight him later on, as he attacks you with the Capsule Formation Crusher (that's what I call it, anywho) from Metropolis Zone in Sonic 2. At the very end of the level you fight him man to man, and when he falls you get your Time and Ring bonus, then Sonic races up the crumbling tower and leaps epically into the Death Egg, beginning Death Egg Zone. 3) In Quartz Quadrant Act 1 you'll find the Enemy Transporter floating in the middle of a massive room that seperates the mines from the courtyard. You need to hit the red diagonal spring on the left, then another one on the right, and time your jump to land on the moving platform in the center, from which you can then jump on the transporter and destroy every badnik in the Past, creating a Good Future in Act 1. Yay. Ah well... I still believe you if you say you're a Sonic fanatic. I just like testing people and acting all snobby.  |

| Don't thank me. I'm just doing my job. But yeah, I understand when the players cheaply avoid damage like that... Damage is what makes the battle more realistic and dramatic, not to mention fair. Seph, I'm talking to YOU, too. SBing is supposed to be an exercise of the player's creative writing skills and imaginitive thoughts. Sometimes, throwing in a plot twist that makes the battle into more of a story, WILL earn a player my vote. But there's a difference between a plot twist and a sleek way to influence judges... I'm for the former, not the latter. Sion, sometime I want you and I to have a battle. In fact, I want that relitively soon. What do you think about that? Tell me and I'll start the thread. I believe it could help you get better at SBing in future battles, plus I'd enjoy it as much as you. So... whatsay? P.S. I've seen Seph's battle style more than once, and I don't like it. He godmodded in the fight against the DiEm Team (Jarukoth), he tried to start and justify a godmodding spree in the thread "The ULTIMATE Challenge", and he godmodded in this fight as well. Folks, these are examples of what NOT to do in an elite SB. And Seph, I promise you if you don't change this style, you'll never earn my vote in later matches. Creativity is EVRYTHING, also. When I judge it's based mostly on creativity, but also if the player followed the rules of SBing. Keep this in mind. |

| OOC: 'Scuse me, XXIX... I got a friend named Grey. He's a mod. And if he were here, he'd use his Ban Attack on you, which is so powerful it prevents you from posting from days. Yeah, nasty stuff. But hey, sucks to be you... "Wait, I was joking! It wasn't THAT cheap... We're more mature than you think. WHOA!" Krauser appears with the guns, and his shots nail Korra, who blocks Ami's body in midair. His cyber suit protects him from getting killed, but the bullets are beginning to hurt Korra and his systems. Ami counters a little over half of the bullets by concentrating and firing tiny energy bolts that knock each bullet out of the sky. Unfortunately, the concentration needed for that tactic distracted her and the telepathic bubble fell. Ami and Korra fell to the ground of the dome, but landed on their feet. Korra steps forward. "That hurt. Remember, a spar is just a practice match. You don't really want to kill anybody, do you?" He looks at his leg. It is emitting forks of grey electricity. "I'm leaking life energy now. See what you've done? I need a moment to mend this wound, if you will." He turns to Ami. "Ami, what do we do? I'll faint if this keeps up, and you have no healing capabilities..." Suddenly, Ami sits down and begins weeping. Korra, though weakening, bends down to console her. "Ami, what's--" She stops him in his tracks by doing the incredibly rare act of actually speaking an entire sentence. "Korrachi... I can sense your life dwindling. I am afraid." At this, Korra begins weeping too. "I love you so much, Ami..." he says to her. "Can't you see that? Why don't you speak like this all the time?" Ami doesn't respond. | "Protect me, Guardian!" "Protect me, Yiusi." They share the same thought as Yiusi holds the blue Yiusi Ball up to the slash. Even though the Yiusi Ball is hit, Yiusi takes some of the damage because they are one. But still it's effect is in play; the effect of reducing physical damage. And still, each hit they take gathers more data from Odin about his offensive and defensive techniques. "It's a curious thing how you can break my Black Portal attack with just a thought. But if there is one thing you can't break... it's the bond with my Yiusi Ball. Already I feel us becoming one with each-other again... It's an unexplainable feeling, and soon it will be your downfall. Attack again, Come on." Yiusi lightly tosses the ball in the air, and it soon begins orbiting circles around her... faster and faster, until it's moving so fast there is a solid dome of energy around her. The Yiusi Ball is now moving at the speed of an electron, making a light shield. Any attacks that come in contact with it, data is abosorbed by the ball... but the shield can come down easily. It protects her from every angle. And meanwhile, the Fairy Dragon attacks again with a slightly stronger holy blast. It's trying to fight it's hardest without wearing itself out... | Schwa quickly appears again, and stares at the teddy bear. "Whoa! That was TM707! You don't just GIVE people TM707! Do you have any idea what the hell that contains? "No? Okay, it contains the ultimate attack Nitro Pierce, which blows yourself up and creates a nuclear explosion that pierces armor! You instantly end the battle for all players! Give me that back so it can be safely destroyed!" He snatches back the TM. "Thank you, you have just secured another demonic artifact to be destroyed. Please take this as a reward, Teddylot." He gives Teddy a gold tooth and teleports out again. |
